Gah, I'd love a Sentinel but not at $100. Maybe if it hits $50.

MeLikeJinx 09-29-2018 05:52 PM

I still remember... it was November either 2011 or 2012, the classic variant of the MU Sentinels showed up at ROSS for $28 each. I debated so long in the store whether to pick the two I saw on the shelf up or not. I didn't, and surprisingly I don't regret it. And now here they are again for Legends of all things and at regular price again.

I've wanted this for a minute..seems like the longer I wait..the more it goes up in price.

I picked him up Years ago at some store dont remember. I only got him because he looked so dame kool being white and black. Little did I know he was hard to get.

Heavy solid figure of one of my favorite characters! Now for MAGIK!!

Congrats Bro. Hes a Winner.

Finally watched the trailer to X3 The Last Sta... I mean Dark Phoenix. You know what I noticed a distinct lack of? COSTUMES!!!! Why the hell is Jean in plain clothes the entire trailer? Where the hell is her costume?

At least Jennifer Lawrence looks like Mystique again. Though it wouldn't surprise me if that are the only scenes with the make-up on.

Lastly, why did they bother doing a 10 year time jump if the actors don't even look close to how they look in the first X-Men movie? None of the characters look like they have aged anywhere from 10-30 years. Oh, and how many times are we going to play this Magneto sides game?

Weapon X 09-29-2018 09:33 PM

Found the Civil War Cap and Crossbones 2-pack on clearance at my work tonight for $34 and couldn't pass it up. I now have a definitive version of Cap and Iron Man, and am beginning the slow process of replacing all my Avengers figures with ones that are up to snuff with today's standards.

Super Joe 09-29-2018 10:12 PM

Anyone still looking for Black Knight? I got one (no BaF). Pm me your BST lists for any potential trades.

jmurray90720 09-29-2018 10:36 PM

If anyone finds Magik I’m interested in buying her for $30 shipped loose/complete. PM Me.

I’m suprised no one has mentioned it when talking about this trailer but Magneto is wearing a black version of his First Class helmet. You get a pretty good look at it near the end of the trailer.

Tim 09-30-2018 05:31 AM

Hey if anyone comes across a Mysterio they don’t need keep me in mind. Never saw that damn figure in my town haha

Spyne98 09-30-2018 05:52 AM

I don't know if it's been said yet, but it seems Target is already starting to put the 10th anniversary line on clearance. I picked up the single carded Iron Man for $17 the other night. I didn't check anything else, but I was interested to see that. He fits well as a comic Iron Man too.

Wow that was fast. I'd be interested in Ronan if they put him on clearance. Or Red Skull, but that's probably it.

And i bet hasbro says “ well we wanted to do more movie stuff but no one bought em so no more. “

Funny thing is all i ever saw at target was iron man and crossbones set. And every target i went to was wiped out of all the mcu stuff. All i wanted was 2 lousy ironman figs. :(

The new trailer did nothing for me as well. I usually enjoy the X-Men films for the most part for what they are, but a lot of the points you hit on were the exact same criticisms as my own. It seriously looks like X-3 all over again, minus Wolverine and Vinnie Jones in his penis shaped helmet.

I'm sick of Mystique, and I'm seriously sick of Magneto being in these films as well. I actually think that one of the reasons that the X-films have not been able to step up to the next level has been due to the insistence on keeping Magneto (as well as Mystique) central to the plots. Magneto always starts off being a voice of reason, delivers a couple of lines here or there, and then comes the big swerve as he tries to **** over Charles. It was fantastic when it happened in X-2, but let's be real, that movie came out 15 YEARS AGO and they've been doing it in every film since. It's tiring.

He's also the youngest looking teenage Holocaust survivor I've ever seen...considering the movie is supposed to take place in the nineties. Even if this movie takes place in the beginning of that decade, he'd still be pushing his late 60's, early 70's. Sure doesn't look like it. I wonder what his secret to youth is.

Hopefully, by the end of the film, we finally meet the younger sister to Quicksilver we were intro'd to briefly in DoFP, now grown into her teen years, who puts a nice little endcap to it all by whispering at the film's climax or credit scene..."No More Mutants."

The only set that sold out at any of my Targets was the Thanos/Strange/Iron Man three pack. Otherwise I can walk into just about any of them and find which set I'm looking for, outside of maybe the Yellow Jacket one.

Only will be a matter of time before Red Skull hits clearance. He's really peg warming hard at my local brick and mortars. Surprising because army builders do sell (although I've been noticing that Black Series army builders have also been struggling somewhat in my local stores.) My guess is that either everyone is customizing their own Hydra troops at a cheaper price (like I did) or there just isn't a market for a what is essentially a Nazi action figure.

I think part of the reason that these Studios 10th sets are peg/shelf warming (outside of the obvious Hasbro double dipping) is that many of them were available quite a while back at various etailers, so most serious collectors were able to get theirs before their releases months later. Releasing a large majority of them in two or three packs also didn't help their case, as many of us (myself included) were only interested in certain characters and simply are or were not willing to drop the extra monies for figures many of us already owned, most of which were "barely there" improvements over the originals.

Once those red skulls start being clearanced Ima buy as many as I can find haha. You can never have enough Hydra Soldiers

I just found a Reed at Walgreens, all this anxiety about Thing and I’m still months behind. There’s still like 6 Kamsla Khans at my Walgreens too, and no one else from that wave. 6 cases came through and they left Kampala every time. I really wish Marvel would give up on that character.

If Toyark had upvotes, I would upvote that. Thank you, sir! I feel strongly that Kamala Khan is really annoying. And, even worse, she’s just token. It’s Marvel trying to shoehorn in diversity, which is frustrating. Her whole character just feels like pandering.

Seems like once a month there’s a lengthy “argument” that continues for pages involving topics like that....

Let's see if it at least stays civilized this time. I think we all remember the last gentlemen who was banned for his extreme views.

My Target has had the Hulkbuster pack, the Ross/Killmonger one, the Cap/Crossbones pack, the WInter Soldier/Falcon pack, and Iron Man collecting dust for like two month's now. They should have kept the Stan Lee BAF in those packs as that was their selling point. Th

Though, if I see the Ross pack on clearance for a good price, I might pick it up to have another generic business suit guy.

I honestly don't get the hate for her. She's being written like the modern day Spider-Man. A teenager that has to balance day to day life, being a Muslim, and a super hero all at the same time. There's nothing wrong with that. She's not harming anyone and she's by far one of their better characters that have come out in the last decade.

I've seen the Mark VII Iron Man and the Hulk v Hulkbuster set at 30% reduction in my local targets. Also the 12" Black Panther and that horrible technicolor Deadpool 3 1/2" 5 pack. They might also have the Cap vs Crossbones set. I don't think Target ever got Ronan. I think he was Gamestop/Thinkgeek.
