You nailed it.

I mean the new Scarlet Witch series sucks but I'd still totally buy a figure of that design. The BvS designs are fine. WW is one of my favourite WW costumes easily. Even Armoured Bats translates pretty well to toy/statue form.

What to do when toys suck but the movie doesn't? Who am I kidding? Civil War has a notable lack of merchandise if you ask me which is a shame because I think it's easily one of the best current superhero movies.

As others have said, collect what you like because you like them.

I've got more then a few figures that are from iterations that I don't particularly care for, but they're good figures anyway. Heck, I've got a few figures from properties I know very little about, but they were cool figures so I can repurpose them as I like because I have no attachments to their "official" fiction.

For example, I have the Dark Knight Returns Wal-mart Exclusive Superman figure. I loathe that story, but a chance to get a good big articulated Superman figure on the MOTUC buck at a retail price was something I wasn't going to ever pass up.

I came really close to picking one of those up. I'm not a fan of TDKR either but it's a really solid looking figure.
