http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/...psmsnkovs6.jpg than vv-this-vv Damian, I have no faith in your taste in figures. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...UC_Damian6.jpg The Icons may have better articulation, and higher sculpting detail (which is natual and better be that way), but you cannot possibly call the DCUC one ugly as sin after seeing the Icons one. |

http://news.toyark.com/wp-content/up...ure-2-Pack.jpg (you can see Damians neck) http://news.toyark.com/wp-content/up...rth-Figure.jpg I'm definitely getting Super Sons and Supergirl. |
So what accessories do you think will be axed?
I'm going to say the extra Supergirl head, one of Damien's hands with the batarangs (if not both), and the Superman head with the heatvision. |

Of course they might not scrap any of them, I don't think anyone solicited with the Batgirl and Darkseid figures were scrapped and they would have been likely contenders for cost cutting. Wait and see I guess. |

True, but they were also quite large and involved sets, I would have thought the temptation to cut costs on smaller accessories and try and sell it on the strength of the wow factor would have been there.
My main worry is that this is all we will see for Icons in terms of new figures at Toy Fair, that would be a bigger disappointment than losing a heat vision head for Supergirl in a few months. |

I sold off my entire DCU collection for this line. Now I will not even get my god damn Swamp Thing! https://i.imgflip.com/1kccpc.jpg |
Oh my God, are you kidding me...
|
Swamp Thing could still be coming as he was photographed with other toys that have just come out & it seems too late to axe that wave if it's due in April.

Wow, this sucks. I was really looking forward to the Jim Balent era Catwoman and I might have picked up a few other figures too. I really liked how the Harley Quinn fits in so nicely with my DCUC figures. I don't understand why they are changing direction like this so early in the game. Do they really think they'll sell more expensive multipacks with a few diorama peices and some ACBA cutouts than they would sell individual figures. With all the delays they've had the last couple of years, they could have increased the scale of the figures gradually, worked out the kinks with their articulation and sales would have probably picked up for the Icons line.
Also, they shouldn't have wasted everyone's time with Killer Croc, Baby Doll and Fire Suit Batman from the New Adventures. They should have gotten essential characters from the Animated Series like Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy out on the pegs a long time ago instead of going the multipack route. I think they're going to be surprised how many fans hold out for the 5 pack to hit clearance. |

The worst part about the Iconic Moments stuff is that means we are going to have a lot of figures feature battle damage, which I personally hate if there isn't a regular version available. |

Comment redacted because I'm not adding anything constructive.

That's extremely disappointing.
Maybe they will launch a new single figure 6" scale line that will scale with Icons but have fewer accessories or something to give it a lower price point. |
salty about deathstroke and catwoman possibly cancelled
i was really anticipating them |
Some of the sculpts are really excellent in this line, but they're just too small...I don't know why they made that decision.
The only one I want to get is Harley Quinn. |

I commented that the decision to abort an entire mature product line couldn't have been made lightly, as it reflects negatively and might indicate friction within the organization. When stuff like this happens, it makes customers nervous; nervous customers are hesitant shoppers. Hopefully, the matter is unique, contained and resolved, but...?
For my part, I agree with the decision, as some of the kiboshed items begged for revision. But I'm puzzled by some of the stuff that's green-lighted as well. Where is the old boutique standard? Where is the market focus? Given the falling viewership, the preponderance of TV figures seems to carry more than a little risk. DC Collectibles has been a mainstay for me. I hope all will be well. |
