These are rad. I could never find the original line when I was a kid because they always had limited stock on this series for some reason.

OriginalFire 04-24-2017 10:55 AM

This is so cool, and so awesome. Wow, they look amazing.

Robogeek28 04-25-2017 06:07 AM

I don't remember much about this line, but I do remember my (ex) wife collected many of the figures when we were first married.

I was really hoping for a long ass time that Bucky would make a comeback at some point, I just didn't know if there was enough interest, so this is great. Super stoked for Dead-Eye as well.

OriginalFire 05-11-2017 10:21 PM

Are the Storm Toad Troopers actual individual characters or are they just army infantry

WOW, preorders so soon? I'm glad BFS is able to take off and start offering fans different lines w/o having to go back to kickstarter again.

While I have no imotional attachment to this property, the figures look so fun and I can fudge them into any space/scifi 6" display I'm sure.

CaseyStelken 05-22-2017 11:05 PM

Thirty-five dollars each?? I was really excited about these, and planned to get them all... but for that price I likely won't be getting any of them. Kinda bummed now.

I even tried to do petition to lower the international shipping, but now seeing the actual cost of the figures themselves, I think I will give up on these. 35$ for 4" scale figures with minimal painting, accessories and articulation?! No thanks.

Thor Laserpunch 05-23-2017 03:11 PM

$35 is not really outrageous. This is really a niche line. I'd pay it.

CaseyStelken 05-24-2017 06:14 AM

Sure it's a niche line, but does that mean they're making them in extremely limited numbers or something? I don't care how niche it is; asking $35 each for figures that aren't much larger than a GI Joe and have nearly as basic of a paint job is a huge turn-off for me. I was thinking these were gonna be maybe $15-$20 each. $25 tops. And I was gonna buy them all. Now I MIGHT get Captain O'Hare... if that, even.

Four palm-sized figures for $140? No, thanks. Toy prices keep getting more outrageous, and I'm not one of the suckers who is going to continue to fall for it, thereby continuing to encourage manufacturers to keep hiking their prices. Count me out.

theArchivist 05-24-2017 06:45 AM

Boss Fight is also a very small independent studio with limited resources so all of their figures are produced in a relatively small numbers. I fully support the small independent creators willing to take risks to produce action figures in the scale I collect. I wouldn't really classify people that support those figures as "suckers". I may only get one of each at the $35 price point but I will support the line for sure so that Boss Fight can continue to create more figures and compete against larger companies that continue to pump out less than stellar figures in this scale at a much lower price.

CaseyStelken 05-24-2017 08:06 PM

I see your points. I look forward to seeing the photos people post of these when they come out. If they look as good in-hand as they do in the photos, then I'll probably get Bucky at least. But I still have a hard time justifying getting more than one small 4" figure at this price point. Even if I would just get Bucky and Deadeye, that would cost me $70 for two small figures... and that's not even including shipping. I don't know. Really hard to imagine that I would look at these after spending that much and be able to honestly say to myself, "This was worth it." But I guess we'll find out.

Well said! It's time more adult collectors wake up and admit the problems within the toy market and treated the same way like any other product they buy by being wise consumers.

How is that competing when you charge higher prices?! Because their toys aren't complete garbage?!

They said it would be open for a while. They usually run pre-orders until they receive product in but I'm not sure since this is a licensed product.
