I am very happy with this spread. Hasbro promised us a season of mutants and I'd say 60% of the selection is mutants so it's also nice to see that they get to throw in some cosmic stuff and more troop builders.

All of these bought easily and no question

I saw a pic of him on Marvelousnews, he seemed like a beefcake...

Hey guys, I don't know if I'm over examining here but look at the background of those slides. They have drawings of other characters. New possible figures?!

I think it might be the Gaurdian body wit ha new hand. And the Daken looks to be a Brown and Yellow Wolvie with Redeco....

And new hands of course.
The Venom looks like he's all worn though with roughness, or maybe the pic I saw was blurry. But he doesn't seem to match any bodies I recognize.

Tarquinius 02-13-2010 11:17 PM

What do you guys think of Archangel. Looks like his wings are foldable which is nifty, but they could be either really great or really crappy...

Love it, and hope it gets reused for a modern dark hawk later. =D
Unless they do him vulture style. Which would prime for falcon too.

Think they are attachable like thor's cape?

That'd be cool because you could have more range of motion and posibility options

Apparently it's some type of clip on way, at least from what we saw of Toy Fair UK and them having it on colossus by accident.

It also appears like a slightly new head sculpt as well. The ears look longer, at the very least.

As for Venom, I'm excited about this new mold, however, I really hope they do him in his actual Venom hulking form at some point. After seeing that MU Colossus, I would really like to recreate that awesome Venom vs Colossus battle from X-Men Utopia.

I'm going to be spending so much money on MU this year :(

Listen, I keep a Checklist of all the figures I plan to purcahse, since 2009. I collect Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Transformer, and Marvel. AND I collect comics.

I moved around a lot of figures and comics and decided not to puchase quite a few. I am hoping to get most of the Marvel figures this year and focus on that instead.

I dropped a few good comic series too. -_-. Sad... but I don't have the income.

I keep an MU checklist too, and cut character corners whenever I can. Like 2010 wave 2 only has 3 I need for teams. Wave 3 becomes problematic again though having to be an all good wave. T_T
Nice thing on that one at least, it'll be easier to order from bbts as one giant case.

oh. oh nice. I like that a lot actually. Daken looks good too. It'll be nice to get the dark avengers all in one place. Work it Hasbro. Work it.

Also, I hate sentry and I want that figure.

OH hello, Wrecker! Saw it coming, but I still loves him.

Good year for us, I'd say.

And the worst part about this? I just finised my dark avengers customs. T_T
Now I'm going to replace most if not all. Though I probably won't keep dark ms. marvel as that in favor of my custom. instead using her head for blackcat. But the replace are so replaced. Hawkeye will look better with them.

Skrull's head better be easy to transfer around too.

A HAha! oh that's rich. This is legitimately the ONLY figure they had to make to pull off secret invasion. Just buy 20 skrulls and you have enough heads for the imposters. it's funny.

Variant packs are easy now too.
But heck, buying 1 is all you really need. Doesn't really matter till whoever gets ousted as a skrull. =D

Johnnyakiba 02-14-2010 08:02 AM

CANT WAIT FOR MS.LYON....

Now I can start my Pet Avengers!

Lol I was just thinking that this morning :(. Luckily my checklist ONLY consist of MU (I'm a new collector and I need to start things from the get-go and get them all).

I was also just thinking, am I going crazy or was Thanos one of the Poll Selections? I was just looking for the list but I can't find it anywhere. It'd kinda make sense considering they never officially "announced" Luke Cage, he was just there and we figured it out.

Now this mystery kind of surrounding Thanos...

Even though Darkhawk is my favorite Marvel character and needs to be used more I just don't think they will make him and that is a shame as I find more and more Darkhawk fans everyday

There may be hope then though. He may be obscure, but he has a cult fan base... Isn't that key for some of the obscures to sell? Like Iron Fist, among others.

True but who knows. I would never have thought they would make a Mary Jane figure (even though she is more popular then DH) but we have one coming out. The only thing that gets me with all these figures coming out is I like Spider-man, Capt. America, Wolverine, and Iron Man but do we really need 10 different versions of each.....if they would only do 1 repaint per wave and put out 5 figures that would be great.

mmoote 02-14-2010 07:27 PM

for 2 figures I was really looking forward to, Colossus and Archangel, I think their heads are quite disappointing (at least in the photos). Hopefully in person they look better. Any comments from those who have seen them on display?
