I wish they put up some kind of tracking to show how close (or how far) we are to funding for these. I plan on being "All in" now, but I don't look forward to heart break come October 6th.

If any Power Lords Club member is NOT planning on ordering the new figures, I'd love the discount code.

Just a heads up, despite some confusion, the 4H have stated unequivocally that everything pictured with the figures will be included (e.g. extra heads), despite what was (mis)stated on a recent podcast.

Just over a week to go now. I wish there was a way to track how far off we are. All we know is that the 4H aren't impressed.

POWER BUILDERS BEING ADDED TO THE POWER LORDS PRE-ORDER!
Many of you have requested it and we’ve listened – we’re now going to be adding two Power Builder figures to our Power Lords pre-order so you can build your Power Lords armies! These two figures will utilize the same articulation configuration and weapons as the other Power Soldiers in this wave, but will be sporting much less paint, allowing us to offer them to fans at a lower price point. While the normal 4″ scaled Power Lords figure sells for $22.00 each, plus shipping, each Power Builder figure will only be $15.00 each, plus shipping. And YES! There will be a specially priced six-pack option for the Power Builder figures! The Light Power Builder is decked out in all white armor with a black visor, and will come with 2 Power blades, Ion Blaster gun, Power Staff – all cast in black. The Dark Power Builder is sporting all black armor with a red visor, and will come with 2 Power blades, Ion Blaster gun, Power Staff – all cast in silver. Please note that the Power Lords All-In set will NOT include the Dark Power Builder figure or the Light Power Builder figure, but we will be able to combine separate orders to save you money on shipping charges with this pre-order. Keep your eyes peeled for the launch of these two amazing new figures later today at Welcome to Store Horsemen - THE place for all things Four Horsemen related! Power Builders are $15 per figure and the Power Builder 6-pack is $80 |

Here's an idea of what the 4 soldiers would look like with their heads swapped.
I really like the look of the new visor helmet heads on the more expensive fully painted bodies. |

 I love it!

 THREE DAYS LEFT TO PREORDER!
Just a reminder that this is "all or nothing" here. Our last chance to help the Power Lords line continue. If you're on the fence, or hesitating because you are hoping to see this pre-order fail in the unlikely hope that the Horsemen will suddenly switch gears into 6" scale figures, I think you'll be missing out on something grand. We've been asking for two years for the Horsemen to come back and make good on all those Power Lords promises of old. Here is that chance. Please don't let it slip through your fingers. RoG |

Time to play "What's my order?"
Here is my order as it stands today. I plan on processing my credit card tomorrow. ggrorr deeseevor desceptor disguyzor yargoth thaygor 2 flozari shock trooper raygoth 2 dr. waybar 2 zergot 2 ranan tactical soldier sydot 2 power soldier sh'vix 2 power soldier assassin power soldier dark guardian power soldier light guardian 2 power armor adam power 6 Light Power Builder 6 Dark Power Buider It's a lot for me (I'm not rich) but I wanted to support this line wholeheartedly and sold a lot of Star Wars 6" Black and MotU Classics to do it. (thank you to all who purchased) |

If anyone out there has any interest in this line, the new preorders end tomorrow, Friday, Oct 6 at 3 pm EST on storehorsemen.com. As of right now they're only about half way to their goal, so things aren't looking good for Power Lords continuing.
I just got a few of the previously released figures in the mail today, and I'm very happy with them. It's a very unique bunch of characters, in a style we really don't see any more. I'll be sad if we don't get any more. |

TODAY! (Friday, October 6th) at 3pm Eastern Standard Time US, the pre-order for the new wave of Power Lords figures that's going on at Store Horsemen will be over. The problem at the moment is that we're still only about half-way to meeting our goal for the production costs.
We really appreciate all of the love that everyone's given to this Power Lords experiment by placing their pre-orders and by helping to spread the word, but if we don't make up that ground by tomorrow afternoon, we're unfortunately going to have to cancel all of the current pre-orders, void all of the pending credit card transactions, and the Power Lords action figure line will not go into production. SO, if you haven't placed a pre-order yet, or if you've been considering adding to your already existing pre-order (we will be combining shipping for multiple orders for this sale), or if you could please just help out by spreading the word, please do so now and we can hopefully make this weird little action figure line happen, and bring back some more of that cool 80's nostalgia. Just go to Welcome to Store Horsemen - THE place for all things Four Horsemen related! to place your Power Lords pre-order now! Whatever happens with this pre-order, THANK YOU once again to everyone who's helped out in any way!! We really do appreciate it! |

I am NOT pleased that this failed. Those soldiers are top notch and deserve to be made!

It's a shame that this line died because a lot of the figures looked really cool, but unfortunately these guys shot themselves in the foot. It sounds like their business practices turned a lot of people off and cost them the necessary pre-orders to make this work. |

 Ouch. |

I hate to say this. But why do it at all. Power Lords were cool some what but forgotten.

I don't like Four Horseman approach to this line. They just took out the unique and fun play value of the original line and turned into another boring adult collector line. I don't get why people get nostlagic feelings from (most) adult collector toys; they just improve the look of the original toyline, but they are unable to create the same feeling it had. I mean, we all played with playline toys as kids, not fargile without gimmick adult collector toys!

When the first PLs came out I went all in, I picked up every figure and most of them were the same figure in different colors, in multiples. I supported the line wholeheartedly and even bought the club membership. Then the 4H guys disappeared for 2+ years with nary a word or update. Then they showed the new line and disappeared again for over a few years. They couldn't have treated the fan base any more like crap and that they were doing us a favor at best. So this last go round, for as much as I loved the figures they produced, I said No. I originally planned on dropping a few grand on the figures but couldn't do it this time and still feel like a principled person. The fact is I swore of 4H product a long time ago due to the fact that they treated the 1:18 fan base so badly and with no apology, just a "you'll buy what we tell you to buy" type of attitude. I will support Marauder and Boss Fight for a long, long, long time because you know what? They don't treat us like shit. 4H can eat a bowl of dicks as far as I am concerned and I am glad they can't get a 1:18th line off the ground now. You reap what you sow.

After everything that's happened, I no longer believe that was their intent. I think everything changed for the Horsemen when their own properties took off and they lost all interest in Power Lords. This was a throw-away so they no longer had to read all the hate post from Power Lords fans on their site.
This is coming from someone who really believed in the line. That stuck it out and championed them for two years while being ignored. Who pushed as hard as one person could to see this pre-order succeed. I don't think they put in much effort at all. You can see that in the attitude of their final response. Essentially: "Oh well, we tried." |
