I was excited for series 12, but I'm a little meh on the battle damaged Aliens, I would been happier with updated normal Aliens Xenomorph so that we would haven to pay ultimate version prices.
In regards to the Alien Club, I just find it hard to believe that the End-of-Year exclusive figure will be all that impressive and that's saying something coming from an NECA Alien Completist. You know it's not going to be a figure with with a lot of extensive new tooling, or any new tooling for that matter. With the trend of the exclusives so far it's probably going to be an exclusive repaint of a Kenner figure. That plus the inflated shipping prices is just not worth being apart of the club. I will admit the SDCC Sewer Mutation AVPR Alien was a nice perk for Alien Club member, but you still had to pay 30 bucks plus shipping for what amounts repaint of what should really be a $22 figure max. I'm really not that disappointed I missed out on it. |

To be completely honest, even though I'm a member, I hope it does not come back. Also, god forbid that it's such a success they do it with other lines. If I have to join a Predator club, I'll have to have Randy explain to my son why he can't go to college. |
Preorder for Series 12 just went live for the club. $91.96 plus $22.53 shipping. The end of the year figure better be something absolutely stellar….and cheap.

I really wish they'd do a Predator club as a UK buyer... Sick of crap UK sellers on eBay and elsewhere. |

I could go for a Deitrich figure. She was pretty cool....until she panicked and torched Frost, that is. lol.
|
BTW, one battle-damaged alien is blue, the other brown...I'm confused. What color were they in the actual movie?

Why do all of NECA's Ripley figures always look so bored? She's like the antithesis of the crazy Bill Paxton/Hudson figure, lol.

Some do looks nice but I will never join a club. I will not force myself to buy everything or pay above srp for figs.

Haven't been buying NECA merch for some time now; too busy with vintage stuff these days. But just noticed the msrp for a single figure is $50 here in Australia! Wasn't paying more than $35 a few years back, and that was too much in my opinion...no more NECA for me.

No matter what, just a bit much to spend. |
Unfortunately NECA's product is only sold in specialty stores here, Toysrus etc, doesn't stock NECA. NECA merch is generally more costly outside of the states, irrespective of geography. For example, Japan is a stones throw away from Chinese factories, but NECA merch is just as expensive over there.
I love much of what NECA offers, but their product just isn't worth double what actual msrp is supposed to be. |
