While it would likely lose some of the sculpted detail, and probably use the Carnage/Scream hands (which are a bit too small), the improved articulation and the chance at a more dynamic head sculpt more than make up for it. I also like the outfit she was wearing in the first story The Sisterhood appears in when they kidnap Psylocke, but don’t expect it. |

I would hope they would go old school on Lady D...the same costume of the toy biz figure. Love me some Alpha Flight and I hope for more figures soon. I second the TIGRA and Capt.Marvel figures. I'd also like a Starfox figure from that era. |
i don't really post a lot about WANTS and usually skip over "dream wave" ones
but being as though we get random characters sometimes....wouldn't it be cool to have the New Warriors figures too? |

Finally catching up on my waves and a few other things this week. Sp//der, Sauron, Apocalypse & Monster Venom waves all arrived plus a bunch of other stuff. A bit late to the game but I have to echo Brownfinger's comments, the new Spider-Man game is FUN. It has pretty much taken up my free time since Amazon delivered mine on Monday. I am actually looking forward to a Legends figure of the upgraded suit from the game.

If we get a new Deathstrike, I'd love if they went with her second coming look.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...istsStrike.jpg Speaking of X-Men, if anyone has the BAF parts that came with Sabretooth, Gladiator or Multiple Man and are looking to part with them, let me know. |

I'd prefer the classic look but I would be okay with the above look. I'd still eventually want the classic look. A Kelly Wu based figure wouldn't be bad either. And even the current look which is kind of combination of all three. The only one I'm not interested in is the Colombian version from "Muertas". #NotMyDeathstrike. |

I'm pretty sure the above pic is her most iconic look. Although doing a little research, I did see a few other designs that were pretty cool. Quote:

I always thought that was a clever bit of fan disservice, because yeah, she's got the plunging neckline all the way to Florida, but with all the cybernetics and with how slender (almost to the point of being gaunt) she was drawn, she didn't strike me as attractive, and was much more 'fatale' than 'femme', you get me? Like, the potential sexiness was overwritten by the fact that she was a cruel, soulless killer. Her later redesigns, though... I dig those. But her classic outfit and design here aren't appealing in that way. Figure, yes, but not titillation. |

Side note- speaking of updates, I think I should make a list of characters from the Toy Biz days and 1st run Hasbro era of characters that have been updated and ones we still need updates on. Project time! |

Anyway, love this! Also, I watched some of Iron Fist's second season. So I love Luke Cage (season one) and all of Jessica Jones, Defenders was just okay, and I had no interest at all in Iron Fist. But they've really drawn me in with this season, I'm enjoying the show and its story direction. Once in a while you get a hacky or cliche line that smarter writers would avoid, but otherwise... I'm into it. Alice Eve, the woman they have playing Mary, gives a next level performance. Of all the talent on display in these shows, her acting is like a pleasant slap to the face with a trout. So good, it bowls me over. |
I just recently finished Iron Fist over the past weekend, and I have to say that it's a HUGE improvement over the previous season. The ten episode format worked really well, as the show never really felt like it was dragging with filler, and the fallout and development of characters from the previous season was really well done. The fight scenes were much better this time around, but still no where near Daredevil's level.
Also...Alice Eve IS Typhoid Mary...her performance ranks among the Kingpin and the Vulture as among my favorite villains in the MCU (big screen or extended) thus far. The only thing I didn't like about it was the ret-conned origin (with her being ex-military with no mutant abilities) as well as the look (ANOTHER character in a hoodie...come on now!!!) but I'm sure we'll see the Mary we all know and love soon enough, as there were some really awesome teases by the end of it all. And since I finished Iron Fist...I guess it wouldn't be a bad time to mention some notes I've made over the SDCC Defenders set, which I picked up a little while back and am only getting around to talking about now. Since a bunch of you have already picked up Luke via the Walmart 2 pack, I'm gonna skip on that one and cover the rest. Jessica Jones: Let's get the easy one out of the way...this is a near exact re-release, with a slightly different shirt and bare arms. Not much else of note, though the face printing seems to be much more defined this time around. Hard to get excited for, but it is another female "blank" in civilian wear that's good for customs. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1842/...508d8e_k_d.jpg https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1878/...d6b9de_k_d.jpg Daredevil: Another near exact re-release of the original Netflix wave figure. The deco in hand is slightly brighter, though it's barely noticeable. The Matt Murdock head is a stellar addition, but it should have been included with the original release. It does work well on all of the suited body figures including the Chameleon and the recent Everett Ross figure. Outside that head portrait though, nothing to be excited for. Danny Rand: I know that a lot of people aren't gonna be happy with this figure, as it's essentially another suited body (although this one uses the Banner body as opposed to the Coulson one) but for what it's worth, it's the little details in it that make it a well executed kitbash. The head sculpt is actually really well done with a crisp print, that actually looks like Finn Jones from certain angles. The yellow Iron Fist hand is cool, and the hands can also be swapped out fairly easily. Nearly any set of hands from the original Hulkbuster wave Iron Fist (and many other figures) will work with it, allowing you to strike all the kung fu poses you'd like, and I really like the sneakers they threw on this body. Also, the head from the more recent Iron Fist figures will work on the suited body, however the Danny head on the Iron Fist body...not so much. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1896/...b06366_k_d.jpg Very cool figure though nevertheless, and I'm glad to have him to complete my Defenders team... Colleen Wing: Another excellent figure, and probably the centerpiece to the entire set. The new body sculpt is really well done, and Colleen is able to grip her sword fairly well thanks to the re-use of the Elektra sai hands. The headsculpt is nice, but that's about it...it kinda looks like the insanely lovely Jessica Henwick, but truthfully, I would have rather it have been done with her hair down as opposed to the ponytail...I feel that it might have better captured the portrait, though I might try and change that later on. The body sculpt again is really nice, but has some flaws, as the figure suffers from the same "big butt" syndrome that Blade had and has difficulty in standing up straight. The head also sits a bit high on the neck...I dremeled mine out a bit so it would fit a little lower. However, despite those gripes, body mold is good enough that it can pass for either MCU or comic related, and I FULLY expect to see this reused in the near future when Hasbro decides to give us a proper, comic based Colleen... https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1864/...f99829_k_d.jpg I should also mention that the box these guys came in was nothing short of incredible. So many awesome references to the Netflix series to be found here, from posters to Rand Industries to ads for Alias Investigations. The plastic portions that the figures sit in can be removed with care to allow the box to be used as a dio if you'd like, making the set that much sweeter despite the Hasbro double dipping. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1873/...d46a59_k_d.jpg |
