I hit every Walgreens in my area... no pig or Scream. I ran into some money, so I’m going to preorder the Sauron wave to avoid the hunt. The other Spider-Man wave may be a pass for me, I’ve got to say no at some point or I’ll be broke and alone. Thanks Hasbruh.

The rumored Magneto/Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver three pack makes no sense to me. I thought Marvel was trying to undo that storyline and make the twins In humans(which I find ridiculous) was that scrapped?

Real answer: Fox and Disney are about to get married (well, Fox will be more like a concubine.) so the retcon doesn't matter anymore since it was nearly 100% motivated by the bad blood between the studios. Edit: also, I can imagine they want to try and get away from making more characters Inhumans. I don't hate the inhumans by any means, but the fan base for the comic X-Men/Mutants is much larger than for the comic Inhumans. Not to mention that the Inhumans is the first (only?) property that Marvel Studios has introduced to a larger, non-comic audience that has not been successful. I know on the comic spectrum the push for them is no longer there, and that can't be coincidental. for me, the only thing that makes me sad about is that it lessens the chance of getting a Maximus, Lockjaw, and Crystal. |
I wAs hoping for more Inhuman figures as well In the Walgreens exclusives but it seems Marvels Merry Mutants is taking that over. I think they should have kept the Royal Family in the MCU as a film. These are characters with very visual powers that would have been best served on the big screen.
Edit: as you can see...I'm all about the Mutants..but I love the In humans as well. |

Finally getting around to watching more of the X Men films, and I'd like to talk about a couple things.
DOFP was a lot of fun. And so far, Apocolypse is actually ok IMO. But something that stood out that I though was odd is that despite that most characters have either worn civilian clothes or some black leather costume that they had Psylocke wear something so similar to her comic appearance. |

https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1816/...e3709e_k_d.jpg Bishop and Omega Red arrived today courtesy of Ebay. I was able to take advantage of the recent coupon day that Ebay had earlier in the week, and get both of these guys for a little under 25 dollars a piece with free shipping. My thoughts on both of these are pretty much the same, they are REALLY well done figures that completely blew away my low expectations. The paints on mine were done really well on both figures, and the quality of the figures themselves was a serious step up from the last two waves I've picked up (X-Men and Venom waves) with no QC issues what-so-ever on either figure. I really like the new body molds being utilized on both of these, although with Bishop, the wide frame makes it a bit difficult to hold a rifle properly with two hands. Omega Red also has a new body with butterfly joints, although the body harness does put a kink in it. I really wish the new Venom figure had been done on one of these new bodies over the Hyperion, but I'm sure Hasbro will double dip with it in no time... My one major gripe with both figures, is the scale of them. They seem a bit big...ESPECIALLY Bishop. Upon comparing Bishop to the Walgreens Punisher (one of the bigger bodied figures,) Bishop is quite a bit bigger. Bishop is a big dude...but he's not Sagat from Street Fighter big. Omega Red seems to have this issue as well, but I'm willing to forgive it because of the armored pieces which cover up that size discrepancy a bit. Omega Red was also missing the omega symbol on his head band...it was not painted on mine so I was forced to touch it up myself. All in all though, they're both VERY good figures, and I give them a thumbs up all the way. These are great updates to the Toybiz ones, and the stellar paints and QC made them even more delightful. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1794/...15ea30_h_d.jpg And just for fun... https://farm1.staticflickr.com/940/4...e1921c_h_d.jpg |

Damn. I was hoping classic Mags was gonna be in the Gambit wave. I was hoping classic Mystique was gonna be in that wave too, but she's a Walgreens exclusive now. I hope Gambit isn't the only figure I end up wanting from that X-men wave... it will make Gambit harder to find IMO when everybody just buys Gambit and leaves the rest of the wave to clog pegs... kinda like Jim Lee Cyclops from the 2nd X-wave.

Hell, that's probably why it's taking so long for us to get classic versions of Thor and Iron-Man. |
I think you're right.
It won't happen, and probably shouldn't happen, but it would be hilarious (to me) if they made an Emma Frost and the Stepford Cuckoos multipack. Classic Emma then five identical teen "Emmas". |

With Hasbro saying they're focusing heavily on the 90s era, I'm hoping we see at least one more member of that era in this wave outside of Forge. I get the feeling 90s Strong Guy will be the BAF to give us another 90s X-Factor member, and they HAVE to know everybody is waiting on a Beast by now. |

Honestly that wouldn't be THAT bad. More people want Emma, so either you would be able to sell the extra Emmas, or the extra cuckoos would be cheaply available on ebay/for trade.
Edit: Rektangular said we might get an Abigail Brand too, please, please let that be true. |

I...enjoyed Apocalypse. My only real complaint was Apocolypse looked like Ivan Ooze. Other than that, I thought it was a fun movie. Not as good as DOFP or X2 but still good. EDIT: Though it does make me want to track down the purple haired Psylocke. |
Thanks again Trivial Psychic!
The Vintage head would look great on the Thunderbolts one as the Walgreens on the white Punisher. Thanks! Didn't help me want the Thunderbolts and those bandana heads any less! |

I like Modular Iron Man and would likely purchase a new figure of it but first Hasbro needs to gives us the Silver Centurion goddammit.

Also, does anyone know what time of day Hasbro usually puts their SDCC exclusives up for order? I already nabbed the trenchcoat Red Skull and Tesseract off eBay for not much over original price, and I just want Colleen and the unmasked Matt head from the Defenders pack, so all I'm trying to get is the Power of the Primes Optimus Primal w/ Throne of the Primes. I'm hoping to avoid getting up juuuust barely too late to get it. |
