No worries, you are very welcome.

Took the survey, told them I am unlikely to buy a figure priced at $25. I was pleasantly surprised to see a question about dioramas on there. I hope people are voting no on the chase/variant figure thing, though, because that's just asking to be scalped.

I gave them big fat NO on the chase figure question. Getting rid of them was one of the best things they ever did for Marvel Legends.

Penguino 07-30-2018 05:22 PM

And now we got these running changes. They're almost the same, I mean the green head Mysterio that everyone wanted the white head is now nearing 100 bucks

hasbroherofan 07-30-2018 05:33 PM

I would love a return of diorama bases if Hasbro is gonna jack up the price of the Legends. Or even just selling separate diorama and backdrop pieces. Other companies already do this, after all.

Harbinger 07-30-2018 05:44 PM

Hasbro is raising legends prices for basic figs above 20 bucks? They do and im done.

The implication seemed to be that it was specifically movie figures potentially with lots of accessories, essentially just expanding the practices of the MCU 10th line to all movie figs, but even then I hope they don't.

Hell they dont have baf pieces so for 20 bucks they damn well better be loaded wth gear cause the movie tenth figs sure aint worth the increase prices. I have heard lotsa bad qc stories especiallythe ironman. Everything from crappy joints, to two of the same legs/feet and the wings breaking while removing from package,

MeLikeJinx 07-30-2018 06:55 PM

The new Archangel already costs 35 dollars... and he only comes with 3 extra heads... one more than Multiple Man who is regular price. The hit monkey Archangel was regular price too.

I think it's only supposed to cost $30; that's what it cost at EE, anyway. Plus it also comes with the claw piece for Apocalypse.

VashTS 07-30-2018 07:30 PM

On Archangel.

When you start seeing tiered pricing, it means Hasbro is testing the waters on the fans.

It's a straight repaint, with repainted heads essentially and a claw.

kenm2474 07-30-2018 07:42 PM

Got my shipping notice from eBay and my Deadpool 2 Wave will be here on Wed.
Maybe Ill get my shipping Notice from Dorkside Tomorrow.

Seeing how much they can get away with by either giving us less or the same but charging more.

Archangel 07-30-2018 08:16 PM

Seems like they are toying with the idea of no BAF’s. Bad move IMO.

That’s literally every comic figure they release now with a few exceptions. The Movie and tv figures on the other hand have gotten unique body and head sculpts. Hasbro seems to be paying more attention to their Mcu figures then comic.

Time for a little pictorial appreciation. My first BAF since I started back up: The Unstoppable Juggernaut!

I gotta say, I really dig this thing.

Have fun, all!

MeLikeJinx 07-30-2018 08:59 PM

^ I love my BAF Juggernaut too! I know a lot of people prefer the Marvel Select version, but I like the heavy feel of the plastic on the BAF Juggernaut... such an awesome toy.

I dunno....id be down for legends pre baf series....makes picking and choosing much much simpler. Though higher prices are a bigger turn off.

I made it pretty clear that I'd be out at 25, but my preference at 20 was face printing, lots of accessories and no BAF part.

I realized the other day when someone asked, I've really completed 2 BAFs in the last 2 and a half years, so clearly the BAFs aren't doing it for me.

Though thankfully the new Hercules is (I believe) an all new sculpt.

Seeing as how one on ebay will cost me $70, does not include any heads nor the Apocalypse arm, I'm getting a good deal.

Penguino 07-30-2018 09:51 PM

If BAFs go to the wayside they same characters will likely be available at an extra cost. They won't stop producing larger figures and characters, no way.

Some could even budget some smaller BAFs into the regular line.

That I the route where we get more stuff in the long run. I don't see them dropping BAFs though. They sell so many figures many of us would skip just for that BAF part. The amount of King Cobra, Songbird, and Taskmasters I saw sold for little to nothing when that wave was popular was insane.

That's the key part of this. Even for low selling characters like that, you have to imagine a lot of the meager sales they got anyway were BAF-related.

There's also the retail element as well. Without that it's gonna be harder to get stores to take a chance on waves stocked with lesser known characters, especially if they stop tying them to movies (I don't think that's what Hasbro is doing but I've seen some speculation that the 10th anniversary stuff could be them testing the waters to see about just going an all movie/TV line).
