My fig room is now MCU certified. I finally decided to put the DC Multiverse in storage until they can figure out what is going on in that film universe. Shame, because that Batmobile is honestly one of my favorite pieces ever. My Tony Stark/Mark 1 Iron Man set arrived this week, but I haven't added it because I'm playing around with it a bit, and it looks like Amazon has charged my account so my Iron Man 3 set will be here Tuesday.

Since I swore off comic figures this summer(hurts like a son of a gun)I'm anxious to see what I spend on figures in 2019. Normally once New York Toy Fair comes I have a general idea, but since I'm strictly MCU now I wonder how much I'll save...unless they go all out. Oh my goodness, what if they do??? Who am I kidding, it won't matter. LOL.

Holy hell! Amazing Mcu display man! The MCU is a thing of beauty but I’ve done something similar(not the display wise that’s unmarked haha) I’m basically only buying MCU figures and on occasions Spidey Villains. Because if I collected Mcu and comic figures I’d be eating Ramen noodles for the rest of my life haha. I hope which is highly unlikely that they continue the MCU only line too. Just rename it Marvel studio series

I would assume being a comic only collector is more expensive because there are more comic figures produced.

Does anyone know the results of that Marvel Legends poll that Hasbro had? It seemed like the questions were focused on either giving us less and keeping the price around $20 or a price increase with little to no improvement in quality or number of accessories.

My bad. I just assumed you would have watched the X-Men cartoon from the 90s being an X-Men buyer.

It's no problem. I still want to see that cartoon...whoever owns it, get on DVDs or Blu-Rays!

My buying of X Men comes from enjoying the films...but not really liking the aesthetics.

Much respect, my friend.

Thank you very much! MCU is where my heart is, and I want my display to reflect that. I have sold off some duplicates for the sake of space and the story I'm telling with the way they're set up. Before I sold my comic figures, my family and I were in the midst of setting up a huge diorama. After seeing the diorama from SDCC this year for the MCU, it was like a lightbulb went off in my head saying "you can do the same thing with these". LOL.

And I know nothing in life is guaranteed, but like you and I keep talking about, I am anticipating The Fantastic 4, X-Men, Inhumans(give it a few years to wipe out the stank from last year), and The Eternals(can you believe that?) to join the MCU. Since I was a child I've envisioned all the characters together on the big screen in the same universe, and my God we are so close. Patience is my greatest strength, and I really hope it pays off in the form of good to great films, and good to great figures.

What are you using to keep everyone standing? I can get a good setup for a few minutes until gravity dominoes everything.

I blame all the Spidey waves... so glad I am not a Spidey fan in particular. But all those overpriced 10th anniversary stuff kinda even things out IMO. And maybe I should have said which one (comic or mcu) had the most "must have in their collection" figs.

Funny enough, the only figure that has trouble standing is the Mark V Iron Man. I finally decided to lean him against the Mark 4. Everyone else seems to stand on their own.

I know man! I can’t believe the eternals haha. I knew it would be a matter of time for Inhumans and Fantastic four. But never imagined X-men and enternals all to be within the same universe. I can not wait for figures of them haha. That M’Baku i need now. Also can’t wait to see what Shuri looks like. Kevin Feige is gonna over see the X-men Mcu films so I know for a fact they’re gonna be excellent. The Greatest thing Hasbro has brought to the table are these face printing technology they use on the figs. Because man they make a huge difference. Some of the Likeness look better than Figuarts or Hot Toys haha

It's crazy how good the "Photo Real" tech looks on these figures. In my opinion it has taken Marvel Legends to the next level, especially for folks like me who aren't interested in imported figures.

Side note, when the X-Men come home to the MCU I really hope they put Wolverine in his brown costume. I would not be upset at all if he is in the blue and yellow, but the brown would really pop on screen. I like to watch that deleted scene with the brown costume in The Wolverine just to get an idea about how it would look.

DarthKamen 09-23-2018 04:48 PM

Yeah the photo real is great. I still love my Star Lord figures because of the great likeness.

Though I'd prefer the yellow and blue myself.

does anyone know if they ever made a matt murdock (regular clothes) figure with his cane?

DarthKamen 09-23-2018 06:23 PM

Anyone have a Walmart Thanos for sale?

I think the closest you’re gonna get is the unmasked head from the Walgreens one. Otherwise, no.

I put some lightning up on my shelves, and started trying to get my collection organized. I currently have a shelf devoted to the MCU, Hydra, X-Men, Ironman, Spider-verse, Asgard, X-Force, and random comic based figures and BAFs. I’m thinking about putting in some corner shelving to set up my “12 figures sometime soon. I also want to find a Thor Ragnarok movie poster for the other side of the TV.

Yah. You can try that head on a suited body like coulson or chameleon.

That line always pissed me off in the original movie. I want to just fly into the movie and scream "YES!" at Cyclops.

redfox 09-23-2018 09:42 PM

With the Spider-Geddon event beginning, looks like it was a slick move on Hasbro's part releasing all of the Spider-verse figures when they did. From just the initial poster alone, the only character missing an action figure is Mary Jane's Spinneret.

Yes, I also included the Tsum Tsum Spider-man, who has a plastic figure made by Jakks Pacific. Looks like he's canon.:p
