If you go to the MTV Splash Page, they have an article about a supposed leaked script for Spiderman 4 which included more musical numbers. Maybe it is a good thing this film did not get made after all.

This is not good. Raimi did well with 1 & 2. sony bombed with 3. Hmm.. Doesn't seem smart. This is why i quit reading spider-man. He got real gay. now his movies will be the same. LOL. I heard on the Radio that they want michael cera or robert pattinson to play spidey. SERIOUSLY!?! WTF? Also how is this going to work because in 2012 Disney takes over ownership of Marvel. That's why there is talk of that venom movie being jumpstarted, a reboot of FF, a Ghost Rider 2 and a reboot of Daredevil with Jason Statham as Matt Murdock and Frank Miller directing. All are apparently being rushed out because if they are not done the rights will be lost to disney in 2012. Anyway the only movie I care about is Deadpool!

This is my own opinion, movie franchises with the exception of Star Wars and Bond seem to lose their flavor after second film and anything after that the filmakers are on auto pilot. Think Godfather III .

It's still stupid to restart a franchise that was making money and easily fixable.

Damn... I honestly feel uneasy in my stomach at the thought of them starting over. I just don't know. That was Parker to me, and all the blame for Spider-Man 3 can't fall on Raimi, it just can't. With any luck this won't make it out, Disney will get the rights, they'll put Raimi and Tobey back on it to do 4, and they WON'T stick their noses in it. ;)

Yeah, and then world peace breaks out. Damn...

jimster2010 01-14-2010 07:42 AM

I agree with previous 2 posts. I do not fault Raimi 100% for the cinematic abortion that is Spiderman 3, as I advised earlier, Sony forced their ideas of which villlains are to be used because in their opinion Venom is more marketable than the Vulture. As a result it made Raimi do a poor attempt to what would have been a great installment to the franchise. I mean who needs an all singing and all dancing Spiderman. If that garbage was in the first movie, it would have went straight to DVD in a week.
