I assume these are with the other Batman line that's currently at stores now. . . so they'd be something like 5.5" Not quite up to DCUC size.

I think their reveals for next year's sub are better than the reveals they gave at last year's SDCC for the 2013 sub. Starting off with more "name brand" characters. This year: Aquaman, Superboy, Doomsday (okay, and Ice, not quite so marquis). Last year: Phantom Stranger, Saint Walker, Monsieur Mallah, Larfleeze, Wally Flash, Elongated Man. Gotta really play it up to convince us to cough up $20 per figure, plus tax and shipping.

And I do like that Ice. Way better than DC Direct's version. But I think I like the colors on DC Direct's Ocean Master better.

And I guess that no mention of DC Unlimited and Batman Unlimited means those lines are dead? I did see that Target is clearancing them already.

And I knew Mattel would go 4" sooner or later! (But seeing what they chose to go with, they should have had these out when the video game came out; it's like how Hasbro botched GI Joe on both Renegades and Resolute. . .and you could probably throw Retaliation in there too but that's not all THEIR fault.)

So.... if Club Infinite Earths only gets to level 1 we only get Bound version, and if it goes on to level 2 we get unleashed as well as bound, or only unleashed?

Ive read on other sites different interpretations that are only making me more confused, soma say that depending on when you order youll get one or the other, other say that the figure is based on the amount of subs they reach (if it gets to level 2 theyll only make unleashed and scrap bound).

Im not a big fan of matty subs since ive had bad experiences with them (I live outside the US) with my voltron sub I ended up spending twice as much as I would buying the figures through bbts (cause matty used UPS which sucked and they charged me both shipping and import costs and made me do a ton of paperwork evey time I got my figure in order to get it released from customs, I havent gotten a sub since so I dont know if DHL is better) and also I hate that Matty makes you get the sub for 12 figures and they only show you 3 not knowing what sort of figures youll end up getting latet.

But seeing how King He-Man sold for $100 at BBTS Im really thinking of getting 2014 Club Infinite Earths Sub, but only if Ill get an Unleashed Doomsday (getting bound one too would be an added bonus), seems a waste of money if it only reaches tier 1.

CMIII 07-20-2013 04:59 AM

i thinks its gonna be tier 1 we only get 6 inch prison Doomsday plus another monthly figure. Teir 2 we get the Prison as the Monthly with Unchained as the Club Exclusive. I have to pay 70.16$ for next years initial sign up worth it

Dr Kain 07-20-2013 06:14 AM

No, it's one or the other, not both. If it does not reach Tier 2, you get the suited Doomsday because that is all they can afford to make. If it reaches Tier 2, you get the Unleashed Doomsday instead.

BTW, ToyAddict, I disagree, I think last year's reveal of Phantom Stranger alone was far better than any of the ones they showed for next year. Then when you add Saint Walker, Larfleeze, Wally, and Mallah, that is 5 out of the six they showed I had to own. For 2014, I would want Ice and Doomsday, but I don't want the Aquaman or Superboy at all, so I only want 2 of the 4 they showed (or 1 out of 4 if Doomsday is T1 version). For one thing, I no longer have room for variants of characters, especially Aquaman, who has had too many already. Secondly, I don't like Connor enough to care about that version when the 90s version of him looks cooler anyway.

CMIII 07-20-2013 06:56 AM

I'll be honest Phantom Stranger is a space holder to me. I could have named 50 characters more deserving of his spot. He matters only to a very few people

1987olds442 07-20-2013 07:31 AM

It is great that we are finally getting Conner he was on the top of my want list along with Doomsday...God I hope we make to to Tier 2. The only thing with Conner is the head sculpt looks terrible kind of like Omac's but without his mohawk. I was going to making a custom Conner, but I'm just going to have paint up the ML Genis-Vell head casting that I bought from casting cave.

The head looks great painted up check out Loosecollector's Vulcan custom in which he used that head.

From what they've said, it sure sounded to me like if it reaches Tier 2 that Bound Doomsday would go away. However, that doesn't mean they wouldn't/couldn't make him one of the regular subscription figures. They did go out of their way to mention that the bound version is 6". It'd be such a waste to have made the sculpt then not use it.

And along that same line, that's probably why they are offering Superboy. Isn't that the same sculpt they used when they offered a 2pack of him and Miss Martian?

Glad that the Aquaman variant is finally variant enough to be variant! The wave 2 surfer-hair variant was not that exciting. The ocean warrior camo later was unimpressive (now had it been based on The Brave and the Bold's Aquaman's son, that would have interested me). The New 52 one isn't all that different from classic. Finally the hook arm! Granted, this still isn't the sculpt I would have hoped for in the hook-arm version (would rather have had something more JLU-cartoon-like) but it's something different, drastically different, for Aquaman.

And I'm guessing that's kind of the look for Superboy that most people would connect with. At least more so than the all-white-outfit from Young Justice.

CMIII 07-20-2013 07:42 AM

there is something about Ice i just love. She almost looks alive

The Tier 1 Doomsday is the same DCUC Kilowog style body as the Tier 2 Doomsday. When they say 6 inch they mean 6 inch scale :)

Also This Superboy is bulit on a completely differnt body than that of the YJ Superboy they were going to make. This one uses the medium male torso with Jack Knight Starman's lower body and legs.

CMIII 07-20-2013 08:05 AM

would some one at Comic con please verify the size so we can stop assuming is it 6 inch or Oversized. 900 action figure websites and nobody know this is the Bengazi of Action figure collecting

Ravenxl7 07-20-2013 09:43 AM

Not sure what's going on over at Matty, and I can't say if I like this or not. On one side I'm disappointed to see that the Unlimited lines will be ending after this year, but their replacement in this scale isn't all that bad looking. That said I'll most likely just get the Batman Beyond figure and be done with the line. That is, assuming they even release him. After this year's Unlimited figure apparently being canned I'm not going to put any faith in this one being released either.

The 3-3/4" stuff looks interesting. If this line doesn't get canned after a year like everything else Mattel does, we could see some worth-while releases in it. I won't get excited about the Keaton Batman till they announce a Joker to go with him. Since they're finally doing figures based on the older movies, I hope this leads to a new B&R Batgirl figure. All that said I'm not actually sure I'm going to get any of them. It's not a scale I've been collecting, and I'm not sure I want to start.

It's good to see Ra's Al Ghul getting a comic-based figure. Should finally shut some people up...oh who am I kidding, they'll always have a reason to bitch and moan...

I actually kinda wish that Black Manta was a retail figure, rather than a MattyCollector exclusive. I'm not a big fan of the character, but that design is actually pretty good. If I got him Aquaman would become a must-have, rather than a cool but passable figure.

CMIII 07-20-2013 10:24 AM

Black Manta???? thats Oceam Master

Dr Kain 07-20-2013 01:29 PM

I only saw the few item for the rest of the year, saw the new Scarah Screams and the one coming out along side her and that was about it. I don't know what to expect out of MH with the spinoff series dolls hitting now. The Ever After High dolls have been hitting at Justice stores (a girly store in most malls like Claires). And I picked up the Mad Hatter and Evil Queen cause they had a B1G1 on them that actually put they below retail. I did not like Snow White and Repunzell. Yes they all have names but I don't remember them right now.

Specter 07-20-2013 03:08 PM

What scale is the bluish Batman with the grapple gun?
Hope its 4, I really like it.

CMIII 07-20-2013 06:48 PM

I wonder Exactly how many subscriptions they need I wish they would give us a number

abnuggler 07-20-2013 06:53 PM

Club Infinite Earths 2014 meh!

I think Superboy has a different sculpt, the YJ two pack one had a different head (looked more like the cartoon) also he had military boots (his jeans went under the boots), this is more of a comic book based young justice figure/teen titans, though the head looks awfull I liked the YJ one better.

As for Doomsday I hope he gets to tier 2, Im only getting the sub if it gets to tier 2 or it's very close to getting to tier 2 (to help), not intrested in getting 9 unknown figures (that have a potential of being figures im not intrested in) and 3 figures we know of which I only really care for is Ice (Superboy and Aquaman are ok but I already have 90's Superboy and I like him better, and hook Aquaman wouldn't fit in my collection) just to get a bound Doomsday, and on top of that have to deal with the shity service from Matty Collector/Digital River (no thanks I'll stick with my DC Direct Doomsday in that case)

Ocean Master is in Club Infinite Earths. They showed a Black Manta for that new, cartoony-sculpt 6" line as being $20 on the website sometime next year.

He's pretty damn important in New 52. Also he's blinkin' Judas Iscariot.

CMIII 07-21-2013 12:55 AM

sorry but I am sure many people could have lived without him. Judas did three things in the Bible 1) Joined Jesus band, 2) betrayed him, 3) Hanged himself. to make him into a comic book character of almost zero Importance makes it nothing of value and before you go into the Upcoming Trinity War his value will go down as soon as that event end and then likely he will lose his title

CMIII 07-22-2013 06:55 PM

ok good news both Doomsdays are bigger then the 6 inch the Prisoned looks something like a minion from Despicible Me

Now they're gonna guilt trip you into buying these? That's low even if it is for a good cause...

Dr Kain 07-23-2013 05:49 PM

Screw that. I looked at their charity DCU figures as I was interested in Steel, but their starting price was $1000. If I'm not willing buy Steel at $50, why would i pay $1000 for him?

IndyMOS 07-24-2013 04:50 PM

So the picture of the Keaton Batman is 4" scale, but are we getting a 6" one too? I see it says the 6" Master line will continue, and I'm hoping we get the Keaton Batman
