Gah, I'd love a Sentinel but not at $100. Maybe if it hits $50.
|
I still remember... it was November either 2011 or 2012, the classic variant of the MU Sentinels showed up at ROSS for $28 each. I debated so long in the store whether to pick the two I saw on the shelf up or not. I didn't, and surprisingly I don't regret it. And now here they are again for Legends of all things and at regular price again.

Finally watched the trailer to X3 The Last Sta... I mean Dark Phoenix. You know what I noticed a distinct lack of? COSTUMES!!!! Why the hell is Jean in plain clothes the entire trailer? Where the hell is her costume?
At least Jennifer Lawrence looks like Mystique again. Though it wouldn't surprise me if that are the only scenes with the make-up on. Lastly, why did they bother doing a 10 year time jump if the actors don't even look close to how they look in the first X-Men movie? None of the characters look like they have aged anywhere from 10-30 years. Oh, and how many times are we going to play this Magneto sides game? |
Found the Civil War Cap and Crossbones 2-pack on clearance at my work tonight for $34 and couldn't pass it up. I now have a definitive version of Cap and Iron Man, and am beginning the slow process of replacing all my Avengers figures with ones that are up to snuff with today's standards.

Hey if anyone comes across a Mysterio they don’t need keep me in mind. Never saw that damn figure in my town haha

I don't know if it's been said yet, but it seems Target is already starting to put the 10th anniversary line on clearance. I picked up the single carded Iron Man for $17 the other night. I didn't check anything else, but I was interested to see that. He fits well as a comic Iron Man too.

Funny thing is all i ever saw at target was iron man and crossbones set. And every target i went to was wiped out of all the mcu stuff. All i wanted was 2 lousy ironman figs. :( |

I'm sick of Mystique, and I'm seriously sick of Magneto being in these films as well. I actually think that one of the reasons that the X-films have not been able to step up to the next level has been due to the insistence on keeping Magneto (as well as Mystique) central to the plots. Magneto always starts off being a voice of reason, delivers a couple of lines here or there, and then comes the big swerve as he tries to **** over Charles. It was fantastic when it happened in X-2, but let's be real, that movie came out 15 YEARS AGO and they've been doing it in every film since. It's tiring. He's also the youngest looking teenage Holocaust survivor I've ever seen...considering the movie is supposed to take place in the nineties. Even if this movie takes place in the beginning of that decade, he'd still be pushing his late 60's, early 70's. Sure doesn't look like it. I wonder what his secret to youth is. Hopefully, by the end of the film, we finally meet the younger sister to Quicksilver we were intro'd to briefly in DoFP, now grown into her teen years, who puts a nice little endcap to it all by whispering at the film's climax or credit scene..."No More Mutants." Only will be a matter of time before Red Skull hits clearance. He's really peg warming hard at my local brick and mortars. Surprising because army builders do sell (although I've been noticing that Black Series army builders have also been struggling somewhat in my local stores.) My guess is that either everyone is customizing their own Hydra troops at a cheaper price (like I did) or there just isn't a market for a what is essentially a Nazi action figure. I think part of the reason that these Studios 10th sets are peg/shelf warming (outside of the obvious Hasbro double dipping) is that many of them were available quite a while back at various etailers, so most serious collectors were able to get theirs before their releases months later. Releasing a large majority of them in two or three packs also didn't help their case, as many of us (myself included) were only interested in certain characters and simply are or were not willing to drop the extra monies for figures many of us already owned, most of which were "barely there" improvements over the originals. |
Once those red skulls start being clearanced Ima buy as many as I can find haha. You can never have enough Hydra Soldiers

Seems like once a month there’s a lengthy “argument” that continues for pages involving topics like that....

Though, if I see the Ross pack on clearance for a good price, I might pick it up to have another generic business suit guy. Quote:
