Now that I've gotten a good look at the pictures, I'm significantly less confused. These Arkham figures actually look good, so I'll probably get these versions of them, and stick to DCC's comic and show figures. The Nighwing vs Killer Croc set will be a must, though mostly due to Nightwing. I kinda wish they had gone with the Origins version of Croc.

I'll probably just put Croc with my 6" Mattel DC figures. He looks like he's about that size. I might even get Grundy for the same reason. Though Clayface is an easy pass.

The Date Night set is a little... odd. It apears to have AO Batman and Joker, AC Catwoman, and AK Harley. That said, it might be worth picking up since it might be the only way to get Catwoman and I was likely going to be getting both Joker and Harley.

The three new Total Heroes figures look nice. If I get any of them, it'll probably be Steel. Nice looking figure, and I love the hammer. Considering the heavy and obvious parts reuse, I wonder who else they might use those parts for.

Those twelve-inch figures are interesting, and the bat-go-cart is pretty cool. Definitely looks like something that could get the attention of the younger kids.

Looks like the Power Attack line is now The Unlimited line. Not too surprising considering the animated movie coming out. Some of these are actually kinda cool looking. Ridiculus as it may be, that Batman weilding a shark as a weapon looks cool. The transforming cycles is an interesting idea too.

It's cool to see them actually releasing a YC Batgirl. For the sake of those who already bought the line, I was hoping she would be released on her own. Though I'm kinda glad I didn't. That way I can get all three in one swoop. Hopefully this new pack will get released alongside another shipment of the other figures. I would at least like to get the Joker, and I've still only seen him once at retail.

Edit: Reading the list, I'm guessing there are some mix-ups. The Superboy listed under the Total Heroes line is probably referring to the Signature series figure, and the AK Batman is likely meant to be under the Multiverse banner.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the artists series.... sime reakky made me laugh some really made me want them!!!!!

Specter 07-24-2014 12:32 AM

Mattel is going all out with Multiverse which was a good choice.
My Arkham wants will mostly be covered, though I still want Talia, Ra's and Lady Shiva.

Catwoman pack and Nightwing set are must haves.

4" Joker?

I like the Multiverse figures (as a 4" fan).

Am I right in thinking we're finally getting a 4" Joker and Harly?

We have had many Jokers in 4"
TDK
Infinite Heroes
Evergreen
upcoming Injustice

Harley only had Injustice, IH was cancelled before Harley got past a prototype.

Snowflakian 07-24-2014 02:10 AM

The dc multiverse figures are looking sweet!
Can't wait to get a lot of those.

AFTPhil 07-24-2014 02:53 AM

I'm in the UK mate. None of those reached us in decent quantities.

The last 4" Joker I had was the pocket comic heroes one in the 70s!!

It's kind of disconcerting that they haven't shown Damian.

I missed that this was a four pack. At least I really want half of these figures (Joker and Catwoman) because I didn't pick them up from DCC. I love the Origins armor, but I'm just not feeling it's look on the 4" figure. Harley I plan on getting from DCC.

Jlogano20 07-24-2014 07:42 AM

can we just please get a multiverse deathstroke already?

I think there's a good chance we'll see a figure of him made when the Suicide Squad game comes out. Assuming the line lasts that long anyways. It does look like the line is doing well. Otherwise I doubt Mattel would be putting so much effort into it.

Ok, for some reason I was thinking that surfs up Joker had already been released. Hopefully they'll ship more regular Jokers with the surfs up version.

I'm sure they'll do one eventually. It'll probably be a re-sized 6" mold (their Arkham Origins Deathstroke in this case) like Nightwing, Catwoman and apparently AO Batman.

Maverick 07-24-2014 02:12 PM

Want a lot of the 4 inch figures. Little worried what the retail versions will look like after seeing the batman returns catwoman though.

Do you have the figure? I do and she's amazing. I've seen some bad pics over the internet, but in hand she's top notch.

Maverick 07-24-2014 03:48 PM

I don't have it but I've seen it and it looked terrible. Even more so compared to the amazing prototype one. There might be better painted ones out there but it was pretty disappointing from what I saw.

Specter 07-24-2014 03:59 PM

I wonder how they are handling the scale for upcoming figures.
Arkham figures in wave 1 were classic 3.75, movie figures were Marvel Universe scale.

Please let AO Batman be decently sized.
Harley has me worried as she looks taller than Joker in a few pictures.

Yeah, the paint has been kinda spotty with these figures. Unfortunately, the prototype was a professional custom painted just for the NYCC appearance. It was never a reality for retail.

Doesn't make it any less retarded.

It'll e interesting to see what, if anything, they have to reveal that wasn't already shown off in their booth. A preview of the next non-Arkham wave of Multiverse figures would be great. Some more Total heroes reveals wouldn't hurt either.

Edit: Labeling this the MattyCollector panel would have been appreciated...

Specter 07-25-2014 11:52 AM

No mention of Multiverse?

The panel was all MattyCollector stuff, meaning all their online stuff. With the exception of the batmobile, the Multiverse line has been all retail.

There should hopefully be a retail driven Mattel panel at some point.

webz 07-25-2014 12:19 PM

He-man stuff really disappoints... Might have to start collecting the minis, tho... But not impressed will all of 'em... Hopefully can sell some on ebay...

Really wish Mattel would make a retail line of he man stuff again... The subscription based figures really aren't worth the $$$ to me, outside of Battlecat.
