RE: the Nuka Cola armor..I love the idea of selling just the different armors... i LIKE this armor but def don't love it.

i finally put my T-60 together yesterday and man this this kicks all kinds of ass...i LOVE this thing. If not for THIS THREAD..i'd know nothing about these damn things..now i'm hooked..and wanting to pick up the T-51.

Me too. I probably have the modeling skills to make a garage type room to put it in like the main menu of FO4, but I don't have the skills to make the frame.

The Nuka-cola armour is far from my favourite, but I'm going to get it to encourage them to make more. I'd love Brotherhood of Steel knight for the T-60 and winterized T-51 in particular.

Probably my absolute favorite power armor in the series. I like standard T-51 with that nice faded green but the winterized looks so fresh, plus in Fallout 3 the coders messed up so that set has like a million health or something ridiculously high.

Oh my. Remember I said, wish there was an exclsuive T-51 with abraxo cleaner or nuka cola skin.

My dream realized.

And FINALLY they are offering separated armor packs! Maybe they watched my review of the T-60 and listened... :p

The messed up armor saved my ass in that game, especially in the dunwich building and the germantown police station.

i want to go back and play Fallout 3. It was actually my first foray into any Fallout game. I'd say I got about 3 hours worth of play in ..and that was it. But 4 i went balls deep in...and still didn't finish yet.

I've invested plenty of time into each of the modern Fallouts (3 and beyond) and personally I like New Vegas the most, the western atmosphere pushes it to the top for me.

was Vegas an extension of 3?? or a separate entity??
i REALLY like 4..but don't have much to compare it to because
1. i played so little of 3
and
2. it was so long ago i don't really remember too much

New Vegas was built on most of the same software as 3 so it plays mostly the exact same way but it has no actual connections to the game's story or characters of relevance so you don't need to play 3 to play Vegas and get what's going on. 3 was set in the capital wasteland of America while New Vegas is appropriately set in the Mojave region so there's not much room for the two to be related. For me though Vegas just did about everything better. As previously noted I prefer the western setting and its varied features from the wastes of the Mojave to the vibrant and colorful streets of New Vegas. The companions especially though received a major upgrade for Vegas, 3's companions were mostly uninteresting and except for Fawkes they were pretty much all guaranteed to get killed by a stupid grenade trap you didn't see. Vegas' companions I find overall more intriguing and just generally more rounded as characters in the world, plus they won't die to the same stupid shit as the ones from 3. The story in Vegas is also more open to the player's actions. 3's story was basically just "do you wanna be good or bad?" and the events which followed played out the same for either choice but the end was different. Vegas though let you pick from among several factions to align yourself with and then within each faction you could still be good or bad so the end results actually felt more varied and unique to your choices.

I like 4 a lot as a game but it is the least investing to me as an rpg experience because when you start the game your character is already a formed character with a set story and family. Before you can even choose anything you're either a soldier (male) or a lawyer (female) with a baby boy named Shaun. So my character can be a guy who's supposed to already be a soldier but I can make his strength and endurance each 1 out of 10? Or my character is a woman who already earned a doctorate degree in law but her intelligence can be set to 1 out of 10?! Plus then your character speaks which murders any real sense of roleplaying because there's only one voice per gender so you don't even get to pick a voice to match your character. It also feels like every other conversation your dialog choices are just: yes, angry yes, sarcastic yes, or I'll come back later and pick one of three yes options. I know a lot of games work like that with dialog choices because they want you to make progress in the story but Fallout 4 feels really guilty of it to me. The companions in 4 are pretty good though, I only don't like some of them but those that I like I do genuinely like for varied reasons. Ramble over.

Bro ya gotta get the game of the year edition of fo3 and ultimate of new vegas. Vegas has lotsa bugs n goitches but is still fun. Fo3 ya gotta finish it.

So i started playing already...
I bought (and started) Vegas but felt like i had "too much" stuff and like that gave me too much because it was the Ultimate Edition.
I unistalled that game and went and bought the regular game (6.00) and started that one.
It DID give me a bit less and less missions.
I want to play the original like everyone else did BEFORE the DLC.
When i finish I'll pop in the Ult Edition to continue.
I have about 30 hours under my belt already.
Really liking this game..but had to re-adjust to these last gen graphics.

when i'm finsihed Vegas...i will go back and play 3

I've still never played 4's DLC packs yet.

ThinkGeek seem to have improved their international shipping, $38 for the T-51 is not bad at all.

Were you also charged customs when you bought it? In Canada they charge you customs right away on top of shipping...so you know how much they will be.

Beware if not. I think they ship with UPS and customs can be high. Just saying.

Marl...since you have other 1/6 scale figs. do you know if a different head would work on the T-51 power frame.
i want to change the head (not the helmet) to make the guy look different..
and if so..do you know where to purchase JUST heads??
also if so can you snap a pic..

Yes, I guess that could be possible...but it would be complicated to find a head that would fit perfectly right there. I tried to change the head for an Isaac Clarke figure head (also by Threezero) and it didn't fit, but I guess some heads could fit there. The hole in the helmet has a diameter of 10.5 milimeters. So if you can find a head or a neck adaptater that has a hole with a diameter of that size, or slighlty bigger, it would fit. But you also have to keep in mind that the hole in the human head is very deep to make sure that the head does not look too high nor too low on the figure.
