Well it finally happened...I went into a comic store for the first time in 10 years. I walked out with a plethora of X books. I'm not saying I'm hooked again...but I did enjoy Extermination. *sigh*
On the figure front...I finally got the ML Forge. I know he's rumored to be coming but I really wanted him to go in my blue/gold team display. |
Forge any good?

Snagged a complete Wrecker off EBay for a sweet price. I should have a complete Wrecking Crew by Friday.
I had an incredible haul today, I landed the entire Spider-Man wave while out of town. I’m not terribly impressed by the quality of this wave. I wish they would focus on the quality of one wave at a time instead of bombarding us with product. I’m just waiting on my Sauron wave preorder, and Surfer to hit retail. Motorbike Wolverine should be easy to find, and I think I’m going to use EBay to pick up some of the MCU figures I’m missing, Yellerjacket and Sif mainly. |

Quick shot of the wave. My Electra has a chunk of plastic on her right arm. Look out for that when hunting. https://i.imgur.com/D7QtJRi_d.jpg?ma...idelity=medium |

I also snagged Adam Warlock last week from my local comic shop. |
Honestly, Power Rangers is exactly the kind of line Hasbro was probably looking for.
They can cover entire teams with just a few generic base bucks and unlike Marvel Legends, people can't complain about them reusing parts. They already have experience with creating mecha that can both transform and combine. And the character designs are colorful and bold, with a popular license to help market and sell them. You can't get much better than that for Hasbro. |

On Odin, they did say at Comic-Con they plan to continue the First Ten Years line in some form (likely called something else), so we could see him there. As many as they hit with the 10 Year line, there are still some big ones they haven't gotten to to yet (Odin, Korg, Quicksilver, Peggy Carter and Whiplash, to name a few).

Just saw Ant-Man and the Wasp, and now I need an MCU Ghost figure, she was easily the highlight of the film and the suit design is gorgeous.

This line has great potential under hasbro. Plus you now have a very successful comic franchise, Japanese source material and so on. I am not sure if Hasbro has access to the Pre-Ranger stuff, but that stuff has potential as well. Imagine Hasbro using that stuff to create new story lines for the US audience. Hasbro knows their stuff. PLUS they WANT a shared universe of Rangers, Transformers and Joes. This was a bold move and Hasbro will push the Rangers as their #1 property as Rangers appeal to children, has high moral value, adults love it. It's essentially HAsbro's own Superheroes. They will be pushed just like Legends. I do wonder if Hasbro will tackle older Monsters from past seasons beyond MMPR. It interesting to see how they tackle the smaller monsters and when Rita makes them grow. What could those plans be if any? Maybe this is where they can use the same sculpts to create 6" and 12" scale figures and save costs...but who knows. |

Yeah that movie last year was incredibly underrated. It had so much heart to it. The core 5 were genuinely likable. And the Breakfast Club angle they did is honestly perfect for a Power Rangers movie.
Yeah the designs weren't that appealing but honestly that's probably my only real complaint about the movie. |
Power Rangers the way the Movie should have been.

Quick shot of the Apocalypse wave. I almost snapped Storm’s leg off trying to pose her. It looks like her right knee joint is seized up. |

Awesome haul! How’s the paint on your Multiple man if you don’t mind me asking. Particularly on his yellow chest paint. Because mine’s paint is all over the place. And I had 3 to look through.

Rock on dude. To fix storm boil some hot water and soak the joint. I’ve found that rather than moving the joint to loosen it that popping the joint pin out and removing the affected area then reassembling the peg poses less risk of breakage than moving the joint. Of course a lil hot water and a lil movement back n forth may be all that it needs. But if that dont work the above method may. Oh and i like the tb baf en sabbah looking over the boxes. Its like hes got this “ wtf is that midget clone doin’ there!” look. |

If you want to see how a dark and serious season of grown-ups wearing spandex fighting monsters is supposed to be, watch Gosei Sentai Dairanger. Or hell, watch some Kamen Rider series. If you want to see some non-Power Ranger fan's idiotic wet dream, watch that shitstain. Quote:

Thanks for the hot water tip. I’ve used that before when I was attempting to kitbash characters. Usually I can work a leg loose. I about snapped this one. I’ll be hunting a new Storm, when they hit discount later this year. ...and the Venom wave https://i.imgur.com/zD1RFx3_d.jpg?ma...idelity=medium |
