Batman animated series DC Collectibles

Hi everybody
I just sign it on Toyark forum. I really love the new Batman animated series figures. For me it's the best serie I ever seen I'm really fan of it.
But I have a question, why don't they made Alfred action figure???
He is very important to help Batman in a lot of episodes don't you think?
Is someone have an answer?
I really hope DC Collectibles will make it!!

I think we will get an Alfred at some point :)

Skoob 01-14-2017 10:26 PM

Hi, Nico! Welcome to the Ark.

It appears that Alfred was released previously as part of an exclusive 4-pack under the "New Adventure of Batman" banner. Capt. Krabs is probably right: if there is enough popular demand, then Alfred's individual release is probably just a matter of time.

It was not part of this line though, it was part of the "bendable figures" 5.5" line.

That's if you were reffering to this: http://ii.wbshop.com/fcgi-bin/iipsrv...=3000&cvt=jpeg

Skoob 01-15-2017 03:08 PM

It's been a long time, but I distinctly remember seeing a lousy sculpt of Alfred in a set of articulated figures many years ago. Anyway, we haven't seen anything yet from DC Collectibles, right? '

"Hope springs eternal." :D

bigkid24 01-15-2017 06:43 PM

Yes they made an Alfred figure in the old animated line. He came with a tray I think.

SPLIT LIP 01-15-2017 07:52 PM

$175. You have to be joking. That's $35 a figure, and they're not even that good. That's a full $10 more than Marvel Legends, and these figures are basically bricks as their articulation is on average pretty useless and limited. (and hideously intrusive on the sculpt, see Killer Croc's ab joint)

That's fucking ridiculous. Man, DCC really ruined this line.

That works out to DCC's recent price standard, $28 per figure.

Also, where do you live that MLs are $25 a figure?

aladdinsane 01-16-2017 12:20 PM

That's a great looking set...the price, yeesh. I'll probably get it but hoping that it'll get heavily discounted...

RKillian 01-16-2017 10:12 PM

I really want to love this line, like I loved the show back in 1992, but DCD/DCC sure is handling it stupidly. This box set is stupidly themed and stupidly priced. As somebody who actually buys this line, twice, forgoing the carded releases for a box set is a slap in the face.

stupidly themed: are any of these characters in your top 5 when you think "Batman's Rogues Gallery?"
stupidly priced: no discount at all from the $28 MSRP? really? you know this line sits at $20, right?

Also want to say that the Girls Night Out set using the BTAS Harley is stupid. And soliciting two wrong versions of Mad Love (black suit Joker, metallic suit Joker) before releasing a third also wrong set was stupid too. If the line tracks the animated series (see the stands - and the black trim of Harley's outfit), it should've had TNBA Joker instead of BTAS Joker.

Yes. Poison Ivy, Mr Freeze and Bane especially, Croc perhaps not but not far off either. Montoya isn't a Rogue but she is the third most prominent GCPD officer in BTAS and the only without a figure until this one so that makes sense too

RolandofGilead 01-17-2017 03:07 PM

I preordered the set from BBTS right away.

I had picked up the first few figures in the new BTAS series but kind of forgot about them. Then I opened the Mask of the Phantasm set and I'm more excited about getting the whole line than ever. Of course it would have been nice to be able to remove the Phantasm's mask to reveal Andrea Beaumont.

Apparently they were going to include an alternate head (just a removable mask would've meant an undersized Andrea head or an oversized mask) but since the figure uses the Phantasm's masculine body as seen throughout the film it would have looked very weird with Andrea's head.

My list starts with Joker, Riddler, TwoFace, Penguin, Catwoman, and then the likes of Mad Hatter, Poison Ivy, Mr Freeze, Scarecrow, etc. Bane doesn't even rate, the 1990s gimmick character that he is. All of them deserved a solo release before crap like Man Bat and most of the TNBA redesigns though.

Well, that's the thing. Everyone's "Top 5 Members of Batman's Rogues Gallery That Come To Mind" list is different. Obviously, for most Joker will be near, if not at, the top. But the rest will vary wildly. I don't even have a Top 5 that come to mind, for me; it's more 10-15, because Batman has just too many rogues for only 5 to come to mind. I imagine there are others that are the same way.

For me it would be Joker, Penguin, Bane, Mr Freeze and Poison Ivy. Catwoman I see less as a rogue and more of a supporting anti-hero. Two-Face, Croc and Riddler would be in the top ten. As Jeddostotle said, everyones list will be different. So to me this set makes perfect sense, for you obviously not and fair enough, it's a subjective thing.

Premium Collectibles have this up for pre0order now for $150aud which works out to $113usd.

Surely the 5 figures shown will be available to buy separately from one another? I love Bane, Croc, Freeze and Ivy but I really don't want Montoya!

Funnily enough, Montoya is the ONLY one I'm interested in. If you were to buy the set I would happily buy Montoya from you.

Same here, I lucked out on the B:TAS Batmobile as it was discounted at my LSC and I had some vouchers to use, really hope I can get this cheaper somehow! $175.00 is way too much though, i'd rather they just release them all as single carded figures without the light up box! Its not like we haven't had both BTAS/TNBA of the same characters already (Batman, Joker, Catwoman, Riddler, Batgirl) so why not release the BTAS versions separately

Agreed, with her, Gordon & Harvey Bullock we have all the main GCPD officers from the show. The only normal human we really need after that is Alfred

CoolToysOnly 01-22-2017 07:54 AM

ADD ME TO THE LIST of wanting INDIVIDUAL RELEASES

I only cared about the original first run of the animated series figures anyway, and then they bundle up 4 of the classic original animated series villains in this gimmicky over-priced light up box set. LAME!!!

If this is the ONLY way to get them I am going to be angry at that retail decision as I only collect the figures.
