If you were creating the Hulk today, how would you write his origin? He has to have the same look, powers and abilities (i.e. fueled by rage, can't always control the change, etc). Personally, I'd opt for a chemical cocktail a la the original inspiration for the Hulk: Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.

Just not being stuck in the path of a gamma bomb. Some sort of genetic treatment that gets out of control or some exotic particle that doesn't exist in science that can magically react with human dna or something. It doesn't have so make sense as I said before, these days it just shouldn't be something that's easily proven. Magic and made up stuff still works. It's part of why we accept Spider-Man's spider bite because it never says exactly how the spider is made or what kind of radiation (I think). I'm not trying to over think it but just explain why they don't continue to use the more silly origins when creating new characters (it would be lazy). The only exceptions are creating a character based off an established character. It's like how She-Hulk got he powers from a blood transfusion. I mean, sure, whatever.

Purge, exodus, call it what you will a lot of good people left and the discussion here is much slower. I don't see a problem with the talking general comic stuff related to Marvel characters, especially when we don't have new toy related stuff of any worth to talk about. Once good product starts shipping or they reveal some new stuff (maybe at SDCC) then there will be plenty to talk about.

On a totally unrelated not (but revelant to the topic) does anyone owns the BAF Apocalypse? Is he coming well along the MU figs? A french guy is selling one on Ebay and I'm tempted...

Iceman 06-27-2013 06:16 AM

Baf Apoc is great for MU. I know lots of guys have him for the MU displays. The baf Sentinel and Giant-Man also work really well.

PROVOST 06-27-2013 07:48 PM

Playing round with a new bit of fabric for photo background - something "neutral"

17.49 for me.
Which made it roughly 18.91 with tax.

That'd be awesome. Because then twice a year I'd be more powerful than Galactus. :)

I think he's great. But I know some collectors think he's oversized, even with his shape-changing abilities.

If the Vs. Street Fighter games are any indication, he's a tad too small, if anything.

Back to toys! This is pretty sweet.

Thanks guys, I'm gonna go out and grab an Inhumans set, maybe WCA.

Also, digging the pepper Potts custom on eBay, nice use of the Star Wars mandalorians chick's head.

Saw a 6" Dragon Man advertise in the middle there of the forum, and I was like "Oh, that'd be nice to pick up to use with my MU, might even tinker him to make him the Future Foundation version!"
