Spidey! I got Clayface in the mail today, it was $10 shipped, but the rubber arms are a little munched. I don't care though, it was a great deal. Thanks to Swindleshop for that link he posted a while back, it worked out great. I'm trying to figure out where to put Basil, so I'll post a picture when he's up with the rest of the goons.

haha no problem man! Yeah my arms were sorta messed up too..but its a damn cool mold!

Torn Prince 07-28-2012 11:24 PM

SwindlesShop, I'm very jealous you have that honor guard Joker. I need him bad. I'm kind of trying to see if I can get one for a decent price, but I don't need the Batman that comes with him. So I keep stalking ebay hoping to find HG Joker by himself for less than 20 bucks. I mean damn, you can get that pack itself MOC for a little more than that.

DogFashionDisco 07-28-2012 11:25 PM

Yeah, it looks cool. I'm still moving stuff around, but here is what he looks like so far with the others. Oh, and apparently this isn't Basil, I got my Clayfaces mixed up.

Robin looks like he's about to "take" catwoman.

FancyPants 07-28-2012 11:40 PM

FrankCastle 07-29-2012 12:03 AM

So no one is revealing where they are finding these figs?? Or better yet pick me one up and sell it to me! :)

Wait wait wait... Sub isn't happening?

At the rate they're selling, it probably won't. The time period for the sale is 2/3 done and, if the meter they have on there is accurate, they've sold about 1/3 of the minimum they say they'll require to make the sub go forward.

If so, yes it's sad to see it die, but it's hard to afford $30 per figure ($18 sticker price + about $10 to ship + tax).

Side note 1 -- I've eBayed alot -- it shouldn't cost that much to ship that box. $7 maybe.

Side note 2 -- I subbed in 2012. Despite all their screw-ups (like delaying, twice, Jay Garrick shipments), I'm glad I did. Character selection ended up being quite good IMO, only 2 or 3 out of the bunch that I really don't want. 2013 -- higher price and there's only 1 revealed so far that I must have -- Larfleeze. But I'm paying like $27 per fig after shipping and taxes, so they darn well better be good. And I wasn't expecting it to be that expensive. I didn't know shipping and taxes would be that much -- and they are even charging tax on shipping which I think is wrong. Now the price will go over $30. I don't need Phantom Stranger that badly. Nor even Wally (I'm content with Barry, and/or they could put him in the DC Unlimited retail line). I'd like Larfleeze, Elongated Man, and Saint Walker, but I won't die without them. However, I could die without the nearly $400 this sub would cost -- I could use that money for food.

Side note 3 -- If they want the sub to go forward, they should do 2 figs every 2 months. I mean, Watchmen folks are going to get something every other month and that seems okay to them. Give us 2 figs every other month and combine shipping. I'm guessing that'd bring the average total cost per fig down by about $4. (Instead of $10 shipping each, maybe $12 to ship two together, so average shipping price becomes $6). I'd even be down for 3 figures shipped once per quarter.

I agree with this. I really want Wally though. If it doesn't go through I'm sure they'll find a way to release most of the sub figs. the shipping indeed sucks. that probably has to do with digital river I imagine.

Bubba304 07-29-2012 10:41 AM

digital river sucks....nobody likes paying S/H fees...especially high ones. when you buy on ebay or amazon its coming right from the seller so usually you get a good price for S/H. But since matty doesn't want to ship it out themselves, they outsourced the job to the people at digital river so now we pay the S/H fee as well as the extra cost of digital river. its really frustrating to see how Mattel is handling all of these customer complaints, the message boards on matty, facebook, youtube, various websites and blogs, there are a lot of paying customers and fans who are complaining and one major complaint is digital river. now I'm not sure how long their contract is with them, but if I were sitting on top of my high horse at Mattel I'd be thinking twice about renewing my contract with them, heck I'd have the legal department find a way to break the contract. take care of your customers first....without customers you get no money...without money you get no profit...no profit no bonus...you see where I'm going with this.

SwindlesShop 07-29-2012 10:42 AM

I finally reorganized my Bat-shelf, so I figured I'd share some quick pics :)

Well, I think it's save to say that Mattel cannot run an effective business.
