Well thats why say the restoration shouldfind hawkeye blonde, younger, single and kid free. That way they can keep him around with a younger actor. Hell the hawkeye movie could have him and hawkingbird ( i still refer as that...and that was also my fave outfit she donned ) trying to stop swordsman and trick shot. Kinda a super hero movie....without the super.

To be fair, I think that's more that they haven't really written him well and let him shine than any fault of Jeremy Renner's. It'd be nice to see both him and Kate Bishop as Hawkeye. Maybe in a show on the Disney streaming service?

Yea I think you’re right about that. Like each installment that Black Widow(who’s basically Not one of the “big” characters like Hawkeye) they shined a little bit more on her in each movie. Starting with that chair fight in avengers, her role in Winter soldier was amazing and so on.. with Hawkeye all he’s really done is shoot arrow here shoot arrow there. And they even tried to kinda shoehorn a story for him in AOU that lead no where haha. I like I said already honestly hope they Replace him with Kate bishop. Because Hawkeye is one of the very few Mcu heroes that I just don’t like really. He’s boring, and has as much personality as toast. Which like you said is the writers fault.

Got Ωmega Red last week and overall it's swell but not perfect. His tentacles are great in my opinion, especially the inclusion of the shorter alternate options. The butterfly shoulder joints do a lot for this figure and it's just nice to see them on a larger figure such as this, but then given the character some kind of forearm/wrist swivel would've helped for getting some better poses with his tentacles. The paint that is here then is well done (particularly the hair and face) but on personal preference I would have liked for the 'Ω' on his headband and the also his boots to have been white/silver like was done for the 4" MU figure. Overall though I'm real pleased to have this figure.

Picked up Spidey Noir then last night on sale and as a figure I think he's okay, nothing too crazy new to sing high praise for but nothing really bad either. His accessories though are trash in my book. These futuristic space-age looking guns would work alright with a lot of different characters I suppose, but for the character who's entire premise is being set in the 1930s these laser guns are really out of place. Thankfully I had a revolver going unused from my NECA ultimate Terminator (police shootout) and it works surprisingly well with Spidey, his finger even fits into the trigger guard very naturally. Then just for a fun pic I let him borrow Freddy's fedora.

Agree ESN- Noir not having a hat was criminal- but thankfully that Freddy hat is out there (i went with the dream Warriors version and slapped some black paint on it)

I just grabbed the ultimate original Freddy's hat because it was closer to me at the moment but the Dream Warriors hat probably works better because it's less burnt and damaged looking. I won't be leaving my Spidey Noir on display with the fedora because I could never bring myself to take it away from Freddy. On the one hand I'm okay with him not having the hat because I don't really remember him wearing one very much in the comics (it's been a long time though so I may be mistaken) but on the other hand I would have liked for Hasbro to have included one because it's nice to have the option and then he has the hat in the upcoming animated movie.

DarthKamen 11-18-2018 09:51 PM

I still want a hat for him oh so badly.

Don't want to pay $30+ for a Freddy though just to get it...

The rumor going around was that it's what Disney is planning.

The one just looks like she has out of control ear hair. The arms stink on ice too. And then the pretty My Little Pony version...

SymbiSpidey 11-19-2018 07:38 AM

So what MCU movies are supposed to be coming out after Far From Home?

The Eternals
Black Widow
Black Panther 2
Doctor Strange 2

And I'd imagine X-Men and Fantastic Four are gonna be thrown in there somewhere too. Anything else?

I've long said the hunt was not worthwhile for me in recent years, minus a handful of instances, but this is going to be like a 95% failure ratio - don't see how going on hunts would keep hope sustainable.

I still find toy hunts enjoyable. My approach is to devote the day to it and go to stores that are further out than I would typically drive to. I don't always come back with something worthwhile but I tend to do better than just hitting the stores that are closest to me.

That looks pretty good. Does he have the same problem as MCU Nick Fury where he can't put his arms at his side?

I believe they're purposely not going to tell us in the hopes that we don't know how comics work and don't want to know which heroes are coming back from the dead. Though, anyone who knows comics knows that death is the super hero equivalent to us calling in sick.

What's The Eternals though?

They may not have looked good, but Toy Biz had a surprisingly wide range of figures offered throughout the 5" days.

He uses the Ghost Rider/Star Lord/AIM Beekeeper arms, so not quite.

True dat. Picked up figures from that line that I still do not even know who they are to this day, but they were like 2 for $5 at Kay Bee so...

This is the kind of nostalgia that hits me right in the heart.

My dad used to have business-related meetups (they were kind of informal, but happened every other week like clockwork), so he'd have them at the closest mall with a Kay Bee, so he could give me $10 and I'd entertain myself for, like, an hour. Come home with a bunch on new figures.

Those were the days.

And you could have complete teams. I had the 90’s xforce and havok led xfactor ( and later original factor and the strikeforce xmen.)

The director of Ant-Man/Ant-Man and the Wasp wants a third film, so I would think that's on the list. Captain Marvel 2 is probably on there too. There was also a rumor of a standalone Hawkeye film focused on Kate Bishop with Renner-Hawkeye in the mentor role. Though that may be intended for Disney+.

I could never bring myself to buy that Polaris, though. I mean, a Rogue repaint (thus giving her a 'magnetic power-punch' action) armed with a submachine gun rifle? Oh my god.

I LOVED those figures. There was a time where I was almost complete on that toy line and I considered selling off my legends. Instead I sold the old ones and kept my legends. I made some decent money on them.

YES! There were so many characters that were in like 2 issues and never seen again. I remember a guy named Killspree who was in 1, maybe 2 issues of X-Force. He had 2 different version made! Ha! I used to run to KB when I was at the mall with my allowance/birthday money and buy 6 figures at a time. I remember my KB having mostly 3 figures for $10. Sometimes, other lines would be 2 for $5, like the Ghost Rider line. They even marked the cycles down to that price!

My Dad always went to the Autozone next to the KB and he'd do that same thing. Give me $10 and get me out of his hair for an hour.

I think those figures are responsible for my love of those team line ups. I could play with X-Force or X-Factor and have them go on a mission instead of just random figures thrown together.

Haha, I remember her. It was a lame repaint, but I had it.
