Has anyone tried an LBC and turned Spidey Noir into a Dreadnok? Maybe put Ret. Joe Trooper head on him, or Ren. Ripcord head? I'm thinking about getting a Spidey Noir, if it he could be turned into a Dreadnok. Pics would be nice if you have done this.

Thanks.

I got this wave in the mail on Friday. While its is a step in the right direction from the awful figures we got in 2015, it's also a bit frustrating that the most articulated figure from the wave (noir spidey) is on a recycled buck from 6 years ago. Hasbro really tanked this line the last few years. I have no problem with them recycling old bucks as the stuff that came out when David vonner championed the line is FAR superior than the stuff after. I hope they continue that trend of reusing the old bucks, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

What old MU figure used these parts? It would be nice to see if these parts could be used in customs. I'm only into Joes, so I have very very little knowledge of MU. Thanks.

Okay, the front page is really confusing me. Every time I see Marvel Legends Wave 1, I keep thinking it is some new reveal only to learn it is the 4 inch figures again.

Yeah I feel like Hasbro's decision to rename the 4" line as Legends will just confuse/complicate matters. Like at ToyFair pretty soon I expect there will be a lot of potential mix-ups for the fans as to what line is doing what, especially if they only announce something but don't actually show it because then it'll be up in the air until we actually get to see it.

My comic shop ordered a set and got me a Black Panther today :)

Was a bit nervous after seeing all the pre-orders sell out, but not surprised.

Spider-Man is now up for your viewing pleasure. The deco is awesome but the hands suck!

That's just a slightly repainted House of M Spider-Man isn't it?

DESTRO 02-09-2016 08:00 PM

Not a great version at all.

Totally agree. I can also see it becoming a problem when using Ebay, Amazon and ect too.

New Captain Marvel figure is up and cue Dr. Kain complaint about it being 4" (actually NO ONE says 4" we all say 3.75") instead of 6".... ;)

I was able to make several figures from Wasp, this body might just be better than that one was.

CCC.

Yeah we barely get any major retail lines right now and the 6 inch stuff is pretty amazing and diverse so it's awesome to see someone pop into a 3.75 thread and complain that the figures are not 6 inch.

Agreed 100%. Hell, the Spiderman Noir photo shoot here recently got me because it was referred to as "Legends." I was like, "Wow, this sucks for a Legends fig...oh, wait, it's the 4" line, wtf?"

Just rename it Marvel Universe and be done with it. Re-branding a line 200 times in a row just confuses your user base. Universe, Infinite Series, Legends...when does the madness end????

I'm fine saying it's 4", as most of these figures these days are that height anyway. I mean, who's going to quibble over a quarter-inch anyway?

Oh yea, collectors, that's who. I forgot where I was posting for a sec, sorry.

See, this is where the new 4" "Legends" name got me again. The 6-inch Captain Marvel is great, and I thought you just got a bum one, but then I realized this is the 4" line. Stop it, Hasbro!

BTW, yeah, that paint is hot ass juice. She looks more like a female Jigsaw than Marvel with all those lines and scuffs on her face.

DESTRO 02-10-2016 07:42 PM

And finally Yondu, one of the best figures in the wave with a great paint deco.

Marvel Legends Wave 1 Yondu Photo Shoot - The Toyark - News

ukmu 02-10-2016 08:47 PM

Going to shop in morning and buying him!!! Have seen the new MLS wave in a three stores within less than 4 miles of me now. Plan on getting most if not all. Yondu is and has been my top pick, this COMPLETELY sold me!!! Nice review DESTRO!

I don't think I will pick up Captain Marvel though. I like to display only one version of any single figure in our 3.75" collection. Also, I am really liking Triton. I have seen him several times and looks great!

With the price lowered on this line I am loving it!!! MU was £10, MI was £13 and MLS is £9. They are now cheaper than the Star Wars 5 POA figures ( £10 ) by 10%.... Better articulation ( not up to MU standards yet, but moving up from MI standard) almost perfect card art ( to me anyway ) lower price by almost 30%, and easily found wider distribution.... I don't say this often, but way to go Hasbro!!!!

ukmu 02-10-2016 08:53 PM

Also, yes.... calling them MARVEL LEGENDS or ML is confusing to all involved. The card says and Hasbro has referred to them as MARVEL LEGENDS SERIES or MLS. Perhaps if we use the SERIES or S when posting them DESTRO it 'could' help to eliminate 'some' of the confusion. Just a thought...carry on. ;)

Edit: maybe I should change my name to UKMU/UKMI/UKMLS now

En Sabah Nerd 02-11-2016 06:27 PM

I got a Captain Marvel today from TRU and the paint on mine isn't bad at all on the face. Mine's face is smooth and normal looking so maybe it's just some that look like she washes her face with sandpaper. Mine does have some very small red bleed over on her lower arms' elbows but it's not figure-ruining and makes sense since the arm looks to be cast in red but painted blue there. However the right shoulder on mine has some sloppy black lines which are even more off set by the left shoulder's normal lines. It's definitely a figure worth thinking about but I'd say finding it in person to look it over is in order.
