I think I would have liked these if was 5 or 7 years old. Perfect for smashing them around given how heavy on the plastic they are. Reminds me of the old ninja turtles and MOTU figs. They could take a beating.

pics from my cell, not the best but it's something.
The head from batman is the same a from TB&B, all others don't look like from any other animated series. |
Yeah I'm probably going to get the GL. It's cool they made an armored Luthor.

Hm...I don't have a TB&B Bats so I'll need to be on the look out for this one.

That Wonder Woman doesn't look too bad. She looks proportional at least and doesn't have huge hands. I haven't seen this set in Target yet, so it's hard to decide if it's worth picking up the set just for her.
|
So I saw those JL figures at Target and they are down right hideous. Nobody seems to have a neck. Hell, Superman and Aquaman don't even look like they have mouths. These are toys I would expect to find in a bootleg store in the mall, not at Target.

i like that they all have old justice league accessories so im hoping the continue with the series so i can get a bottle city of kandor.
|
True. I'd love to have the Phantom Zone projector but I'm not buying that Superman just to get it. The only one that looks halfway decent (as I'm sure I've stated before) is GL.

Okay...I got this for my 7-year-old son yesterday and got a closer look at the figures to try and determine their origin. I'm pretty certain that they're mostly, if not all, from the Brave & the Bold line.
Batman, Superman and Aquaman are DEFINITELY from the B&B line. In fact, I compared the JL figures to the B&B figs that my son has. The head sculpts, torso and legs are definitely the same - if you look at Aquaman, he has a Jay Leno chin, which was obviously meant for the beard he sported in B&B. The arms are different, since they don't have the holes for the snap-on accessories. Not really sure where Flash and Green Lantern are from. I don't think that GL is from the abandoned "Animated Series" toyline. I'm thinking maybe they were unreleased B&B figures. Wonder Woman, I think is a repaint of her "Justice League Unlimited" figure. The eyes were repainted to give it less of a DCA-look. On another note, I saw Lex Luthor advertised on the cardbacks - has anyone seen him? |
Finally saw these in person yesterday. All BUT GL. Figures since I would like to get one. The JL pack looks nice but not worth $50. Wonder if the ones only in the pack will get single releases?

I got a GL not long ago. I popped the fist piece off the end of the GL movie Hal Jordan's construct and it looks pretty sweet on the Target GL's hand.
