I'd feel bad for Randy and co. if they're viewing these threads, he announces a Fog figure and all we can talk about is The Thing haha

My girlfriend really wants this figure...she's a huge fan of The Fog. Her birthday is next month, too bad this isn't going to be out in time for that.

That's on Randy...dude should be giving his audience what they're asking for. While a Fog figure is cool, I can't imagine anyone on Earth was actually asking for it, or Chop Top, or Iron Maiden, and so on. A lot of the Mego figures kinda reek of Randy making his own little pet projects, that's all. I bet if Randy was a big Thing fan a MacReady would sure as hell be made, no question.

I mean, you can't tell me that a Captain Blake figure would ever outsell a fucking MacReady, because it wouldn't. Like Joe said earlier in the thread, they can say The Thing is too obscure but The Fog or Re-Animator aren't?

BTW, I'm overjoyed that a Re-Animator Mego is being made, just to be clear. Herbert West rules. :)

Yeahhhhhhh, at this point I'm just praying McFarlane grabs the license to do a one-off Mac for their new catch-all 7" line haha. I wanna get the 8" Herbert West so that it sells well and we could potentially get a 7" one... But I wish I didn't have to :P

Dear Randy Falk (I figure you're reading this or someone linked it to you) WE WANT MACREADY FROM THE THING! 7 inch, 8 inch, 18 inch, doesn't matter (just please no bobbleheads or cord hangers) Just look back at this thread to see just a small sample of people clamoring for Mac, or check out the Movie Maniacs site to see how people are reacting to PCS's 12 inch and 7 inch Macready's getting cancelled, spoiler alert, it did not go over well...

I don’t understand the appeal of these things. Why would you want the sculpted detail of a modern figure with the odd proportions and baggy clothing of a vintage Mego? Seems like a very strange combination. :confused:

Nostalgia maybe? I honestly don't know, what I do know is that I am getting at least one of these, the light up eyes is brilliant, can't wait to own this.
