bah. they chickened out on the underpuppies! I'll just wait for the inevitable retro card release or Inferno Multipack.
|
Goblin Queen in a Ghost Rider HasLab is stupid. This HasLab has become a catch all for figures they are too chicken shit to release at retail.
It’s a moot point. IF it funds it’ll barely do so. |

This is so overpriced... I know a handful of people are really hoping this funds and I want collectors to get what they want, but I'm afraid this specific Haslab will be the nail in the coffin for me. I will never willingly pay that kind of money for an accessory. If they included every version of GR with the car then maybe the price becomes a little more feasible, but as it stands (all tiers included) 3 figures and a cool car are not worth more than 15 figures (at the current retail price). |

I don't get it, it's a $350 made-to-order direct to ADULT collector item... why not just do the underboob? The Hellfire set was more revealing, hell they even made Tigra who is only in a bikini so if this is the only time they'll ever do this character why not make her accurate? Especially since this is meant to incentivize X-Men fans to back you'd think they'd want to make it as close as they can.
Hopefully Son of Satan isn't in this haslab, because if he doesn't have his pentagon people are going to be really upset. |

People should NOT be backing this HasLab. Hasbro is testing collectors to see how much they'll pay for something that is not even remotely worth what they're asking. If this HasLab is successful all bets will be off and prices will go through the fucking roof. |
I actually like the goblin queen without the under boob, I always felt it looked even more ridiculous than the black queens upper boob.

I'm also super annoyed by the fact that tons of people seem to be perfectly ok with Hasbro essentially holding fan-fav figures hostage behind an unrelated Haslab. And many have been parroting the corporate talking point of "oh we can never release these figures to retail". Then put them up for Pulse exclusive or fan channel. NO EXCUSES. If your excuse is "controversial" figures cannot be sold via online shops, then what's your excuse for selling them here in Haslab??? What's the difference? If Christian moms will line up to protest a Pulse exclusive, what's stopping them from protesting a Haslab? They think we're stupid. (some of us are apparently) |
The Masters of the Universe Eternia playset was just announced to be $550 plus $50 shipping. Plus I assume tax. I want that bad, but damn these companies are bleeding us dry.

But Thats worth the price. And I'm suprized its not more. Its massive. If it was Hasbro it would be $900 |

I was at Target and they were selling a WWE Elite 1/12 scale Truck for almostt 1/10th the cost of this car.
I just cannot understand why the biggest toy company needs to crowdfund anything. Not the sentinel, not galactus, not the Rancor....just makes no sense. I really cannot back HAsbro with any of these things. I am almost 100% Hot Toys at this point. Since HAsbro did their increases, and their quality really tailed off in 2020 or so...just not worth it. I NEVER feel cheated with Hot Toys, but yet a 20...I mean 30 dollar HAsbro figure, I feel cheated. |

The Rancor was part of the new Hasbro push for investors. They are demanding Hasbro be more greedy. With the New Star Wars and new Marvel failing, they are really pushing the costs over to their loyal fans. THe biggest Toy company doesn't need to crowdfund. It's just them draggin you over to coals. |

-"Fan-fave" is subjective but I assume you're referring to Goblin Queen (though an argument can be made for Mephisto). -I don't understand this "controversial" argument in regards to Goblin Queen. They released that Hellfire Club set with Jean and White Queen, which were much more provocative. This is a desperation tactic, plain and simple. If Mephisto didn't jumpstart you Blackheart sure as heck wasn't. -"They think we're stupid." Sorry bud, I don't see too much here to challenge that theory. You got people complaining about every single release yet still preordering them, people who clearly can't manage their money, people who refuse to use eBay because they think it's a scalper haven (even though you can get deals on tons of figures), I could go on. Anyone remember DC Universe Classics? Figures broke right out of the package, waves barely made it to shelves, and who could forget "No Monkey No Sale"? Yet somehow it managed twenty waves, a few sub-waves, and three years of a subscription. Why? Because collector's are stupid. |

In terms of crowdfunding, look, it's a good tool for small businesses, big business getting involved was inevitable. It's worked for them more often than not. Cookie Monster was a stupid campaign, Rancor was lazy, the lightsaber was beyond stupid, and this Ghost Rider is nowhere near as essential or popular as Galactus of the Sentinels. |
You know why Hasbro thinks everyone here is stupid? Because you're going around saying it's going to fail because of the price or because they're holding Madelyne Pryor and Mephisto "hostage".
Newsflash: This is failing because this character is nowhere near as popular as Galactus. Or the Razor Crest. Or the Sentinels. Or Unicron. Or a HISS Tank. HISS Tank funded in a matter of hours. The Sentinel funded in a day while God knows how many people were stuck at home unemployed. Those campaigns didn't hold characters "hostage"? Those weren't overpriced? This was a terrible choice for a project. Plain and simple. If this was Giant-Man the "Hasblo" crowd would be having a bout of FOMO right now. |
lol, not paying $350 because I want a Goblin Queen figure. Terrible thing to tie to this project. It's a sign they know this isn't that popular.

Fin Fang Foom should have been the HasLab.

But honestly, "If this HasLab succeeds they'll raise prices!"? Well sorry but they already are, and like it or not we're never going back to $20 figures loaded with paint and accessories in their shiny plastic window boxes. And this HasLab failing isn't going to change that one way or the other. |
