Also, in regards to the "people don't care about Overwatch" bit... well, it's very striking designs in a high-action near-future with a continuing, if a bit mishandled, lore. How is that ANY different from comics? Besides, this is Blizzard. They've got plenty of people still caring about WoW this far out. |

For example, my wife found herself getting bored with Skyrim as it seemed that after a few hours, she started pursuing the same power up goals and equipment, no matter the character she created. Having come from an older school of pen and paper RPGs (D&D and Shadowrun) I told her that she should make up rules about what her character will and will not do, and allow those to guide her next quest through Skyrim. For example, if I was playing a Khajiit, I had no issues joining the Brotherhood, although I would only tend to take missions where I would kill Nords, due to the amount of racism I had encountered in the land. I would never kill other Khajiit, Elves, or Argonians since they dealt with the same race issues. Being a male character, I wouldn't equip armor looted off of female bodies. In fact, wearing looted armor was disgusting, as I didn't want the blood of my enemies caked in my Khajiit fur, so I only wore armor I purchased or made myself...and so on. Of course, this is just an example, but it also shows how you can let your created character's backstory and rules guide your quest, as opposed to allowing the game to hold your hand and force you to play the way they want to. |

When my wife and I were playing Fallout: New Vegas, because of the lack of readily-available stimpacks in the early game, we mostly healed from Sunset Sarsaparillas - decent healing, no Rad increase, and you add the bottlecap to your funds. Which resulted in, even into the late game, us carrying over a hundred pounds of just sarsaparillas for healing. So of course, this led to the conclusion that our Courier is always on a mild sugar buzz as she cuts a path of carnage through the desert, but none of her companions say anything because she's also keeping them constantly in caps. Also, after talking to one NPC in this one NCR camp, something happened with the game (lol Bethesda) that resulted in our Courier throwing herself down the hill from the entrance of that tent and lying prone for a few moments, which we decided meant that she had a crush on the NPC and just got absolutely flustered and clumsy after the conversation :D Like you said, it's all in how you relate to, and interpret, the game. |

I tried to play again and it just wasn't me any more. My problem is, I cannot pretend to be someone else. I tried hard to be involved in a story and make myself that character, and I could never make myself a character in the story. Maybe I lack imagination or just on of those people who simply fell out of love? I cannot get into backstories and deep plots and so on, in gaming. To be fair, I am also that way in movies. I find drama's boring...very much. Maybe I just lack the mental abilities to be involved in a moving, well laden story? I think at this point, I am just a guy who like simple things. There's the main boss, I am a plumber and needs to save a princess...got it. I actually enjoy my old school comics, with the weekly or monthly villain who idiotic plot always gets foiled by the hero and no one can figure out who that the fumbling, reporter, with bad posture, really is Superdude. |

Where did the other numbers come from (especially 100?!)? |

Anyway this is a Marvel thread so let's not derail it further. There is an Overwatch thread for such discussions to take place. |

Insult games and passive aggressively disparage gamers? Coming from a guy on a site dedicated to childrens playthings. You're the one who constantly rants against stuff that virtually everyone disagrees with then disappears until next time, right? Am I mistaken? Imagination is one of the most important things in life. For all humanity. But you do you. |

Dorkside has banners for the M'Baku and Kingpin wave, and even acts as a link to preorder Kingpin, but when I click through there's nothing. My anxiety and OCD is kicking in.

Just saw where Dorkside will start taking pre-orders for the Kingpin wave this Saturday. Sooooo tempted,...but...all I really want is the BAF. But man, how I want him. Blergh.

I don't really want the wave either, but I do want 2 of the Kingpin BAF...mostly weak ass wave with one of the best non-Sauron BAF's Hasbro has done. If it were a meh BAF i'd be down for just 2 figures - Silver Sable and Night Thrasher. |

Why would I want to invest 100 hours in a game if I have to do the leg work with the story? I buy the games to be told a good story. That is one of the reasons why I always replayed the Ninja Gaiden games as a kid. They were some of the few video games that had fully fleshed out stories with cutscenes and everything. Even Mega Man didn't have that nor did Castlevania until Symphony of the Night. |

Hasbro is going to put out so much product next year. Other than a few high demand figures I'm glad to say finding things at retail has been better than ever. |
