Is that a smaller Leo in the last picture next to Raphael?

Sure is...unless it is a mock-up, I'm smelling a future exclusive coming our way...

THESE ARE FANTASTIC! I already have Donatello on pre-order. I would love to know when the others will be released. Does anybody have any idea? I will put them on my list too when they become available. Curse NECA for the trickle of pictures! They look great though.

I also found these online of the figures

Joelston 09-28-2016 02:38 PM

Wow.. wow.. wow (picks jaw up off of the floor)

They will be released quarterly once Donatello is out. So, If Donny is October, then January, April, July.

I never had a problem with black leather x-men costumes, Prime's flames, etc. I don't want every version of the different characters to be identical. Where's the fun in that? I don't want to see the same look and story over and over and over. How many times have we seen the death of Thomas and Martha Wayne? It gets tiring. Letting TMNT look like teenagers instead of nudists wearing belts was a good idea to stress their individuality, promote their personalities, and also shows their desire to "fit in" with human culture.

I don't have problems with the vast majority of adaptations, gun-toting Batman being a good example. But I hate the look of Bay's TMNT. It smacks of those 90s videogame characters who wore shades and had a raised eyebrow, like some old dude's idea of what kids would like. I find everything about the attempt embarrassing. They seem to be leftovers from when he wanted aliens. Things like giving Donny glasses and making Splinter... I don't even wanna type it. I mean Bay has serious form with this stereotype shit. It's just depressing for me when The Next Mutation isn't the lowest they've gone lol.

Yeah, what he said^^^^^^

Nice image of Donatello!...But that Leonardo..

Joe Moore 10-04-2016 09:18 AM

It's based on an old trading card error. A pretty obscure reference.

I think I still have the full set stored away somewhere. The original Turtles movie was a a pretty big moment in my childhood. :D

My girlfriend is fiending for that Raphael. She went nuts when she saw it on display at NYCC.

RamenRider 10-19-2016 07:08 AM

They do look great. But add me to the list of people who don’t want them because they’re too big. 7" versions would be absolutely fantastic, I would buy all four.

Tokyomeltdown 10-19-2016 07:54 AM

Exactly, I don't want 1/4 scale figures dominating my room - no matter how cool they are. Unless there's a licencing issue I can't imagine why there won't be a regular scale release.

Tokyomeltdown 10-19-2016 07:56 AM

I hear what you're saying, but the Bay Turtles look like hobo monsters...just saying.

MegaPrime33 10-19-2016 10:10 AM

If only these were 1/6. They really are doing an amazing job with these figures.

There is a licensing issue, hence why they are doing 1/4 scale figures and only allowed to sell the 6" stuff for cons.

Joelston 10-19-2016 02:23 PM

In a year where some of the best action figures to ever be produced have been released consistently month after month, and countless pre-orders for Marvel Legends, SH Figuarts, Star Wars Black, NECA and Mezco figures have absolutely decimated my budget, these Turtles figures have immediately shot to the top of my most-wanted and most-anticipated list. Every new photo that trickles out just keeps getting better and better. These look insane, it's hard to believe that they are actually action figures and not Jim Henson puppets taken directly off of the set of the film. NECA is absolutely killin it!

I couldn't believe it when I saw the black and white photo of Donnie they posted to twitter they other day. If the articulation at the knee had been hidden better, I would have said that it was a shot the movie costume. Raph was my favorite growing up so it's good to see that he's at least getting released second instead of last.

Raph was mine too and I was stoked to see him second. He never get released that way he is almost always last or at least most of the ones I want are released last. I cannot wait til he is out. Plus the figure looks great! The sacred on his face, fantastic

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1/4 Scale Packaging Design by NECA - The Toyark - News

http://news.toyark.com/wp-content/up...o-NECA-Box.jpg

Bearjew 10-25-2016 12:32 PM

I was really hoping the packaging would suck...because I wanted to display the figure outside the box. The box looks fantastic so now I will want to leave it in the box.
