I don't think Rogue is going to be released as a special Walgreen's exclusive for a wave of figures that are already exclusive to TRU. It doesn't really make sense.

jmurray90720 09-14-2014 11:30 PM

Have we seen any carded samples of Lyra, Blade, Moonstar, aoa Jean, white phoenix, or any of the other unreleased figures NOT currently slated for another wave? If not that could mean something for Rogue, which is the most exciting part of this for me. After the success of the TRU Exclusive X Men I could see them doing another wave of X Men for a wide release.

Rogue

I have never seen carded samples of all those figures. I really want that Blade and Moonstar. I would hope they would do a distribution for them. I would also be ok if Hasbro did some kind of club, like Mattel does, that would offer these figures.

ultraman zoffy 09-15-2014 06:33 PM

Been spending too much money on figures lately, so I dipped into my fodder bin and threw together my own Ms. Marvel. Saves money and the hassle of hunting Target for a 3-pack I only want one figure from! =)

Rogue

Along with the success of he X-men wave Agent venom has been super successful as well

jmurray90720 09-15-2014 07:55 PM

Looks like a WWE Diva with Black Cat's head/Brie Bella's hair (?). Looks good. I always liked Mattel's diva figures, I just can't stand 99 percent of the Divas these days so I got out a while ago.

Being that Rogue was cancelled, they can re-package and sell her pretty much any type of way. Rogue was part of the Wolverine Legends line that was exclusive to Previews (Diamond, not TRU) which is a distributor to all specialty stores. Thus, the Wolvie Legends wave wasn't really all that exclusive. They were just produced in low number, like the TRU X-Men Legends.

Agent Venom's success is yet to be seen. Being the case packout is all AV, and if every Walgreens is getting an entire case (which they seem to be), soon enough Agent Venom will be the most worthless, peg-warming ML toy ever produced. There is no way they're moving 64000 of those things. Here's hoping they didn't make that many of him...

Spyne98 09-16-2014 03:50 AM

My Walgreens had 8 Agent Venom figures a week ago. Yesterday, they were all gone. I don't think he'll be peg warming.

Exactly! And, if you consider that they're only in the US, there are many collectors around the globe...and don't forget our customiser friends!

ChuckSass 09-16-2014 05:49 AM

I am nervous a Dani Moonstar will show up on ebay and I have saved up money… I want it.

Hopefully you're right. But with 400+ on eBay right now, only selling for cost +shipping, I think a lot of collectors and more so- scalpers will be returning all the extra they bought. I'm optimistic though.

With that said- I have 2 Agent Venoms left. Cost plus shipping to anywhere in the world. PM me.

Good karma!

My view of scalping figures on ebay or wherever remains the same, however as Hasbro remakes are better 9 out of 10 times, only a few Toybiz figs hold up. Either its a slow point in the year or reselling just isn't as profitable as it once was (good for us). Whatever the reason, there is a lot to be had on the boards here and other sites, where the collector isn't about making money, we're about the passion for our hobby. Ebay is fine for getting hard to finds if you don't mind paying more and/ or hidden shipping costs, by that I mean $20 US to ship a loose figure (puhleeze). Anyhoo, I'm always grateful for the folks here and elsewhere that will trade for what they want and those who aren't asking an arm or leg for something.

Patience is the key friends, wait it out and you'll find it!

*Tuesday is tangent day! Lol

If the stores by me are any indication, it seems like some Walgreens (ones who got later shipments) are actually getting full runs rather than an entire Agent Venom case. One by me had 4 Agent Venom but also had Electro, Beetle, Superior & Amazing Spidey, Carnage and it was pretty clear it was 2 cases worth that had already been picked over a bit. Another had Superior Spidey and Beetle but had been picked nearly clean when I got there. Hopefully that $15 sale last week helped to move some off their shelves as well.

Exodus 09-16-2014 11:06 AM

Haha I need to seriously stop by Walgreens for Agent Venom, I keep getting lazy and drive by them, even though they're actually more of those then Targets/TRU combined in my area.

I just bought the X-Men box set off of TRU online for $40. it says it's listed at $59. But when you put it in your basket it goes down to $40. And free shipping at $50. I added the Cyclops w/Jubilee BAF that I needed so $61 for all 6 figures and the arm I needed to complete her feels like a steal these days.

Iceman 09-16-2014 06:51 PM

Is anyone else having a problem with the new lower quality plastic? It used to be easy to heat up a figure with an arm or leg that wasnt straight, bend it the way you want, and then cool it. Now that the elbow and knee joints are already so gummy they dont respond as well to the heating and cooling method.

Any issues I've had recently are mostly with the female knee joints. In severe cases, I just put some super glue on a thin pin (Like the kind you find in new dress shirts), push it vertically through the back of the knee joint and cut off the excess. Forms a nice "strut" to keep it straight and doesn't affect anything visually or functionally.

I just recently bought the x-men 5 figure set for 40 bucks but I see with the deal if I get xmen set, wolverine and cyclops it's 75 bucks with tax only. So I can just return the set i got last week which means I get Wolverine and Cyclops for 15 bucks each.

Cool so bought, 40 is a good price.
