The Super Mario Kart 64 toys would certainly qualify by that definition.

I think technically a toy should have 19 POA or more to truly be called an "action figure" because that's how many the original 1964 G.I.Joe figures had and that phrase originated with that toy line.

Maybe Bandai had that in mind when they put that blurb on the ad. Then again, the copy editor may not have known (or cared) about the Toy Biz line, too.

I'll be picking this guy up regardless of how he's being advertised. I've held off on buying any Mario toys in the past because they all looked like cheap PVC statues to me. SH Figuarts looks like they are going to finally deliver the Mario toy I've been waiting for all these years.

Not neccessarily. The Mario from Wendy's has 5 POA. Neck, shoulders, hips. :)

For the record, I don't think any of us are actually criticizing this new Mario or how it is being advertized. Just gently poking fun at the one banner phrase.
