Vehicles, play sets, they take up less room and are generally cheaper (although the price points are getting closer these days).

Sorry, I can't. You never know when someone from WB just might look in here and see my hate for their movie crap. Slim chance, but still necessary.

Get off my lawn!

Back in my day was 80's raised with the superior toy company Kenner. And as a kid if you didn't have imagination, then action figures weren't for you. The so called adult collector action figure is just a figure with more articulation which leads to weak ass joints as proven by DC comics collector lines, henceforth why they've fixed them. Neca in my opinion is going downhill in quality in my opinion, McFarlane is a joke, so sure I'll take these and the multiverse figures over $20-$25 for junk. I'll spend extra if it's nice. If not, won't waste my money. These days I'd rather have all the old batman movie toys still carded then all the crap that is out there.

snake5289 12-29-2015 06:50 PM

Alongside Kenner I grew up with G.I. Joes. They were small, had a great deal of articulation and gear, and you could blow them up with fireworks and they still kept on kicking ass. And modern day Joes are even better. Though I wouldn't strap the fireworks onto them nowadays.

zim 12-29-2015 07:02 PM

what stores?

I've owned probably every type of figure from every popular franchise from the 80's through the 90's. For some reason could never get into joe. I had maybe three through the years. But nothing else.

snake5289 12-29-2015 07:35 PM

To each his own.

And I think zim meant what stores they were found in.

Found at toys r us, I've searched everywhere and they seem to be the only place this stuff is leaking early. Tons of stuff on eBay.

I'm having a very hard time processing the fact that these are 6". Can anyone here verify with pics? I mean, with all the gimmicks, the lack of detail, etc.

I don't follow any of the DC lines but I heard that Mattel stopped producing 3.75" DC stuff. I expected them to move forward from the gimmicks and lack of detail to make ML looking figures and what-not. They seem to be just making the exact same thing but making them 6" if this is correct.

Wait, those are 6 inch toys?? I thought those were the 4 inchers.

Skoob 12-30-2015 02:18 PM

They're 6".

And that's all I have to say about that.

As of the information provided by Mattel back in October at NYCC, it doesn't look like there will be a 4" line at all, everything's going to be 6".

TheBlueMarvel 12-30-2015 05:07 PM

So what's the general consensus, are these figs > or < Total Heroes?

FYI...I don't care about the answer.

Wow, those things are even worse than I thought then.

I wanna try and put this argument to bed...

The new BvS line are indeed 6inch figures. Less articulated yes, but still...6 inches.

Honestly...I'd say Total Heroes. It's sad how much shit these got, because despite the gripes about sculpts, articulation and what not, I rather dug the stylized look...

Captain Morgan 01-02-2016 08:51 AM

I purchased the Multiverse line on Amazon for less than $80 with free shipping. Hope they are worth it.

Falconhood 01-02-2016 09:17 AM

I only bought Wonder Woman

I plan on getting the collect & Connect line, mainly for the grapnel gun and the characters that probably won't get better figures. I'm reasonably sure that the full line will consist of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Armored Batman, Knightmare Batman, Lex Luthor, Aquaman(unconfirmed), and [REDACTED]

Kirathis 01-02-2016 12:35 PM

For those who seem confused, there are actually two sets of similar figures out right now for Batman vs Superman. The pictures most have posted with figures in the card and bubble packs are $10 and are closer to the Total Heroes style. Figures like the pic posted by Falconhood are the $20 collector's series style figures which is where the Arrow, Flash and other figures from that group fall.

Both groups are in the 6" range. The collector ones seem to be a bit larger based on holding them side by side at TRU earlier this week. Sorry, should have taken a comparison pic while I was there. Either way, I am personally thoroughly disappointed in the sculpt of the majority of the $20 line. In particular, the $10 movie Batman looks better than the $20 one to me.

There are definite QC issues as well with the $20 figures. I did not pay a ton of attention to the $10 ones. One of the Arrow figures I saw had an undefined blob as his right hand. Half the figures (Arrow and Flash for sure) have no ab crunch, diaphragm or waist articulation and all of them have single joint elbows and knees. If you want lots of articulation you are not going to get it from these.

I you haven't gotten the C&C pieces yet, just know that it is pretty cheap looking,I got the handle piece today and the plastic wood on the grip looks like one of those dollar store cowboy guns.

Captain Morgan 01-03-2016 11:26 AM

I hear the Wonder Woman figure is hard to find.

TheMattMan095 01-03-2016 12:06 PM

I got Armored Bats last night and he already has loose legs...

Didn't see any Wonder Womans. Maybe she was buried.
