Same it's Strange. I can't make heads or tails of it. I just watch it because nothing else is on tv.

Why should I settle for any less now when shows like Flash and DareDevil understand what the comics are supposed to be?

The first episode was actually quite brilliant. Extremely high quality.

The only thing that is bothering me is that it may end up not being set in the same universe as the films, rendering it rather pointless...

But so far the acting and cinematography have been far superior to Daredevil and especially Flash.

CMIII 02-19-2017 06:36 AM

I watched the first episode of LEGION and that was enough. Almost everyone I know said the same thing. Total let down it was very boring and confusing as to whats going on and when you compare it to Supergirl, Flash, Arrow, Gotham, Agents of SHIELD, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage all of which are like "This is where we are and what we have"

Exodus 02-27-2017 04:59 PM

3 episode in and now I'm starting to get annoyed with the series...:P

Exodus 03-23-2017 09:36 PM

Legion ain't too bad now. You got Sid who's like a Rogue, Cary who's like a Monet, and now they've got the Shadow King which is probably the best name drop ever of X-Men villains.

Archangel 03-23-2017 10:03 PM

Legion is good, it goes for the artsy psychedelic approach most of the time. I like the casting. Fat boy monster Shadow King freaks me out though. I like it in its female version much more. I don't think it will ever attempt to link with the rest of the X-universe, and probably just focus most of the show in Legion's head. That could get old, I don't see it going too many seasons... if any. It is good though, but people will get disappointed if there is not X-Men link.

Totally agree with you there, supposedly their name drop Professor X though but yeah, if it's all in his head then yeah the series will get old fast. Also they're already using a great villain to boot too, if they beat him after season 1 then who else could they use :P

Weapon X 03-24-2017 04:01 PM

This show is probably my favorite TV show now. It just keeps getting better and better.

I agree completely. I've been hooked since Episode 1. Refreshing to watch a show that I can't 100% predict it's next move. Oh, and this scene is everything:

For real though.

And I must admit, going in I suspected there would not be connections to the film series, and it would be standalone. It really upset and disappointed me. But as I kept watching it, I began to really enjoy it even as its own thing. And then the unthinkable....references to Professor X, and then last week when they confirmed him and the shot of his wheelchair.....holy crap....just made the show that much better. Noah Fawley did everything he said he would. He proved that the show could stand on its own two feet without any connections, and then connected it once that was proved. Amazing. Although it was nerve wracking, it proved to be the better path to take than unloading and relying on the connections in the first episode.

(and for fun, I paused on the wheelchair and googled Professor X's wheelchair from the films, and it is the exact same chair.)

The show is just masterful. I am so excited for the future and more connections.

This show is also exactly what X-Men needs. I will be the first to say I loved the hell out of X-Men Apocalypse, but a lot of people didn't. Couple that with Hugh Jackman leaving and uncertainty about the future of the main movies due to possible expiring contracts....this show has come at the perfect time to breathe new life and a fresh perspective to the series. I think this show and Deadpool have saved X-Men from uncertainty and secured their place in the filmic world.

I hope that the upcoming show Gifted will further add to that.

I didn't hear about another Mutant show, what's Gifted supposed to be?

It's being developed by Matt Nix of Burn Notice. The pilot is directed by Bryan Singer.

It is about a family who discovers their child is a mutant and go on the run ans connect with an underground group of mutants.

The biggest mutants announced to be in the show are Blink and Polaris.

Can't wait!

redfox 02-11-2018 09:21 PM

Me too! More original than most of the "Super Shows" on now, but still connected to it's comic roots. Definitely needing some more Shadow King/Aubrey Plaza in my life!

Highly doubt he will...but let's see how it is..This show only got better once they showed Shadowking...But let's see how they actually show him sesaon 2...

Exodus 04-04-2018 10:49 PM

This show is so trippy...I really hope they don't take the whole season to find the body, it drops names and so forth but I think Gifted is way better then this show....

Exodus 05-16-2018 02:04 PM

This show went from trippy to straight garbage now...
