I really hope I don't have a hard time tracking Thing down. None of the Walgreens exclusives have been hard to find for me lately but you never know when that can turn around.

Augustus_Cole 09-27-2018 01:54 AM

You and me both. I also hope the concept art for Iron Man and Captain America in Avengers 4 turn out to be true. Very simple, classic designs.

Same man, Iron man 2 war machine is still my favorite design for him. I think civil war is a close second though. Awesome Fantastic four comparison pics btw. That new Thing is amazing looks like he jumped straight out of the pages

Oh, damn... I remember keeping track of one at a local Walmart... think it was down to $80 when I last saw it. I told myself if it ever drops to 50 or below I'm getting it, but then it was gone one day, so I guess someone bought it. I wanted it for my MU, but from looking at your pic it looks like it works better with Legends. Great setup!

They were priced on the shelf as $50 so I passed, then checked brickseek the next day and it said they were $15! I went back the next day and only one was left. I checked the price and sure enough they were ringing up $15. I wish would have scanned them the day before because I probably would have bought 3!

Since Hasbro is almost definitely making an A4 Iron-Man, it's a pretty serviceable way of getting a classic-ish Iron-Man, albeit under the filter of the MCU.

Still want them to do an actual classic Iron-Man though.

Panther 09-27-2018 08:34 AM

Just watched the Dark Phoenix trailer, and it is indeed time to end this franchise. I stand by X-Men, X-2, First Class, The Wolverine, Days of Future Past, and Logan all being good to great films, but not good "X-Men" films. It's time for Marvel Studios to give us proper X-Men Films. I swear when I was watching the trailer I kept thinking "why don't they get Jean Grey is not a powerful mutant who can't control the Phoenix, but a mutant who the Phoenix Force is absolutely obsessed with?" It's not about Charles taming her, that takes us right back to Last Stand...and come to think about it Simon Kinberg wrote that film and is directing this film in, get this, his first directorial debut.

Yes to classics Iron Man (and Silver Centurion too)! I really wonder, if Cap and Iron Man retire/die/are forced out of action/eaten by the Sarlacc Pit, which character will constantly be thrown in Avengers movie waves with a slight change in paint?

This is why I ordered the Mezco One:12 Ironman. In desperate to get a good classic IM on the shelf and so far it's the only thing that comes close

Nice finds. Civil Warrior is just Captain America in a fancy suit that incorporates Iron Man's technology, so it's an alternate reality version of Steve from the Contest of Champions game.

Civil Warrior is a character from the Contest of Champions mobile game. Apparently an alternate universe Steve Rodgers where Cap lived and Tony died during Civil War, so Cap used Iron Man tech , out of guilt, to build a new Cap-Iron Man hybrid suit.

EDIT: HAHAHA Sabah must type faster than me !!

Phantomcrow 09-27-2018 10:54 AM

Anyone got the link to The Thing walgreens page, I can't find it in their search.

IRONTUCK3000 09-27-2018 12:09 PM

Thanks guys for info on civil warrior. Figured it had something to do with cap or bucky. Looks bad ass hope we get a six inch

They may as well have given this franchise to uwe boll so it least it would have some terrible comedy lines and gratutious nudity.

Speaking of Contest of Champions, a lot of the characters and their costumes used turn out to be Marvel Legends or vice versa. Here’s hoping that this version of Emma Frost gets released.

tierneygreen 09-27-2018 03:14 PM

Found Thing today in store. This is now my favorite ML fig. He just looks awesome. This is 1:12 scale plastic perfection. And, I now have one complete team in my collection!

I also got shipping notices for Archangel and DS Beast. So, come next week I'll also have a complete set of original X-Men...of sorts. Giggity!!

Did the same, Bo Ttef! The Mezco One: 12 looks amazing, pre order the stealth IM also. Trying to create the best Hall of Armor and these two figures definitely represent.
