Definitely a possibility with him being the main (or at least one of the main) antagonist of the upcoming Spider-Man game.

I'm surprised that haven't announced him already since they have that PS4 Spider-Man coming out soon.

And yeah, I was gonna say an Amazing Friends 3-pack would be the best way to release Firestar. Give us a redeco Pizza Spidey with a Steve Ditko-inspired head, a bald-headed Iceman (maybe on the Spidey 2099 body if they can) and a classic Firestar. That set would be absolute aces and would satisfy so many itches for collectors. You get a classic costume for a classic X-Man in Iceman that can fit into numerous eras of X-Men (including Jim Lee). You finally get your Firestar. And you get a classic, iconic look for Spider-Man. And to top it off, it would be a tribute to the late Steve Ditko.

That would be insanely popular with collectors, especially if you sell it through something like Amazon.

yea but those are still heroes and villians its not background characters like moira mactaggert, in an action figure line , and why should hasbro even continue with the line based off superheroes and villians when people will complain about unknown heroes , aunt may isnt unknown heck i wish she was they id be like ok i can see a figure of her but no i know she is just a character that is there for peter parker (not spider man)

Really hoping I get some notice tomorrow. I didn't order a case, just the set. I wonder if they're shipping out full cases first. Maybe I should've ponied up the additional $10 for that extra Wolverine I don't actually need/want.

ye i hope iceman gets the sunfire buck idk why they think he is a toothpick i remember iceman being atleast as big as cyclops , and they pizza spiddy buck really needs to go like retire it already.

Tim 07-31-2018 04:01 PM

I’d prefer him on the Bigger body as well like that new Scarlet spider but hell I’d take any “Classic” ice man I could get! As to Mr. Negative I think if Hasbro did him they’d might go the cheap route. And just do Normal suit body with repainted Terrax wave Rodgers head.

I think for the kind of audience that the Legends line typically targets, the hero/villain thing isn't necessarily a big deal. Of course, I wouldn't want an entire Spidey wave to be nothing but supporting characters who are just regular people, but I can definitely tell there were more people asking for, say, an Aunt May, Gwen Stacy or J. Jonah Jameson who are staples to Spidey's mythos than, say, Red Goblin or Superior Venom, who are fairly short-lived characters and in the case of the Red Goblin, probably won't be around a year from now.

If this was the Superhero Mashers line, which is targeted more towards kids, I'd definitely agree that nobody would care about an Aunt May figure.

Yeah, I'd love if they just made Spidey 2099 the go-to Spider-Man buck, but seeing as how we've been stuck with Bucky Cap for, what, 5 years or so, I'd say Hasbro is gonna get as much out of that mold as they can...lol.

Exactly! It feels like Hasbro is afraid to make them single carded. I can’t think of many plain clothed people they’ve released single carded. Other then Jessica Jones. I’d much rather have JJJ or aunt May and Gwen Stacy then what ever the hell Red goblin is haha.

Starlord67 07-31-2018 04:16 PM

Spiderman/Firestar/Iceman would be AWESOME...we of course would need Ms. Lion. That's a three pack I could see being very popular!

Stegron BAF....YES PLEASE!

I didn't order a case. I only ordered the wave.

Yeah, that's my only real consistent beef with the Legends line sometimes. The Legends part of the brand tends to get forgotten about, and we end up with looks that don't even last long enough in the comics to leave any real impact.

I've got no problem with modern costumes/characters. It's just that with the nature of comic books these days, so many of them are discarded before they leave any real impact so I'm left with a figure that I really don't know what to do with since I have no real connection to it and it doesn't really fit into any of the teams I'm trying to build up.

That's the beef I had with the recent Magneto. It's a decent look, but I try to put it next to any of the X-Men characters I already have and it doesn't even look right.

Why you gotta do me dirty like that, man? I specifically bought King Cobra without the BAF part. Gotta keep my Legion of Losers/Ridiculous Costume Squadron strong.

Starlord67 07-31-2018 04:35 PM

I agree...we need to stick with iconic looks for our characters. A Firestar in her red/yellow look would be the only acceptable look in my opinion. I liked her costume in the Perez run on Avengers but its not a look I want in her figure form. Typhoid Mary was a tad disappointing..I wanted the Romita Jr. Look from her early DAREDEVIL appearances.

xjuza 07-31-2018 04:37 PM

btw not saying there shouldnt be an aunt may figure, just saying if it has to be made , do it with no BAF piece, same with all the characters you want to doll the figures up with like a peter parker , gwen stacy , they are doing it right with the wolverine / logan not having a BAF. im sure if aunt may did get made with no BAF part it will be a peg wamrer unless it came with alt peter parker heads

Yeah you've got a point there. Maybe not everybody is into Spider-Man's supporting cast as much as we might be.

I do think a JJJ would do well though, simply due to the potential for head swaps and kitbashing, though I have no doubt in my mind Hasbro will use that upcoming MCU Klaue for a JJJ figure since they have literally all the parts they need, they would just need to make a new left arm to match the right one.

LOL....I actually really like that King Cobra, though I never got around to getting Eel and I don't have Constrictor so my Serpent Society is looking hella weak.

kylactus 07-31-2018 04:59 PM

They could do kind of what they did with chameleon and do a civilian body with multiple heads and hands, like aunt May (old lady body) that you could swam hands and head to blind al. Or jeans and t shirt medium male body with heads to make peter, Matt Murdock, Scott summers, etc. or a prison jumper with multiple unmasked villain heads. That way they would not only most likely sell well, but sell multiples. And the many heads will make up for a BAF.

Probably. Most likely why my X-Men case was shipped out earlier.

It's probably not popular, but my general stance on this is that if a costume's been done already, I prefer to see a different look done before revisiting that well. That's why I'm one of the 8 people who was fine with the Apocalypse wave Magneto, as we've already gotten two classic Magnetos in the line. I felt the same way about the reveal of Hercules at SDCC; I can see why some folks are upset about it being his modern Avengers costume, but I would've been disappointed if they'd just redone his classic outfit when they've already done it before.

Wolverine came in from BBTS today. While I prefer Wolverine's brown costume as we got in the Juggernaut wave I'm still a big fan of the tiger stripe look as it is his more recognized X-men outfit. As a toy I feel this is superior to the brown costume because of the new touches they put in. As others have noted the claws are more than a little easy to reposition but when I get them how I want them they stay that way so it's a minor issue.

I wonder if the deathlok/skullbuster body will lend any parts to Forge?

Awesome Wolverine. Great Shots. They need to make an Astonishing Wolverine Now.

Isn't he coming in the next x-men assortment? I saw pictures of him in the Hasbro panel video.

Hopefully they give it enough time so people don't complain about too much Wolverine but I could see that happening, the MU Astonishing Wolverine is one of my favorites in its scale. Knowing Hasbro this current Wolverine mold is also going to get an X-force repaint sooner or later.
