Definitely! That's the way I am used to seeing him in the comics. ED BRUBAKER: the reason I want all of these Captain America figures!

The SDCC cap I speculate will be reused next year for the Cap line so they are killing two birds with one stone.

I conclude that Hasbro won't really use the ball joints in the MU line unless that particular body style is going to be used in another line somewhere else. Kinda what Snow said as well

why are they gonna use it if its an exclusive? Is it gonna be a different character?

Bodies used for exclusives at SDCC are free to use in the main line I think; I think retailer exclusives are the exception.

You do know that toy manufacturers don't actually "repack" returned product, right? Previously-released toys that are in new packaging or have new decos are brand-new runs done specifically for that release.

Returned product is usually melted down and recycled, if possible.

I don't think it matters, as long as it's a Hasbro-owned mold. They just wouldn't be able to release the mold in that particular deco anywhere else due to the exclusivity agreement. In fact, I can't recall a new mold being used solely for an exclusive (at least with Hasbro). They are almost always redecos or remolds of existing toys (or are 3rd-party releases).

Transformers has several examples of molds used for main line and exclusive releases, just in the ROTF line alone. Even some of the figures in the exclusive multi-packs are the exact same figure as the retail release.

Robogeek28 06-04-2010 04:45 PM

So much awesome stuff coming up, how on earth will I afford it all?!?

Tarquinius 06-04-2010 09:30 PM

The more i look at Thanos the more I'm convinced he will use the Juggernaut body style. Same upper torso, biceps, thigh swivels, legs etc.

I kinda hope he is a tad taller though....

nomad1632 06-05-2010 10:33 AM
