Wow, he looks even better than that initial shot of him (which looked great too). Love the proportions and paint on him and the magnet gimmick is sick! Love everything about it basically.

Booster Gold 04-23-2018 07:33 AM

I dont post much over here but WOOOAH! this looks amazing. Where can I pre-order one!

RamenRider 04-23-2018 08:23 AM

Damn this looks good. I love the magnets; I have a magnet board integrated into my desk which will be perfect for displaying this glorious wall crawler.

I'm surprised to see you here :D

HLJ and AmiAmi should open pre-orders soon. It’s either those or Amazon Japan if you want to import, but local retailers should carry it too.

Yeah I rarely come over here as my primary toy collecting is Transformers these days but do collect some superhero stuff, 2 of my five shelves are devoted to them. My screen name suggests as much does it not? So gutted the DC Icons Booster and Beetle two pack got canceled :(

I will keep an eye out, seems Anime-Export carry them too.

Toonstrack 04-23-2018 09:42 AM

OMG its gorgeous. Absolutely perfect. Thats a frickin long wait, but it might be worth it.

That's why I know you :D

Only 3 more months and then it's Dinobot-time!

I always wondered why you named yourself in honor of Booster Gold! And yes... I know the feeling, it stings.

RedHeadKevin 04-23-2018 12:23 PM

I'm just waiting to giggle at all the people who use the web effects as something... ejaculatory.

deecee4 04-23-2018 02:41 PM

Pre order is up on Amiami now.

How much? I'm afraid to visit due to half their inventory being pretty NSFW. BBTS has him listed for $95 and that's a lot of nope!

deecee4 04-23-2018 04:18 PM

About $70 on amiami. Depending on the shipping, you're probably not going to be too far off from what BBTS is asking.

Tomax 04-23-2018 04:43 PM

Ohh damn, much better pics. Ok I'm sold. This could replace pizza spidy

Ah. Yeah, I didn't realize that'd include international shipping. Guess I'm preordering it on BBTS. Yikes, this is going to be expensive but hopefully worth it.

Booster Gold 04-24-2018 03:01 AM

It's up on Amine-Export too at 6630 Yen, pre-ordered!

Amiami doesn't really have that much NSFW stuff; maybe you're thinking of Nippon-Yasan? They have like a whole site dedicated to it.

graphyt 04-24-2018 03:55 PM

I think this is my perfect Spidey. Proportions, colors, articulation, eyes, just everything is exactly what I've been wanting. Help that I'm a sucker for a toe joint. Umph my wallet is going to be taking a beating in the coming year.

Augustus_Cole 04-24-2018 04:11 PM

looks amazing... still not paying that much for it though.

magma169 04-25-2018 06:53 AM

Meh, not sold. The torso articulation looks weak on this guy. His sculpt is ok but not anything great. Not too impressed by his accessories and I am wondering why there's so much hate on Revoltech's version when the latter comes with more faces/accesories and is a lot more poseable (judging purely from the pictures). I would argue that even the Mafex sculpt is not that much more superior.....

Wonky, stylized proportions and exposed joints that dislocate parts of the body and create ugly gaps in the process aren't for everyone.

The Mafex one looks much better IMO, and seems to articulate well enough, going by the shot on the frontpage.

I like the Revoltech Spiderman quite a bit actually but the figure has a decisively fragmented look and the gaps can be an eye sore in certain poses and angles...plus it has a bit of a pinheaded look to it which might not be everyones cup of tea.

Also, I don't think Revo Spidey has that much more accessories than Mafex either. Going by the pics, looks like theres a pair of fists, magnetic splayed hands and possibly web shooting hand and web holding hand(s). It also looks like there could be a non magnetic version of the splayed hands.

I agree to everything you say but I think that in end it nails everything Spiderman should be in action figure form. Aside from the Toybiz (Mcfarlane/ JSC) Spiderman (that should still top every list of best spiderman toys), no other version comes close to nailing that gnarly, arachnoid "feel" and comic look (especially considering that most companies have been putting out loads of "movie" versions).

Honestly, judging from the pictures (and take this with a grain of salt since he isnt out yet) the Mafex version seems to have the same capabilities as the ML version...... with a far superior sculpt and paint. This is ok, but it still feels like a relatively tame figure (based on what they show us).

True, I stand corrected. You only get an extra "head", but also the Revoltech version costs 15 dollars less (I am looking at BBTS)....

Yeah, that Revoltech Spidey looks like a broken marionette in most poses and is a bit *TOO* hyper stylized, looks more at home in a Marvel Vs. Capcom display than a Marvel Legends display haha

webz 04-25-2018 04:07 PM

Just preordered from hlj. Looks good. Will display with Legends Carnage, Diamond Select Venom. Fits the scale I like for those characters, like a poster.
