Many retailers typically do this the first one to three months of the new year and will often stock the bare minimum of product so as to make less work for themselves.

In the stores where I've seen the Captain Marvel wave thus far (keep in mind I've only spotted the 4 times in the wild myself,) it's the MCU Carol and Yon Rogg figures that are warming, while the Skrull, Fury and comic figures are nowhere to be found.

I missed this post a couple of pages back...but if you're looking for hands because you're kitbashing customs, check out some of the Chinese sellers on Ebay. They sell hand parts for several different figures, including the ones your looking for in pairs of ten. They come in white, and need to be cleaned up a little bit, but can easily painted thanks to the base color and will work on nearly all female Legends figures on an adult body.

It's always interesting to hear what 'warms' in different parts of the country. Here in SW CT it's largely the MCU stuff. At Walmart 10th anniversary figs clog the shelves. Mostly the Thor & Sif pack, followed by the Stark and Mark I pack, then the Bucky & Falcon (not 10th anniversary) pack, and Gwenpool on occasion. Walgreens has surpluses of Domino, Cloak, Dagger, and the Invisible Woman. Target has Proxima, Namor, Black Bolt, Songbird, and 10th anniversary packs plus Red Skull. Gamestop is actually selling through pretty consistently, which I believe is attributable to locations only ordering 1-2 cases. Storm and Magneto are lingering in some Gamestops.

I haven't been out doing a toy run in a while but the last time I went, early December, I saw quite a few Gladiators, Songbirds, Black Bolts and King Cobras. Oh and of course at Target that Deadpool-venom hybrid thing they have.

DarthKamen 01-13-2019 11:03 AM

Anyone need the Ragnarok Hulk BAF minus the arms?

Trivial Psychic 01-13-2019 01:09 PM

Just curious...to anyone who has the Kingpin wave:

1. Does the Venom head that came with Back in Black Deadpool fit on the new Symbiote Spidey?

2. Has anyone tried giving a wash to the Six-Armed Spidey? I've watched a couple of reviews, and the sculpt and linework are solid enough...outside the missing articulation, the figure seems to really just be lacking a proper wash more than anything.

3. Does anyone see Mephisto in that headsculpt of Red Goblin? Or is it just me? A few tweaks here and there....and well...yeah....There he is....

Augustus_Cole 01-13-2019 01:14 PM

anyone know a good default set of arms that would go good with multiple man once ya get those trench-coat arms off?

The only figure left anywhere here is Genis Vell.
It's not really indicative of anything, new waves go quickly. Only two of the dolls were left. There are several Carols in circulation, not yet sure I'd take it as a sign that people reject this movie because you can still find a few of them.

The only figure that isn't moving as well out here is Songbird. I wish she'd get discounted already, because I want one. Not enough to pay full retail price, though.

definitely liking these....

They must go through a lotta turtle wax. ;)

AFU 01-13-2019 02:09 PM

Note: I been thinking...Can we get a new ML Hulk, please...A real one! Not that mediocre one from the Avengers movie, box set or the one that is two shades of green...Hasbro, just like you put love into making the Thing figure, do the same for Hulk! That my rant!

I really want a classic Buscema Hulk but my fear is that Hasbro will make it the BAF in a wave I'm otherwise not very interested in, it shouldn't even be a BAF in the first place. Basically I'm worried that they'd pull another Kingpin on us.

Augustus_Cole 01-13-2019 03:17 PM

I gots 4 M'Baku BAF right legs if anyone needs....

funny i've never heard anyone mention the desire for the kings guard. (the men seen in Infinity War) . I'd like some of those too.

Picked up Genis-Vell a couple days ago, because he looked pretty cool in box. In hand it’s the biggest piece of shit figure I’ve seen in a while. The head wobbles way too high on its peg. His head appears to be floating from the back. I hope he’s not a sign of the quality to come this year.

My Genis-Vell's head doesn't wobble at all. His head does sit slightly high on his neck, but everything about him is tight. I was really surprised to find that he is made of clear plastic. Put him up to a lamp and to get a better look at him and was very surprised to see through bits of his torso.

Harbinger 01-13-2019 06:32 PM

Been the opposite for me. Genis seems to have been moving well, but Gargoyle is very plentiful. Of the two Carols the cat version seems to be moving more.

Count me in as well for some of those, as well as M'Baku's troops.

DarthKamen 01-13-2019 08:31 PM

I want a Spidey from the very end of Infinity War.

Best of all, they could easily retool it for StarLord, T'Challa, Bucky...
