But they have done it before, with the first X-Men wave, so it's not impossible, I just sadly dont' think it's likely.

I'm also extremely worried that we saw nothing beyond Hercules of the Avengers waves, assuming he is in that. Mainly because I know they tend to hold stuff back on the movie themed waves because of reveals, but if they were going to give us Ebony Maw/Corvus Glaive, they wouldn't be spoiling anything as they already showed up in A: IW. I really do hope they're coming but with them being no shows so far I'm definitely concerned.

They said Shuri was in the Avengers wave and Genus-Vell has to go somewhere

Okay, that's a little more. I assume that Genus Vell will go in the Captain Marvel wave, which I think was confirmed will be a wave for sure.

That's even one less space for a Firestar figure then given that's a female figure. I guess I don't see her happening this year, either.

Last night on his stream, Rektangular said we're getting more of the Black Order next year. He didn't specify if it were Corvus or Maw, but hopefully both.

I know he's not official but he does tend to be right, so hopefully that is the case. thank you! I would assume it would have to be Corvus or Maw...what other options are there if they go the MCU route?

Starlord67 07-22-2018 01:50 PM

Who said "this will be the last STORM we do?" I have got to get a first appearance Storm. I want a Jim Lee Storm of course (in pearl white) but I feel Storm is a strong enough character to keep making an appearance in future waves! AND I AGREE WITH YALL....WHERE'S FIRESTAR? Classic Thor and Classic Hulk?

I think something was mentioned at the panel that fans of them will be rewarded for their patience.

I may be totally misconstruing the words of the panelist but they definitely made it sound to me like once they get this Storm out that would be the last Storm figure they're planning on making.

That is why I am extremely sure we're going to get a classic ANAD X-men box set, and before the Jim Lee Storm release. I just can't believe that they would leave us without a FA Storm. But yeah, once they get those two done, I can see them feeling her core looks are completed. If they do that, they could give us a classic Colossus and a Nightcrawler as well, which would be nice. I'm not just "wishing" for this either, I strongly feel it will happen. Of course, I could be wrong.

They should know by now that we have no patience. We always want what is revealed immediately. And once we get exactly what we want most, we move something else into that top spot to groan about and be impatient that it's not done - myself included. :D

It also seemed to me that they said that would be the last Storm they would do (though I could be misconstruing that).
Sooooooo.....

I'm also going to say I think we will end up getting a Giant Sized X-Men set. Maybe we'll get Nightcrawler and classic Colossus in that. There's no way they're going to never do a FA Storm.

Of figures revealed Blink is my favorite, but Hoverchair Xavier is a close second. REally looking at that Gambit, does it seem like his head is a little squished thin and the hair is a bit too spiky? I like the rest of the figure but something about his face seems off proportion wise.

the prob with gambits face is its designed like wolf cap and the jugg cable with the big chin and boxed nose, so wish they would fix it but i am sure they want , just hope when they do alt gambits its with a new head kinda like how they did with cable on the deadpool wave.

xjuza 07-22-2018 02:06 PM

she is an x-man? i never knew that only thing i knew her from was spiderman and his amazing friends, i mean i know she is a mutant, like what team was she on? and for like how long

Why they wouldnt give us the entire black order when its still relevant ill never understand. Its lile they purposely dont like giving us full teams at mass retail.

donmeca2020 07-22-2018 02:09 PM

Isn't there one more reveal today ?

Is there? I thought in years past the panel was it, except for like 1-2 figures they'd put out after the panel they didn't reveal in the panel.

My guess is it came down to a matter of who they really wanted to fit in. Infinity War had so many characters that no matter what they did some characters' fans were gonna walk away disappointed.

Yah but they coulda put maw or glaive in place of serpent society guy.

Part of the hold up on Storm could be her cape. Boog Nice interviewed Dwight Stahl last night and asked him about using soft goods on the figures. Dwight stated that he hated soft goods and that they were more expensive to make. Hasbro could be experimenting with new materials and designs for Storm's cape since the cape tips usually connect to her wrists.

Firestar could always be put into next year's vintage wave. She'd be a better fit for a VW anyways.

As for the Avengers wave, I think there is plenty of room for Ebony Maw and Corvus Glaive. For Infinity War, Hasbro didn't reissue any of the GOTG or Spiderman since they had all been given figures last year. I would expect them to do the same thing for any characters wearing the same costume in Avengers 4. Based on the concept art for Avengers 4, six of the remaining heroes are shown wearing new costumes. One of them is Captain Marvel and she'll get a figure(s) in her own wave and Hulk is large enough that they'll probably make him a BAF again. That leaves four Avengers who would need a slot in an Avengers wave. If Hasbro makes two Avengers waves with six figures per wave, that's four slots out of twelve taken up by MCU Avengers. That leaves eight out of twelve slots available for Ebony Maw and Corvus Glaive.

Was there a pic of Scorpion shown for the ML Line?

Saw this but can't find the source.

But it is overall consistent with what Dwight and Ryan said in the interview with Boog.

No. There was a Scorpion shown for the Into the Spider-Verse movie line, and some wires got crossed there on social media, leading to people claiming Hasbro unveiled a Legends Scorpion.

Tim 07-22-2018 04:41 PM

The More MCU Figures the better if you ask me. Hopefully Quicksilver or how very unlikely some Agents of Shield figures could be made

Photo Dave 07-22-2018 04:43 PM

Well crap. It looks like I'll be on the ML train for 2019.

I'm gonna need the following:
Professor X
Deadpool & Vespa
Gambit
Archangel (already pre-ordered)
Magik
The Kingpin BAF Wave (though I'm meh on what was shown of it)
Hercules
Ant-Man
Wasp
Black Panther
Hawkeye
Vision
Wolvie & Sentinel (possibly multiples)
Skullcrusher
Blink (dependent on BAF - I'm not really an alt. universe guy)

Time to start savin' my pennies.

Have fun, all!

In the aforementioned interview Boog actually asked about getting AOS Ghost Rider and they seemed open to the idea. Fingers crossed!

Of course, I also don't get the love for that character. She seems to be an even bigger gimmick than Deadpool.

In an entertainment genre where superheroes are so plentiful that even the more extravagant characters sometimes feel a bit mundane, some of us occasionally delight in the absurd. It keeps the hobby interesting.
I want Firestar too, man. But I want Stallone as Starhawk and the original Death's Head and all kinds of crazy crap. Squirrel Girl shows up in a new cartoon they're doing and it looks fun, so it was on my mind.

I've posted this photo here before, but I was looking at it again because I don't have the figure in front of me right now and I was comparing the paint work:

https://farm1.staticflickr.com/765/3...1d6f2565_o.jpg

I thought about selling her to whatever the market was going to drop to, but I think I kinda prefer the lighter lipstick and eyes on my Book of the Vishanti version over the retail version they're showing.
