I'm still kicking myself for not buying those 3 Cobra Troopers I saw last month. No, I had to be saving my money for some god damn Sentinels. I think I'm just going to jump off a bridge now.

Took some pictures while playing around with settings on my camera and I'm not sure why some pictures came out darker than others despite having lamps. I'm trying to get my pictures to come our clearer, especially in group shots, but all it seems like I'm doing is making them look like they have less light.

Who knows. Hopefully we'll get an official announcement tomorrow. Though, if they do, they probably made some changes.

Hasbro's MO has always been "make it different enough so you'd buy it again", that's how they recoup the cost of casting the molds. This Target Exclusive Trooper does come with a good amount of accessories, so I'm willing to bet the general release trooper will have less accessories, and most likely different colors. This one will be different than others, for me, he'd be the Squad Leader.

I have to agree with all your assessment so far of the new Joes and Cobra figures. I'm totally digging them. A lot of people has problem with the update/upgrade, they just wanted the same old 3 3/4" figures except bigger. To each their own, but I'm totally cool with the updated look. I think that's why you find Snake Eyes lacking, it's because out of the whole set, he was the most faithful to his 3 3/4" v2 look. A lot of people have problem with Scarlet's head as well, I don't either. I think she's quite beautiful in her own way, freckles and all. And NO ONE has red hair that are RED unless they're dyed. Natural "red heads" really are orange in color, so I got no problem with her hair color either. Like you said, her outfit has always stood out among her peers, so no problem there either. (In case some of you who are younger didn't know. It was because of the extra paint applied to her on the very first series of Joes that in order to recoup the cost of her paints, they decided to leave one figure in the set unpainted - all black - so Snake Eyes was born).

Best case, if you had bought them you'd be the owner of some of the raddest figures ever made. Worst case, you could have flipped them and (at least) tripled your money towards the Sentinels.

Probably, yeah. But even if the re-release rumors ARE true, the Target version of the Cobra Trooper is literally the first Classified figure that I would say is PERFECT. If they re-release it with ANY changes, no matter how nice they may be, the figure will no longer be perfect. So, we'll see.

Honestly, I LOVE the Classified Scarlett figure. The outfit could be a tad toned down when it comes to the colors, but it's not a huge deal and overall, it works. But I adore the head sculpt, with the pale skin, the freckles, and (as you correctly pointed out) the orange hair, which is the color natural redheads actually have. Some people have complained that she looks too young, but what, do you want her looking 50? No thanks, the figure is great as-is.

So shouldn’t they be called orange heads? ;) I agree I do like her head sculpt, she kinda looks like Morgan Webb

They call them red heads because orange didn’t exist as a name for a color until the fruit made its way west from Asia. “Orange” was actually a geographic area in France.

The color we now associate with orange was actually considered a shade of red. Hence “Erik the Red”, “red heads” and “robin red breast”.

Once the brightly colored citrus became popular across Europe, it’s name became associated with that particular shade of red.

I'm being honest, thanks for that mini history lesson. I was wondering about this (or something relatively similar) sometime last week but by the time I had a free moment to myself to look it up the notion had already slipped my mind and your post sorta jogged my memory.

That's pretty fucking unbelievable. I honestly wasn't worried about missing on the trooper, but now they throw yet another army builder along with my favorite character in Firefly as exclusives...it's like they want me to quit collecting the line all together.

The stream that just finished. Two regular releases are Zartan and a redone Cobra Trooper with less accessories, and two more to the Target Cobra Island line, Firefly and the Vipers.

No 6inch Joes were revealed, but they did say the Toy Fair Snake-Eyes is going to be back up for sale tonight.

Man hasbro just refuses to learn from their mistakes. Again with making mainline characters and troop builders exclusives. I think i am done with this line as i am not gonna deal with the gigantic clusterfuck that is target exclusives.
