Wonder if NECA realized this and removed the feathered rendering on the box artwork.

I know that the Rambo line wasn't a big seller, but I'm kinda curious as to why we still never got the Rambo released with the bow and arrow outside of the videogame figure, and yet, Rocky is somehow getting a re-release.

The last two to three Rambo releases tanked. The Rambo NES figure is one of their worst sellers in the line and I still run into that and the SDCC one here and there at Toys "R"Us stores. To the general, non-hardcore fan, they really don't need more than one Rambo and there were no other characters coming out to support the need for multiple takes on that Stallone.

Rocky is celebrating an Anniversary, so it seems a decent time to redo the line, especially since aftermarket prices on some of them have gotten way out of hand. According to Randy, they currently have 16 waves planned out for Rocky if it sells well enough. and with this, they at least have supporting characters that are as recognizable as the main figure.

Wait don't you mean 16 figures? Not 16 waves of figures? Or is that correct?

Also anybody know of a place to get clubber Lang and rocky with belt seperate? Bbts has the 4 pack and I pre ordered that but in all honesty I'd rather just have the 2 best figures. Like above stated about the Rambo fans only need one, I only need one rocky.

Might be able to order them separately from Toysrus.com when they put them up.

I thought he said 16 waves, but that may be the same thing. If each wave consists, mainly, of two figures available in 2 styles, it's easy to extend the line out.

I'm only interested in Clubber Lang for this wave and just counting on NECA to do a Rocky 3 figure with the American flag shorts in a later wave. I guess technically thats what the video game version was but, would really like one with a realistic paint job.

If Neca has Carl Weathers likeness rights. Why haven't we got a Predator Dillion yet?

Separate license. They have had rights to Apollo Creed likeness for years. Haven't been able to get him to agree to terms for Dillon.

I see zero resemblance to Carl Weathers in the smiling Apollo head sculpt, hate to say.

He's asking more for Dillon than he did for Apollo? Or does NECA just think Dillon wouldn't sell as much?

*EDIT* And while we're on the subject of Predator, have you hear any talk about Jesse the Body's likeness rights being talked about at any point?

From what I remember, Weathers really likes the Apollo character, so the license was a little easier. But the cost for Predator was just too much. He's apparently pretty difficult to deal with. They want to do Dillon. There's a back and forth (again) between Randy and Weathers on Twitter right now. For, the 3rd time in past 2 years, Weathers said "it's possible", Randy said "Let's do it" and nothing will happen.

Last time Randy was asked about Ventura, he simply said likeness rights weren't available.

They most likely will be, I've seen plenty (actually most) of NECA's stuff not be on Toys R Us for pre-orders but they still get them in stock and sell them when they are actually released. Give it some time.

Yes. They shipped out to retailers last week, which means they should start showing up in stores within 2-3 weeks after that.

I love any and all Mr. T figures...BUT...as i'm looking at my ..i wanna say Jakks Pacific ..Clubber lang...it still really holds up. Not really a reason to buy this one. I'm going to get it and bring it home and do a side by side comparison to see if I really feel the need to own this.

Not feeling that Apollo Creed figure.
