Not yet....I'm still waiting for some more press stuff... Maybe they will give us firmer details.

Snowflakian 02-14-2010 04:14 AM

I'm definitely getting all of wave 3. (Going to pounce on that soon as bbts puts it up. I will not risk missing a single one of them.)
Wave 4 I may only get Iron Patriot, Dark Ms. Marvel, and Iron Spidey.
Definitely getting Sentry and the two dark avengers too.

I seriously hope wave 5 is all cosmic to prep for whatever 2011's waves will be.
DarkHawk, Nova, Thanos, Mystique, X-force X-23, Blackbolt, Falcon, vulture, vulcan or whoever else.
Odds are wave 5 will be Dark X-Men though. Which works for me if there's an emma figure.
Hope cloak and dagger make it to a civil war two pack too.

And while not MU. The SHS Helicarrier is freaking sweet! It has peg holes on it. So if they make any MU height size shifting characters. That'll be so epic on it. And close enough money-wise to what I'm willing to spend. I may finally have a use for my pile driver figure. xD

megazt6 02-14-2010 01:32 PM

They are making the dark avengers thats really nice now I wont have to burn a hole in my pocket making customs and the vemon posed as spiderman I thought it was going to be the same mold but they gave him a new mold

I am stoked about Sentry. What do you think about that spiderman? They are painting on his webbing instead. I guess it's better than having another wave one Spiderman.

I believe it's also using the black Spider/House of M Spidey body, instead of the body used for the red/blue and red/black figures in the first series of figures.

Which is good, because I was hoping they would update it to use the superior body.

I'm pretty impressed with what I've seen so far. I'm still really excited to get that modern Thor. Archangel looks great. Juggernaut looks awesome. I like Colossus, and the fact that he is bigger than the others. Can't wait for that Galactus (what other characters could they do in this size?) Overall very excited for all the stuff that's coming out.

I agree with Tarquinis in that I thought we would actually get to see more new figures. It is a lot, but we've already known about the first two waves of 2010 and that Galactus for a while now. I guess they'll reveal the rest of the year's figures at Comic Con.

ZeoVGM 02-14-2010 10:11 PM

Also, we're getting a 6-pack:

Sometime in the latter half of the year, there will be a MU 6-pack. They wouldn’t get specific about it, but they did say it would be based on a very important (and highly priced) comic in Marvel’s history. My guess is Giant Size X-Men #1. But that is MY OWN GUESS, so don’t hold Hasbro to that.

He's guessing Giant-Size, but I'm hoping for the original X-Men, as that would be far more exciting. And honestly it makes more sense. We'll already have most of the characters in those costumes released by the time we get that 6-pack: Warpath (red/blue variant is coming), Wolverine (blue/yellow in the Target 2-packs), Colossus (upcoming wave), Cyclops (a lighter version of that costume is already in the SW 2-packs and we're getting that darker version in a new 2-pack with Phoenix).

The only ones we'll need are Nightcrawler and that version of Storm.

The original X-Men makes more sense. Maybe even with Professor X instead of Magento.

ludovicotek 02-14-2010 10:27 PM

^ Agreed. Original X-Men would be a lot cooler. As you said, we already have every one of the Giant-Sized cover characters already, minus that version of Storm. We're getting the mohawk version. And Nightcrawler is also coming out in a comic pack.

ZeoVGM 02-14-2010 10:31 PM

Oh shit, I forgot about that Nightcrawler figure that we're getting. So that makes what I said even more true.

I think it is Giant Size X-Men #1, primarily because they pretty much have the majority of molds needed. All they need are the shoulder pads from the Target tiger stripe Wolverine, and possibly the mask.

ludovicotek 02-14-2010 10:42 PM

Storm would need a new mold. Seems like a waste to make a whole 6-pack just for one new figure. Or for them (Hasbro) it actually makes more sense.

Johnnyakiba 02-14-2010 11:21 PM

Does anybody else have a problem with the arm articulation with the Marvel female body?

I think that is the one thing that could use an update. Also, how about a new female body too?

I don't mind the body used on Spiderwoman/Enchantress. I think Hasbro held off on a bicep swivel because it would "break" the sculpt. If one can be added without compromising sturdiness/sculpt, I wouldn't mind it.

I'm mad that to get the new punisher and black panther I have to get two more figures of iron man

Simply the nature of things. Black Panther isn't exactly the best selling figure. Iron Man will push the pack.

I'm hoping the Punisher is actually a new mold or better one than the old one; the old one should be retired.

Probably is, we've got Tiger stripe wolvie in the target two packs as well.
That's just a lot of cyclops though. I hope he's left out in favor of professor X. Ditto to the classic team, leave magneto out in favor of professor X.

Though it wouldn't surprise me if it's all inhumans either.
Blackbolt, Crystal, medusa, Gorgon, Karnak, and blackbolt's brother.

Yay to new black panther, I hope he can do poses like from his cartoon.

The old mold is retired actually so it will definitely be new.

ZeoVGM 02-15-2010 03:08 AM

How come the pictures from the panel show the new two-packs as "wave 3"? Even if they were counting the SW waves, it would be wave 5.

Just to be clear, Warpath's red/blue and Thunderbird's aren't quite close enough to be called the same figure.

Prem1x 02-15-2010 08:20 AM

If they did X-Men #1 6-pack with Magneto, it would be a new body because the Daredevil body is retired (as of Toy Fair).

Good. I was just setting up my villians, and having Magneto a head shorter sucks.

Cyclops needs a new mold, them arms are too short! Inhumans I doubt until later on, not too much recognizability at this point.

What I want are separate box sets for X-Men Blue Team and X-Men Gold team! HELL YEAH! Then a brotherhood of evil mutants set!

Good to know! Thanks! It's about time, hopefully the same rings true for Black Panther. Also I hope the Iron Man pictured is the Extremis and not the 08 version.

Unfortunately, you know how it is with Hasbro man, it's usually "close enough".

How many AIM Soldiers are you going to purchase?

Me, about 5.
