I was thinking the same thing with Unimax/FOV..Bbi does have good detail but when it comes to making detailed landing gear they can come up short,,,at times...I just hope the L/G is not over scaled and metal is used in it to keep the look right...it would be cool if the front L/G wheel could depress.
their F-18 and F-16 are cool but non of the flight controls air brakes or a any real depth in the intakes can be seen...these details would be greatly appreciated if incorporated in to the F-14....I check with about a dozen folks across the globe who have no idea who is making this thing and are doubtful of its existence.....while it does not mean much I am hopeful it will turn out to be something and would love to get my fat huge hands on it to evaluate it... Pros and cons

Back to Unimax if they are the ones they might take a simplistic approach to making it along the lines of BBi which would be a disappointment in the detail I want...but at least we would be getting a 1/18th F-14

BTW I have about 4 F-18 and one F-16 from Bbi,,,one room to display them so they are boxed up...but I do have space set aside to display it just in case. The detail on them are OK but you start to notice the little thing that the don't have the list is long and many..but the size of them will make you wounder in amazement for a long time....just don't try to look at a real F-18 and F-16 to see what is wrong with the 1/18th birds and you will be alright.:D

I think I found some news on it.......but it is not the news you guys where hoping for....my gut feeling is that its a 1/32 scale bird from Fame Master Enterprise and their 4D puzzle line up of NEW products......I hope I am wrong about this...maybe I am......

They look far too different. Though....what if they are made by the same company? Does Kawai distribute anything for Aoshima/Skynet? When I saw a site with a listing for the 4D puzzle Tomcat, the Aoshima/Skynet name was attached....

when you look at the ejector seat different color but the looks of the molding looks the same the front landing gear looks the same. the rear of the turbines afterburner same..it is possible that they are going to make a 1/18th version..I sent a message a few days ago to them. Or another company used a prototype picture from Fame Master Enterprise 1/32 tomcat in promote their 1/18th tomcat....

I think the 1/18th f-14 is a prototype picture from Fame Master Enterprise 1/32 F-14.....that my gut feeling after looking at the two pictures...if that's the case then it could be any ones F-14 maybe Bbi

It looks like the F-14 could be real......
the representative (Jason) from Admiral toys says that that have had contact with said company but that the detail has not as good as bbi.
No name of the company since they are a new start up company and want to remain secret until they have their feet firmly planted...It looks like they are looking to sell their products her in the US.

Also include to be made in 1/18th by same company are the F-18 and the F-15.

Good scoop brother! I read the intial report from Bird Dog yesterday at SSHQ, and was awaiting further info. Hey if it is less detailed than BBI, maybe it will be significantly cheaper, and BBI's prices were already pretty good and affordable!

Speaking of which, man I miss their 1/18 aircraft! I stared at my 1/18 Apache the other day, and man that thing is constructed so well!

i know 21st century built up all that hope for an upcoming 1/18 f-4 and b-25, just to cancel the b-25 and and come out with the f-4 in a smaller scale, bad business. i feel for anyone who preordered the f-4, just to find out it isn't going to be released in 1/18 scale. 21st century toys needs to get with it, they say they are afraid to, due to the size and cost of these planes, bull.... if you ask me i think they will sell like mcdonalds hotcakes.

jsi is on track with the f-14, f-15, and su-27 flanker. i think they will do extremely well. people like me who have waited so long for an chance like this will pay just about anything for these planes. i mean how many people love top-gun or movies like final count down for pete's sake, top gun is still an iconic movie for teenagers thinking about joining the military, adults, veterans and people who just love airplanes. so i know i can't wait to see them, and own a few of these planes myself no matter who makes them. they have my support.

Speaking of Countdown, the first paint scheme for the F-14A is said to be VF-84 Jolly Rogers.
