^ That Wolvie collection looks like my Snake Eyes collection. LOL

Goldengreg 06-19-2013 12:19 AM

That's a lot of Logans here!
Reminds me an hilarious issue of Toyfare Theatre where the Marvel Legends attacked Megoville, and they got rid of the Wolverines by asking them who was the real one :)

CSI: Marvel, Episode 1
"So we got a COD yet, Doc?"
"Acute adamantium poisoning."
"What?! How?"
"Wolverine gutted him like a fish."

no headpool boooooooooooooooooooooooo

Meh. We pretty much said that last week. I can't remember offhand, but a fellow Arker basically explained why you wouldn't see something like Headpool from Hasbro. Both Marvel and Hasbro have stated that they will not be doing any [more] merchandise featuring characters from the Marvel Zombies universe. Period.

And sadly, that includes Headpool.

He comes with a masked head and a smiling half-masked head. Put the masked head on Deadpool and that half-masked scarred head becomes Headpool.

Without making headpool and saying it's Headpool... it's pretty damn close.

I agree 100%.
Thanks for the better shot of the pack, too.

trebleshot 06-19-2013 11:27 AM

Well, collectors are free to call their toys whatever they want, regardless of what is printed on or implied by the package. Kids have been doing that for decades, now. *shrug*

But the alternate head is "supposed" to be Deadpool's regular noggin' with the mask partially up (which he has done numerous times in 616 Marvel) so he can eat or drink. And in this case, tacos.

I still wish we had gotten a team pack that we really needed. Shoot, I would've been happy with a Force Works Team pack so I could finally get a 90s modular armor iron man. Or even better, a 70s avenger 3 pack with black knight, beast, and hellcat. That Deadpool is a very easy skip for me.

^ This. All of this. 1 Deadpool is enough for me.

So many great teams could be easily completed.

Invaders 2-Pack
Spitfire & Toro
Completes Invaders

Heroic Age Avengers 3-Pack
Jessica Jones, Mockingbird (modern), Sharon Carter
Completes HA New Avengers & Secret Avengers

Marvel Ladies 3-Pack
Hellcat, Valkyrie (Classic) & Tigra
Completes West Coast Founders
Completes The Defenders

Future Foundation First Family "3"-Pack
Nathaniel Richards + Mini-Figs of Franklin, Valeria & Leech

Dark Avengers 2-Pack
Ares + Noh-Varr

Etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

If the "not completing teams so people stay interested" thing that's always thrown around is real, that just sucks lol.

kylactus 06-19-2013 02:41 PM

hows bout that fin fang foom we saw....like FOREVER AGO!!!

They do have the Invaders 3 pack with the Skull in it...

Yes they do...

Toro & Spitfire are the only two missing members.

Hasbro's current brand manager for Marvel didn't even know that existed when asked about it at Toy Fair. My guess is that we won't see it any time soon, if ever. I mean, the boss would have to know the thing exists to okay a production run, right?

kylactus 06-19-2013 05:51 PM

The brand manager might not be privy to every offering in a line, I think of a brand manager as being more in charge of the general "big picture" stuff, like the direction of the line, deciding to cut articulation, quality, and distribution... Hasbro has obviously found a skilled titan of industry for this position...but I digress. Dude probably doesn't know, or have final approval on individual items.

I'm glad a con exclusive is hit/miss for folks. I'd rather skip a Deadpool Corps set because I don't see it is as that important compared to, say, the X-Force Archangel that I'd have to have (and would pay an astronomical ebay price. For me, Con exclusives because of their limited quantities shouldn't be something that almost every fan will want

He talked in detail about a lot of the Marvel stuff they were offering and I don't think they put out so much Marvel that he doesn't know most of what's in the works, especially if it's high cost. The guy is fairly new (a year maybe?) but maybe a brand manager just doesn't bother with details and delegates most stuff to his underlings. I really have no way of knowing.

Invaders 2-Pack(...)

Problem is, if we have 2 or 3 packs, they would again have to include a Wolvie, Spidey, Thor or Ironman... (´・_・`)

MADREVJACK 06-20-2013 03:04 AM

If there are two characters I love in the Marvel U, it's Doc Doom and The Hulk.

So, on one hand, it looks kind of meh. On the other hand, my 2 year old daughter already loves it from the trailer, and the release of this cartoon, hopefully guarantees us a leader, ABomb, and Abomination figure release in August when the show drops.

We are already getting a Leader in the new avengers figs and both Abomb and abomination in the next wave of MU (wave 23 not the Elektra wave) but the cartoon looks fun

That's what I'm saying. The cartoon drops in August, and most likely they are going to release the previously mentioned figures at that time.
