Aw man, those new Icons aren't going to be out until May and June of next year. That is a long ass time. I guess that means the ones that were supposed to be out in Sept and Oct probably got pushed back until early next year.

So we'll have to wait and see. There was quite some time before they announced wave 4 so it's not unusual that there are no news.
They said during the previous convention they'd love to do Mr. Bloom. IMO they just have to do Rebirth Batman in Capullo style. It's his design.

As for what they revealed here. I like it a lot. Rebirth Batman looks fantastic, and I'm glad they fixed his costume compared to the solicited picture. Bummed we can't see how Damian looks.

I hope you're right. I want them to complete de New52 Batfamily, adding a GC Red Hood, Red Robin and Damian before wrapping it up. Didn't know they wanted to do a Mr. Bloom, the design is amazing.

As for the rebirth design, just bring it!

If anyone is interested, here are the official images of the new DC Icons/DC Films figures. Shows all the awesome accessories these guys come with!

Also FYI, the DC Films figures shown in these pictures are all sculpt prototypes, and don't have articulation added to them yet (with the exception of Armored Batman/Zod). If you want to see the complete versions of Superman/Faora look at the pictures taken at the SDCC display. Superman has been updated to look WAY better, and they've added Faora's articulation.

I just hope the Etrigan head and fire breath actually make it into the final prodcut.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if we lose Sinestro's shield, the Etrigan pieces, Deadshot's sniper rifle, and Captain Marvel's book.

Really excited about the Ant Lucia series ! Some of these designs were amazing, especially the Black Canary one. From those displayed though, I only liked Harley.

CasualCollector 07-21-2016 06:59 PM

Animated highlight: Those expression faces are necessary for die-hards and looks fantastic.

... But Batman Beyond's wings are getting shaved down and no articulated features and that bums me out. That or this is some show piece. I fear the worst.

Harbinger 07-21-2016 07:01 PM

Oh god i love love LOVE that bombshells harley.

i like the zod. I cannot believe I am saying this, the Superman figure is too expressive. Henry Cavill is a very stoic superman and an emotionless robot. Take away the Smile and they made a very good Superman for MOS/BvS

Louise Belcher 07-22-2016 12:45 AM

Why DC Collectibles still don't use thigh swivel? *sigh*. I see they made another repaint of that weird big thighs Batman-_-. The Batgirl from Icons looks nice, but she is too expensive and doesn't have thigh swivel:/.

For what it's worth it kinda looks like she does have a swivel in the upper thigh, just below the hip's ball joint.

Oh you're right, you can see it in the larger images from the Thursday update. I haven't missed the thigh swivel in my Icons characters but I was wondering how it would work with Batgirl riding her bike.

Dr Kain 07-22-2016 08:20 AM

They can swivel in the joint there, just not as much as we are used to. However, the figures with boots tend to have a rotation right there, so it makes up for the lack of a thigh swivel. Unless you're Superman though...

Anyway, has anyone actually asked DC what is up with all of the delays on the Icons stuff and when Waves 4-6 are actually being released? I want my god damn Joker already!!

You must be thinking of Mattel or a different DCC line because the Icons line doesn't have stiff capes.

lordbest 07-22-2016 10:24 AM

Apparently the New 52 7-pack has been cancelled in favour of the Rebirth pack according to the DCC guy Pixel Dan interviewed.

Edit: The Supergirl head sculpt is not final either. Thank god.

snake5289 07-22-2016 10:35 AM

Boo! I much prefer the New 52 Superman suit over Rebirth not-Ultraman.

You got your Supermans mixed up. The New 52 Superman was more like Ultraman as he was a glorified jackass. Kind of like Zack Snyder's version. The Rebirth Superman is the true Superman, a hero who will fight for truth, justice and the American way without a shred of doubt in his thoughts.

snake5289 07-22-2016 11:13 AM

I was talking about the suits only. Rebirth Superman just looks like Ultraman with an "S" instead of a "U" on his chest.

I'm well aware that Rebirth Superman is the classic version.
