Where's Ant-Man in that shot? Granted I haven't seen too much of the second season but I know for a fact he joined the team at some point.

Robogeek28 01-21-2016 06:42 PM

Panther looks fantastic!

Is Iron Man a whole new mold, or does he use older parts?

I would agree with you Snowflakian, had Hasbro not pooped the bed when they rebranded the MU line, and clogging the pegs with such MUST-HAVE figures as "Re-re-rereleased Bleeding Edge Iron Man, clear purple Wonder Man, re-released Captain America and re-released Guardians of the Galaxy box set figures that had been rotting on pegs months beforehand". It honestly seems like no one knows how to do 3.75 figures now, SInce Mattel's Multiverse line fizzled out and got turned to 6" scale, and I haven't seen a single Black series (Not the new Wal-Mart ones, the Commander Doom and Dagobah Vader ones) anywhere besides specialty shops and Gamestop. The only figures that seem to be doing okay are the Force Awakens figures with 5 POA, and I do not want that disease to kill any other promising toylines :P

(I say these things out of a place of love, as I was crazy for the MU First Avenger line, and loved every figure (though I did hate that P.O.S blade shield that came with Bucky Cap, haha)

lordbest 01-21-2016 09:00 PM

It's kind of sad that I'm genuinely surprised that they are producing a 12" and 2.5" Black Widow figure.

Ninjinister 01-21-2016 10:11 PM

I do hope 3.75 gets more than two characters. With so many characters in the movie that'd be a disservice.

They literally gave us no good AoU 3.75" toys and then just one Ant-Man toy so I wouldn't get too hyped for this. Maybe they'll do some store exclusive repaints like the AoU TRU two packs but those were all just older toys so they don't count as new for AoU.

ukmu 01-22-2016 05:01 AM

I think that this will be the only 3.75" offering.... I too am not hlding my breath for more. Maybe a few repacks but I doubt even that. At least we got a 3.75" motorbike....that no one is excited for.

I love my 3.75" figures but not super crazy about cinematic stuff. I do hope we get some upgrades from AoU line for those that are looking for it though.

Hasbro has to please all those mommies and girls that complained about the Quinjet didn't include Black Widow and the Millenium Falcon didn't include Rey.

And so they should.

Grippen 01-22-2016 08:13 AM

well I actually bought that jet and some of those 2.5'' figures for my 2.5'' display shelf so BW is welcome lol although I must say she looks horrible. I got Scarlet Witch and with a proper repaint she is not that bad.

I think she has a great shot. During an interview at last year's SDCC, Dwight Stall named Scarlet Witch as the top of his Marvel Legends MCU wishlist.

Very cool. Then they both might get a decent 3.75'' figure then!

That wasn't only "mommies and daughters" complaining. That was everyone who blatantly saw how they decided to ignore the star of the movie itself for no other reason than her gender. That one's not on Hasbro apparently either. Orders came from higher up than that allegedly.

Exactly! The point of a movie line is to re-enact scenes from a movie. So the vehicle features should come with whoever uses them in the movie. For AOU that was Black Widow. For Star Wars that's Rey.

Sounds like. Way too many blatant misogynists on the internet these days. My block and ignore lists are getting way too long.

Hey I can live with another wave of 5 PoAs if need be.

I agree black arbor. Some of the decisions seem really bizarre, like making a Hyperion 2 pack when he is the peg warming champ in my area. there are so many other marvel characters to release (#wheresgamora) and if they are gonna repack figures why not do the ones with high secondary market prices.
I consider all of his constructive criticism with hopes of improving the line.

I think Gamora will finally arrive when we get the new Vision and Living Laser. I'm still not overly thrilled with the look they chose but I'll look to get her to fill out my Guardians.

Madame Warlock 01-23-2016 01:26 PM

Stoked we're getting that Falcon costume, it's my fave Falcon costume unless you count the new Cap one. That Black Panther looks AWESOME I just hope we get a 3.75" release. I know they rereleased the old Panther figure just now but it's not got the awesome detailing.

TheMattMan095 01-23-2016 01:58 PM

Would it kill them to make a new mold for Cap? Third time they've used that. Shameful.

If it does well, we could see more of them because it's profitable and has market data demand. The more demand for them, the more likely we might get the TV side done this way too. Like Deathlok and Coulson. Quake and Melinda May. Mockingbird and Maria Hill. Daredevil and Elektra. Punisher and his gear. Jessica Jones and Kilgrave. Okay that last one isn't likely to happen, but Jessica Jones and Luke Cage as a two pack might. Or Iron Fist and Misty Knight.

But none of that can happen if sales on a line like this don't show the clear demand of how much we want them. So if we want more MCU 3.75 we need to show it with our wallets so retail chains beg for more. If retail chains start bugging hasbro about making more of them because they sell so well, we'll get more of them outright. Major retail outlets are who buy direct from hasbro, while we buy from the retail outlets. The mass orders of places like walmart, target, and toys r us have the most sway at Hasbro.

So we need to spend hundreds of dollars on a line that's been out for 7 years in hopes that they might release figures of core characters someday in the future instead of the repaints we have been receiving for the past 3 years?
Yeah, I'm going to go with my original plan of just buying a sporadic figure here and there if I'm actually interested.
If you keep buying any crap they shovel at you they will keep shoveling the same crap.

That's how I feel about the 5 POA crap these days. Even when my son was 4 I remember him getting annoyed with the lack of articulation. If we settle for garbage we continue to get it.

Yeah. The 5 POA crap gave me my shelf filler rule.

Which is why you buy the articulated line. Not the 5 POA one. Support the 3.75'' legends line that has articulation. The more Falcon and Cap from the more articulated line that sells, the more likely more will come with at least matching articulation or higher. I think you misread what I said. In this instance so far, it's only 2 figures. That fits your sporadic figure buying habit as you suggest.

Falcon and Cap look like new molds entirely. Falcon at least definitely is. Cap in theory could have been done from combining parts of his various molds, but don't think they did that.

Until how the retail market data is handled is changed, we have to go by the basic principles of the market, and that's supply and demand. We need to show the demand is strong and staying strong. Cause we'll keep getting 5 POA as long as it's more profitable to them. So if we show the demand is there, they'll provide the supply side to tap that market that's trying to throw money at them.

37 nerds on ToyArk isn't exactly a force to be feared by Hasbro. ;)

No...But people who are not on Toyark add to that number exponentially.

Exactly! Plus out of those 37 people, if they tell 1 person each, plus gifts for any kids in the extended family, and on down the line it grows exponentially. Basic business 101. You anger 1 customer, you've really angered 10, because that 1 tells others. Well here, the reverse is true too.

You make 1 MCU fan happy, or in this case 37, you multiply that by 10 because of each person they tell and get excited about it to go buy them, which in turn they tell more people.

Still not even a dent.
