Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons Wave 2

2005 Boards sponsor Red leader of Kapow Toys has dropped by to let us know that the second wave of Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons Deluxe Class toys are now being sent out to retailers in the UK. This assortment consists of Tuner Skids, Hailstorm, Elita-1 and Sidearm Sideswipe. Also there is an amusing oddity - apparently some UK retailers are also being sent solid packed cases of single figures, in this case, Sidearm Sideswipe. So if you stop by a store and see pegs full of Sideswipe and nary a Hailstorm to be seen, that store might have got a solid packed case.

Sideswipe does not come with a new head as these images suggest though - the toy has been modified slightly by Kenji. These images also reveal Sideswipe's bio:

SIDESWIPE prides himself on being a good driver, but he's never met anyone with the instinctive feel for the road that MIKAELA BANES has. Her drivign is so smooth and perfect that he is left free to concentrate entirely on his blades and the target ahead.

Transformers Movie Masterpiece Bumblebee Gold

Sidecutter of our 2005 Boards has passed on to us some information from one of his suppliers regarding the upcoming Takara-Tomy Movie Masterpiece Bumblebee, being released domestically in the US as Battle Ops Bumblebee. As you may recall, this toy was originally seen at Cybertron Con in China sporting a gold paint job. He subsequently was seen at Chara Hobby in a more accurate yellow color scheme.

According to the information that Sidecutter has passed along, much like previous Masterpiece releases, Movie Masterpiece Bumblebee will have two releases - a version painted yellow to match the Movie character will be releases in Japan, while Hong Kong will get the less accurate but rather cool looking shiny gold finish version.

Naturally, you might want to wait for some more information to confirm this is what is happening, however given the past trend for their to be variant "Asia editions" for the Masterpiece series there seems to be no reason to doubt that this is why we have seen two different international releases for this toy.

Transformers 3 IS In 3D Says Michael Bay

Originally posted by: NIBMRatchet @ TFW2005.com

There are some articles circulating around the internet saying “Transformers 3 is NOT Being Shot in 3D”.

In response to that, Transformers 3 Director Michael Bay commented at his Official Forum…

"Who is this moron posting about what I'm shooting with??? People have no idea how hard we have worked to bring 3D filming into live action shooting. We have invented rigs and systems to place 3d cameras like no other live action movie has done before. The proof will be noticed on the final product.

Michael”

And thus the final clarification of Transformers 3 in 3D.

The Image on this news post is a "Sony Pace 3D" camera. This was taken from the Chicago set of Transformers 3 by Nelson Lauren.

Transformers 3 Detroit Filming Details - Set

Originally posted by: NIBMRatchet @ TFW2005.com

Quite a lot of details are pouring in from Detroit regarding Transformers 3 Filming.

First of all, Actors Tyrese Gibson and Lester Speight (Epps and Hardcore Eddie respectively) updated their Twitter Accounts saying that they have arrived there safely and now working hard for Transformers 3.
Tyrese Gibson did more than that though, he posted an image of what’s filming right now. Apparently he’s inside a car with shattered front windows (Click on the Title Bar to see).

More news came from Members of Shoot For The Edit Forums where they said…
“All she was told was that the scenes were from the '60s and she would be fitted into clothing from that era.”

To confirm that matter, Washington Examiner has an article saying…
“The Walter E. Washington Convention Center will be used for some of the filming, a source tell us, and a number of scenes will be filmed around the National Mall and monument areas. DAR Constitution Hall and the Red Cross building also will have cameos.
"Both of those locations are used to double as the White House," explained Josh Friedman, communications director of D.C.'s Office of Motion Picture and Television Development. The Red Cross building generally is used for exterior "White House" shots, while DAR Constitution Hall is used for its interior.”

This brings us to a memory... The Rumored Transformers 3 Opening Scene.

Now, Thanks to TFW2005 Board Member ARIQ and TFLAM Blog we have a gallery of Images showing Optimus Prime, 4 Decepticon Suburbans and here’s the interesting bit… Remember the Giant Jet Engine News few days back? A fan who was there at the set had told TFLAMB…
“Well, the set has changed slightly; now the large black weapon/jet/whatever is situated under the train section in the plant (hard to tell in the pic due to the angle, but one of the "engine" sections can be seen in the right edge of the first photo, just over the top of the fence/pallets). I saw them putting it in place with a crane yesterday. The black GM "government" SUVs are here; one can be seen just beyond Prime's trailer in the second pic. Most importantly, Michael Bay is here! I got a chance to meet him while he and some crew were walking the perimeter of the set, blocking/framing some shots. He was really cool and stopped to take a picture with me.”

Remember there is no confirmation about this Train+Jet “thingy” other than that report. But you guys are free to Speculate.

Images from the Detroit Set of Transformers 3 is overloading the internet. Can’t even figure out where to start.

Again Actor Tyrese Gibson updated his Twitter Page with an image. This time it’s him with his Stunt Double wearing the new NEST Uniform we saw a while back.

Speaking of “a while back”… exactly two months ago we brought you a news of the Autobots in storage prior to being used on screen. There was also an update showing a Black and Orange car. Now however, thanks to Shadow of S4TE we have a close-up of the said car. That particular car is a Chevrolet Impala (Yep, the same Make & Model as the NASCAR Wreckers) The Black and Orange car was previously seen on the Gary, Indiana Set of TF3. The same album got some photos of a Chevrolet Chevelle SS. It’s too sweet of be blown to bits by an explosion. Checkout the album here.

Unicron.Com recently took a visit to the set of Transformers 3. As TFW2005 Board Member ARIQ told us, Optimus Prime, The NASCAR Wreckers, Ferrari 458 Italia and Ratchet are all there. You can enjoy that album here.

Shadesalpha of TFW2005 also shared some Images with us. Click on the Title Bar to see them.

You can take the following information with a grain of salt or jump with joy, either way here are some Rumors and possible Spoilers surrounding the Detroit Transformers 3 Filming.

First of all, we’ll start things slowly… Remember the Wired Weird Object we saw few days back?
Now, thanks to TFLAM Blog we now know what it was used for. Click on the Title to see some images of that particular object being lowered to a car and in the process, crushing the vehicle. We can now narrow the guessing to it being either a piece of falling building debris or a robot’s foot stepping on the vehicle.

Next-up… Remember the Giant Jet Engine we saw few weeks back?
Thanks to TFW2005’s ARIQ, S4TE’s Albershide and Don Murphy Message Boards sigma1 we have a lot of information and rumors. According to ARIQ, "Shia was jumping from the ship to a building". And now according to sigma1 (a member of Don Murphy's forum and a TF3 extra in Detroit),"The shoot involving the train derailed is called "Mayor's Mile" and is a continuation of the Chicago sequence. The scene itself will take place in Chicago within the movie. It involves the intro of a main antagonist, (which is the large construct with 2 turbines in the rear photographed earlier when Detroit production arrived). I won't reveal just yet who it is, but he will then transform and reveal himself to be orchestrating much of the chaos on Earth, most Autobots arrive (Bumblebee, Ratchet, Sideswipe, Wheeljack, and the Ferrari) to battle him. Prime, Ironhide, and Josh Duhamel are involved in another sub-plot that will be revealed later."

Finally, Have you noticed a certain name on sigma1’s comment?

The prototype shown below is a resin test casting, to test fitting, and figure out issues when we make the final molds. Stay tuned for news in the coming weeks on this and other projects we are working on.
