I am crossing my fingers on those, would be cool to get bone armor too. Wowza, just shy of $275 now. Marauder had 1,195 backers and this is at 904 so it is looking good. |
only ~$4800 away from skeletons!

little over 12 hours to go! I'm sure all the new stretch goals are going to be unlocked today. BOSS FIGHT!
|
They're about to hit $345K. Unreal, they've added some more stretch goals too.
|
It's officially done. Added 7 more stretch goals, and reached them all.
412k total. Did not think it would get that far, but I'm happy for em. Now, gimmie those toys! http://www.reactiongifs.us/wp-conten...en_colbert.gif |
$412,270 in total!!!! Minus about $22,000 in KickStarter fees that equals A LOT of cheddar transferred to their bank this Saturday!!!!
I am so happy it was an overwhelming success for them! Well for the ENTIRE 3.75" collecting community really. I like this line a lot, I feel it has more potential with MU for customs than anything else. The MARAUDER kickstarter was military themed, more for JOES, and maybe some S.H.I.E.L.D. or even HYDRA army building. These though, the 'nude' figure has unpainted superhero written ALL over it! Someone should invent a tiny 'plug' that fills that hole on the bottom on the figure and run a kickstarter to pay for it! These figures are far superior to any thing out there, and I love how easily they come apart... a game changer for sure! Just wait until this time next year and people can order any 'blank' in any colour from their webstore and look in awe at the customs that will pour out unto the internet then!!!!!! Very exciting times to be in the 3.75" collecting world!!! |
Why would kickstarter take such a large cut?
|
I always figured it operates like ebay in that it takes a percentage off the top if funded. If that's how much they'd pay in fees it's like about 5% then.
|
I assumed they took a cut for processing the transactions but it just seems excessive. As long as you don't also have to pay fees to Paypal or Visa or whoever then I guess it's not too bad but I am betting those fees are all separate. Ebay usually takes a flat fee on really large purchases (depending on category) but I guess this is technically a bunch of small purchases so it's more work. I wonder how much they would get out of something like the 5 mil Reading Rainbow got. Seems to be a very high profit business model for them.
