No problem. You started back at the best and worst time haha! You just started down a black hole. There are so many waves a year it’s crazy. I suggest prepare your wallet.....The movie figures are actually amazing now. This new face printing stuff is a thing of beauty.
But if you need help or are looking for anything particular just hit me up I’ll keep an eye out for ya.

That was pretty much my plan, even before I realized I was gonna need two of him. I really hate to do it that way, but man that wave is a stinker. At least for me.

In a way it could be worse. There could be just one figure I want in the set, plus the BAF (I'm looking at you, Lizard wave).

For some reason, I can not remember everyone included in that wave.

Carnage Goblin Thingy
Armored Symbiote Spidey
Silver Sable
Black Cat with those weird eyes on her suit
BAF - Kingpin

Who are the other 2-3 figures? Was one of them Iron Spider-Man from Infinity War?

Nightthrasher was the 5th, with two more yet to be revealed.

Wait, he's a Spider-Man figure? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, but then again, they did do Gwenpool in a Spider-Man wave.

Anyway, I guess that explains why I can't remember the other figures, they haven't been announced yet. The only thing that can really save this wave is if Hasbro reveals a classic Vulture in it. If that happens, then I will no doubt preorder the whole thing. If not, then that idea of buying Kingpin on his own doesn't sound so bad.

xjuza 10-07-2018 05:52 PM

idk i think it makes sense since he is in the new warriors and kaine was also members and even MVP (which were 3 iron spider men , and ricochet which parker did use that suit before, so dont think its that far of a strech to put night thrasher in a spiderman wave.

There has to be something else in that wave....don't get me wrong I like Silver Sable and I like Night Thrasher but neither of those two feel like particularly strong anchors for the rest of the wave. I'm expecting another classic Spidey foe like Doc Ock or Mysterio.

I can totally see Hasbro doing Vulture without a BAF piece just because they know Kingpin is gonna sell the rest of the wave.

Itd be nice to see a freakin julia carpenter spiderwoman.

I forgot how awesome this figure was, gorilla arms and all.

Makes me wish that Hasbro would create a celebratory line saluting all things Marvel on the big screen PRE-MCU. I'd love to see updated versions of Blade, any character from X-2, Ferrigno or Norton's Hulk...hell...even a Lundgren Punisher. And of course this guy. That would be a movie based line that would truly get me excited.

I'm fond of Dafoe's Green Goblin so I'd be down for that. Norton's Hulk is MCU though, granted he was replaced with Ruffalo.

DarthKamen 10-07-2018 08:08 PM

I still love the SM3 Venom design so I'd love an updated figure. I actually love all the Raimi designs so...all of them please.

Hah... I forgot that Hulk movie was a part of the MCU...

Toy Biz's Goblin is still amazing in my eyes...and that line's Spidey is still my favorite movie Spidey to date.

I hated the Venom look initially for that film, but it grew on me in a big way...especially if you've ever seen the original solid black latex design they had. Sure...it was comic accurate, but it did make the actor look like he wandered off the set of a fetish film, so I understood the reason for the change. I ended up liking the final result though very much.

I'd love to see a re-do of Sandman. Both of the Legends figures they released when Spidey 3 came out were atrocious.

While nobody liked New Goblin, I didn't hate him. I loved Harry's super dickery, and I'm glad they didn't just throw him into his dad's suit and call him Hobgoblin. The Legends figure wasn't that bad either..with the exception of the sky stick, which was poorly painted and with the wrong colors no less. It hasn't held up unfortunately, and it's one I'd actually like to see redone. Pipe dream...I know...but still.

Imagine a redone Jessica Alba Sue Storm or a Lady Deathstrike with Hasbro's face printing tech?

This 100%.
a updated line of these would be epic like kamen. I'm a big fan of sam raimi's designs. id love to have a Dafoe Goblin, Tobey spidey, and even Dr Ock. @triv thatd probably be my biggest want. i thought sandman was actually great. the actor was a great choice. he definitely needs a good figure of him

I think Marvel wants us to forget too, except for Ross the Incredible Hulk has had no carry-over into the MCU. No Betty, no Abomination, heck even no Doc Samson.

Got in the mood to take some B&W shots of Spidey Noir and Morbius (and one in color):

Ever since Tom Holland posted a video showing a stunt man getting hit with water, people have been speculating that Hydro Man will be in Far From Home. If he has a small role in the movie, then Hasbro might give a comic book version of HM.

Also, I meant to respond to one of your posts the other day about the villain selection in the Spidey waves but it was getting late so I didn't respond. Over the past few years, we've actually gotten a lot of the big names from Spiderman's rogues gallery, especially the ones created by Stan Lee. Out of all of the iconic villains Stan created, Scorpion and a regular Vulture are the only two we don't have. Since Vulture had two figures last year (Ultimate and MCU), Scorpion seems like a reasonable choice for this year in either the Kingpin wave or a second Spiderman wave.

While I prefer the MCU Spiderman these days, I am a bit nostalgic for the Raimi movies and it would be nice to get a new Tobey Maguire Spiderman with modern articulation and interchangeable hands. They could do some great two packs for those movies.
  • Spiderman and MJ
  • Battle Damaged Spiderman and Green Goblin
  • Dock Ock and Aunt May
  • Peter and J. Jonah Jameson

I like the black & white shots of Morbius. Makes me want a re-done Marvel Monsters set.

Tomb of Dracula, Werewolf by Night, Frankenstein’s Monster, and Simon Garth the Zombie.

Yeah I guess you're right and there's only a few major Spider-Man villains that we still have left. My concern is moreso how long it's going to take for us to get the rest of them but that could just be the impatient collector in my speaking.

There's still two Spider-Man costumes I want them to get to as well (well, besides a classic Spidey with a John Romita Sr. head). I still want a new Iron Spider and I doubt anybody here is as crazy about this one as I am, but I'd LOVE to see Supaidaman lol
