Some members of the Transformers PRIME Cast were announced early last month.

Is the treacherous Decepticon air commander the only character BLUM will be voicing? Who else will join the cast?

Update : billcosby and Karhukjnsi informed us that the Ticker reads "even more characters and maps".

TFW2005 Sound-Off! Recap - Which Past Transfo

Welcome back TFW2005.COM faithful! A week ago we asked you "What past Transformers series deserves more love?". Well, as expected you showed up and you voted your fingertips off in yet another fun-filled, opinion-spewing, fanboy-raging poll!

Thank you for participating! We received nearly 600 votes this time around! Let's get down to that special recap!

As you can probably tell by the title picture, nearly half of all users who participated voted ROBOTS IN DISGUISE as the series that needs more love (41.82%). There were various reasons, but the main ones seemed to be that it's the line that brought the casual fan back to Transformers, or that the toys took the Beast Wars engineering and applied them to realistic vehicle Transformers, or for the fact that the cartoon itself was fun and campy, never taking itself too seriously.

Member Chris McFeely stated, "Robots in Disguise, definitely. It's the consistently-overlooked "red-headed stepchild" of Transformers. I'm really happy to see Fun Publications giving it some love, with Sky-Byte in the BotCon set and Side Burn coming up next year."

Our second place winner goes to Beast Machines, the "hated by reputation" series that I doubt many newer Transformers fans have watched. 22.38% of you voted that it needs more love, with literally, I'm not even kidding, the common request being new, updated Maximal toys. Do you hear that Hasbro? A new Supreme Cheetor!

Member Draven made an amazing post for Beast Machines, one so amazing it can't fit in what space I have left on this post! So, go check out his post and be awed.

Rounding out the bottom three were, surprisingly, Alternators at 17.90%, the Armada Energon Cybertron trilogy at 12.05%, and last but not least, Machine Wars at 5.85%. Nearly every fan wanted to forget Energon altogether, but felt that the stories and mythos brought up from Armada and Cybertron could easily be fleshed out more. Alternators fans just want some sort of official North American storyline for the series. Half the Machine Wars votes were people who thought they saw Beast Wars and mis-voted. The other half were drunk. (NOTE: JOKE. END NOTE.)

So do you hear that Hasbro? We want more ROBOTS IN DISGUISE! In recent news for ROBOTS IN DISGUISE lovers, the show itself was originally owned by Saban Entertainment (creator of "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers") and was sold off, packaged in a deal as "Fox Kids" and "Fox Family" ("The Family Channel" became "Fox Family" became "ABC Family", which ABC is owned by Disney ... see the correlation?) to Disney back in 2002. Well, Saban has recently reformed and repurchased all of its old entertainment shows back from Disney, which includes ROBOTS IN DISGUISE.

Fingers crossed! Stay tuned for a future Sound-Off! which should get plenty of attention! Thanks again to everyone who participated.

The latest in a long string of Generation 1 "replica" knock offs is on the horizon, and it is the Technobot combiner, Computron! Not a lot is known about the knockoff set yet, other than a seller on iOffer promising that a new run of "reissues" aka knockoffs will be in stock soon. Since we've heard nothing of an official reissue - and let's face it, the Technobots would be waaaaaay down the list of priorities when it comes to reissues - it's fairly safe to assume that this will be another one of those replica knockoff gift sets, like Superion and Menasor.

Remember, these replicas are not officially licensed by Hasbro or Takara-Tomy, and are not tested to the same levels of quality or safety as a real release would be. As always, buyer beware when looking at a vintage piece, especially if the quality is just "too good to be true".

Transformers 3 Rumor – Who Wants To Be A Mill

Is the rumor coming true? That is the question. But I do issue a Spoiler Warning now, look away.

I’m sure you all remember the little Rosie, Sam and Bunny scene that was posted few days ago. Then you already know that Seymour Simmons was there too (with some guy carrying a briefcase). Those of you with careful eyes spotted another car with Sideswipe and the Ferrari 458 Italia. The presence of that car was not a coincident it seems, for reports are coming in regarding that particular car to be associated with Simmons himself. No, we can’t call it a Transformers (Not yet anyway). But interestingly enough that car is not just an ordinary car, it’s a Maybach 62S Landaulet says Albershide of Shoot For The Edit Forums. That car is a little expensive. I’ll put it this way… You can buy 24 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers/Bumblebee Edition cars for the price of 1 (just one) Maybach 62S Landaulet. So, back to the question… Is Simmons a Millionaire?

Few weeks back TheLastPrime of 2005 Movie Discussions stated that in Transformers 3 Seymour Simmons is a Millionaire by writing books (Who's betting it's Harry Potter or Twilight?). Anyway... Back to Simmons, If he’s riding a sweet Maybach 62S Landaulet (with a Chauffeur as well) surely this could mean something. His expensive looking attire adds a value to the rumor as well.

Hit the Discuss button to speculate this latest development. You’ll also find a Screenshot of a YouTube video with Simmons and the Maybach plus some images of a Maybach 62S Landaulet taken from various automobile websites.

Transformers 3 Filming Ends In Mid-October?

Originally posted by: NIBMRatchet @ TFW2005.com

Transformers 3 Producer Don Murphy over at his Message Boards stated that Transformers 3 filming is scheduled to end in 6 weeks time.

According to News 13...
“Production crews and film stars will soon transform Brevard County and the Kennedy Space Center into a Hollywood Studio. Director Michael Bay will begin shooting portions of "Transformers 3" on the Space Coast in mid-to-late September. The Space Coast Film Commission told News 13 production specialists may begin arriving as early as next week to begin preparations.”

As for the Washington D.C Filming...
"Kathy Hollinger, director of the D.C. Office of Motion Picture and Television Development, told POLITICO Thursday that the film is now set to begin shooting in town October 4th. The dates could change again, of course. But the crew has at least managed to nail down some filming locations, including the National Mall, near the monuments, outside the American Red Cross National Headquarters and outside DAR Constitution Hall, located just across from the Ellipse.
The National Park Service has made it difficult for Paramount Pictures to secure permission to film some scenes, including a race around the Mall. Hollinger said, however, that the studio is “still talking to the National Park Service to refine the requests to possibly get more flexibility.”"

Very early reports stated that, Transformers 3 filming might end on 1st of July, 2010.

Check out 18 new screen captures from the pack along with the official press release by reading on!
NEW TRANSFORMERS™: WAR FOR CYBERTRON

DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT PACK AVAILABLE NOW

Santa Monica, CA – September 7, 2010 – The battle for CYBERTRON continues as Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today that the Transformers™: War for Cybertron Map and Characters Pack 2 is available now for download on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. Based on Hasbro’s iconic TRANSFORMERS brand, the downloadable content pack will include two new, distinct playable TRANSFORMERS characters and five all-new maps for online multiplayer game modes.

The new playable TRANSFORMERS characters joining the roster will include ZETA PRIME and DEAD END. Players will have access to both characters in the game’s heart-pounding, four-player co-op Escalation mode, and will be able to select their chassis to create their own TRANSFORMERS character in the traditional competitive multiplayer modes.

In addition, five brand new multiplayer maps will extend the diverse array of battlefields on which players can wage war with their friends.

Two new Escalation mode maps include:
  • Pulse is an AUTOBOT map and allows players to take a journey inside the DECEPTICON giant TRYPTICON, challenging fans to explore his twisted interior corridors to overload the central power core located within.
  • Static is a DECEPTICON map that thrusts players into a bevy of multi-level rooms riddled with environmental traps that can be used for their advantage.

Three new competitive multiplayer maps include:
  • Horizon is a picturesque statuary overlooking the war-torn AUTOBOT home city of Iacon, complete with wide open courtyards and tight spaces for close quarters combat.
  • Sector is an old maintenance facility used by the DECEPTICONS during the legendary war and allows for open vehicle navigation, especially dive-bombing jets and those with long range weapons.
  • Metropolis is set high above the clouds and drops players straight into the bombed out ruins of a high rise Iacon city building. Liquid energon drips from broken pipes and sparking electricity crackles from severed wires as it was once served as a fierce central battleground on Cybertron.

The Transformers: War for Cybertron Map and Characters Pack 2 is currently available on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 800 Microsoft Points and in the PlayStation®Store for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system for $9.99.

Transformers: War for Cybertron is rated “T” (Teen – Violence) by the ESRB. For more information on the game, visit www.TransformersGame.com.

As we told you all few days back, Hasbro broadcasted the HUB Initiative Webcast just moments ago.

The TRANSFORMERS franchise sees the triumphant return of the AUTOBOTS characters to television in cutting edge computer-generated animation. The series both deepens the epic mythology of AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS, while starting fresh for a new generation of viewers and future TRANSFORMERS fans. With a bold and modern new look, OPTIMUS PRIME, BUMBLEBEE and others are back to roll out against MEGATRON’S latest plots to conquer Earth. The AUTOBOTS may be few against the DECEPTICONS menace, but they find increased strength here on their home away from home via bonds they've forged with three human teenagers. Make no mistake, the TRANSFORMERS series will deliver heavy metal action and nail-biting suspense -- but also promises to take human drama to levels as of yet unseen in the franchise.

Do you want to know what happened? Read on my friends…Read on…
