These Obitsu stands are like crack! I bought a 5 pack to try them out and figured I'd use some for this or that, but ML's took them all, bought another 5 pack, and used all but 1 right away.
Figuring out how to construct the stand for Surfer took a bunch of tries, but I ended up with a configuration that's probably so solid the stand will tip before any force could knock Surfer off it. |
how'd you get two coming out of the bottom on the Surfer one..??
you just fit two in there and they actually FIT wit the screw?? |

The long piece under the board supports that while the clip keeps Surfer from moving. I had hoped and tried to complete the triangle, but it's just not possible in any way that I could figure that didn't require a ton of work and parts while this was very solid to my surprise. As a side note, I did fix the pose and the level-ness of the board after I put the figure back in the home office display, so the board is a bit more level and Surfer's back leg is a bit more natural. In trying various configurations and seeing how stable it was, Surfer fell off a few times and I didn't fix that before I took the pictures. There are a ton of pictures of various configurations for the stands on the Amazon listing, even showing a configuration that can hold up a gatorade like bottle. That's the first one I tried, but couldn't come up with a way to hold the board securely and eventually went to just the long piece under the board and was surprised at how well that worked. |

I just got SP//dr wave Daredevil, Elektra, Cloak, and Dagger from Amazon, and while I'm liking all of them, I'm really annoyed with Daredevil because of what's seemingly a consistent thing with the Bucky Cap body now: stuck shoulders. Seemingly every other time I get a figure on the Bucky Cap body made in the past year its shoulders are stuck from hinging outward, and need oil loosening in order to move without snapping the arm off at the bicep. Monster Venom wave Carnage seems to be exempt from this due to seemingly having slightly updated shoulders for the Bucky Cap body, which I hope they give to other Bucky Cap-based figures from here on out.

Ok, managed to un-stuck DD's shoulders. Now I'm actually satisfied with him. Annoyed that I had to shove shock oil down into the shoulder joints, but satisfied overall.

What’s the cheapest option for 6” scale figures in suits from this or any other toyline to use as henchmen?
