Whoever's the current head of Konami is seriously running it into the ground if you ask me. Either that or they're severely out of touch with what their consumers want.

GI Joe style Resident Evil for me too, ever since i watched my sister play the first one.

Final Fantasy 7
Dynasty Warriors
Forgotten Realms characters
Dragon Ball Z (i would kill for a good sturdy line)
The Last of Us
Fallout
Elder Scrolls
Bloodborne

Everything

especially fantasy based figures.

My most desired lines though would be
Final Fantasy
Legend of Zelda
Predator

A guilty please line would be a line based on Harvest Moon characters. I know that will never happen though unless I make them myself.

It could happen. They made "action" figures for Golden Girls, a sit com with little or no action in it. Personally I think they would be better served doing Maude. At least we would get Adrienne Barbeau.

CCC.

Well, it's also a matter of trying to keep ahead of the curve and grow. The new MGS spin-off looks fun and a nice break from the MGS world to try something new, but it's definitely not a normal MGS title.

Creatively, teams like to do something new or different when they've been immersed in a heavy project for long durations. Look at Gainix themselves, and they're push to do FLCL after evangelion because they needed something completely wacky to do after all the drama and headaches that was the first Evangelion series. So I'd say give them time to adjust and do some different things before they dive headfirst into more military heavy societal commentary pieces that the MGS & R series are massive mouthpieces for. Sometimes you gotta do something completely different before you jump right back in other stuff. Even Kojima himself wanted a break from normal MGS to do stuff that's different.

So let's give Konami some breathing room to find their footing. While Kojipro has been handling heavy MGS, the other departments at konami were still heavily immersed in the other areas of it too. Plus I'm kind of curious how the new MG might turn out, but I expect something extremely different after. (Plus still hope they might come back and outsource Silent Hill to Kojima's new company after they do some other projects first.)

Though, that's even more reason to maybe have some fun with a castlevania title, or try something completely new too.

With the success of Minecraft and similar indie games. I kind of wonder how long it'll be before Harvest Moon comes back the forefront in a heavy way. Already surprised they haven't merged it with animal crossing and done a collectible line for both combined.

I don't think it had to do with the previous releases NECA did, from what Randy said on Twitter it was one of a few possibilities. Either Konami didn't understand the appeal of having the retro color scheme and they told NECA to stop or Konami thought the sculpt was too strong as they were expecting something simpler/pixel-like like the colors would suggest and they told NECA to stop.

Hmm. No clue then. Not sure what the market strength is on the 8-bit color scheme ones are anyway.

It varies from figure to figure and generally I think the license is still the ultimate factor. While the NES Predator sold very well in my area I can't be sure if it was because of the paint deco or if it was just because of hardcore Predator fans. The Rocky and T2 ones on the other hand didn't seem to perform well and again it's hard to be sure why. There are certainly fans of the different retro video game colored figures (I've picked up a few myself) and I guess there's enough strength in the idea that NECA has continued to make more.

Any and all fighting game lines, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure are my top picks.

I'll really be glad to see the first trilogy of X-men movies. Would be an amazing addition to the MCU toys. And maybe the fantastic four.

snake5289 09-12-2016 11:32 PM

Still disappointed that Logan's movie suit wasn't in the XMO line. Not like it would've been hard to do.

Wolverine 3 would be a good time to do that. If it's really his last movie, Hasbro should do a send off toy line. From his first appearance as wolverine to present. Would make a great retailer boxset too.

snake5289 09-13-2016 01:33 AM

I'd certainly be up for that.

Snowflakian 09-13-2016 03:31 PM

I know we've gotten the Dead or Alive women before, at least Lei Fang, Hitomi, Ayane, and Kasumi, but I've been playing Ninja Gaiden 3 again lately and it's got me really wanting a Hayabusa figure now. Ditto to Ayane, Kasumi and Momiji in their default ninja gear from the game. The Demon Hayabusa form too.
