I think that this team will be as divided as the Civil War was in Marvel. I myself am glad that Steve is back and on AN Avenger team.
That being said, I think that if he is running SHIELD and not in the field, then the outfit shown is PERFECT for that role. It leads back to Fury and his SHIELD days, but has the American touch that is Steve Rogers. IF (HUGE IF), If Steve is going to be a Field Commander, then he should have taken a look that could (at first) disguise who he is and still instill pride in the team. I would have taken the American Son Armor and used it (but slowly removed bits and pieces until it was back to a suit/outfit similar to the one he is wearing but with the mask similar to the old Bucky one. I like the team, as it is not a perfect team, and is infact really a hodge podge of characters that all have strengths but have failings as well. I think that this team, MAY end up having the best chemistry and stories. |
does anyone else think that the secret avengers are gonna be like the mighty avengers and be the team that goes into space, maybe they'll have a part in thanos imperative
|
I think they should put Cap back in his classic costume, and give that new costume to Bucky.

We're getting Avengers, New Avengers, Secret Avengers, Avengers Academy, Avengers Prime(just a miniseries though), and Thunderbolts(Luke Cage leading former villains, so not technically an Avengers book). |

Yeah, the new shots look a lot better, but I think it needs more red.
Something like one of these two images: http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...y_full-fix.jpghttp://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...-1344932-1.jpg (Photoshop work courtesy of hamgravy on the Bendis board.) |

Steve's new outfit looks a lot like the fighting american outfit from DC and Awesome Comics.
Wonder if that was on purpose. Fighting American (comic book character) - Comic Vine The lack of red on top being the only real difference besides the mask. Probably why it's like that. To pay homage without getting litigated right back for it lol. I hope they do an MU figure of him. I'll get two. One to keep as Steve, and the other to Kitbash into the fighting american! |

And Ultron is looking slick as usual... Man I can't stop talking to my friends about how happy that I am that Moon Knight is in the Avengers again... And I really hope we get a Steve Rogers figure soon. I love his outfit. |

I'm uber excited about the Secret Avengers. I know that the only two Avengers titles I'm gonna be picking up on a monthly basis are Avengers and Secret Avengers. The other ones don't seem too interesting to me.
But Secret Avengers just looks so damn sweet. I love how the line-up has characters from every corner of the Marvel Universe. And they're all for the most part underrated, under-read characters that I'm glad are getting some recognition. I mean, you've got: - Steve Rogers, aka " the original Captain America" - leader, war veteran, master tactician...assassination victim? Yea, Steve's still got it. - Richard Rider, aka "Nova" - current cosmic heavy-hitter, space police, all-around universe preserver. - Marc Spector, aka "Moon Knight" - former mercenary & resident New York City vigilante. - Dr. Hank McCoy, aka "Beast" - Mutant, physician, biochemist, geneticist, poet, political activist...yea, he's just a big, furry brain. Plus, he can kick your ass pretty thuroughly. - Samantha Parrington (Brunnhilde), aka "Valkyrie" - resident Asgardian demi-goddess, wielder of Dragonfang, rider of Aragorn...she's a babe with a big sword, there's really nothing else you need to know. - James Rhodes (Rhodey), aka "War Machine" - Aviation expert, soldier, Stark confidant, and general bad-ass. - Natalia "Natasha" Romanova, aka "Black Widow" - former Soviet spy, S.H.I.E.L.D. operative, ballerina, bona fide femme fatale...red head? : ) Antman might also be on the team, but I'm not sure if he's sticking around. How can you NOT be excited over that? I see a lot of potential dynamics with these characters, and I really hope Ed Brubaker and Mike Deodato pull it off. http://comicsmedia.ign.com/comics/im...0100636056.jpg |
